Good advice to ensure you have copies of the necessary information.

However, we are not issued an immunisation card in Australia.

Most people will have online access to their own immunisation records. But always good to have a hard copy, if we are ever allowed to leave the country again.

Yes I have a copy to saved to my Drop Box and Goggle Drive so I can access it anywhere in the world, with all my important stuff. Yes easy enough for Aussies to get a new copy.

Video good however I read somewhere the other day they where asking people not to laminate some of them because of the heat treated paper they used to print the vaccination record - when you laminate the heat from it is causing problems with being able to read the record. Sorry here in Australia we are just given a record of our previous vaccinations, so not sure what other countries have.

Yes in frozen section with other gf stuff, but not all iga stores stock them. Down here i have 5 igas within half hr drive, Batehaven, surf beach, malua bay, tomakin and moruya. Only surf beach iga stocks them. Ask your iga manager to order them in thru metcash, their supplier.

    Thanks,  will do.

The very best GF pies, meat and apple, wonderful, from Gluten Free Bakery based in Qld, but they retail their pies in many IGA stores.  They have perfected their pastry and fillings.

I haven't seen these yet - are they in the frozen section? I usually shop IGA

Not down here, one vacc centre, Batemans Bay Medical Centre. All coordinated by them, local surgeries have forwarded their registered patient lists to the centre. The centre contacts you. But with 20,000 people and 80 shots arriving a week, it will take a long time.

This just goes to show the problems when there is nothing consistent with the process. I initially was told GP would coordinate but my gp wasn't doing them as single Dr practice. I only found out by accident to look up government Covid website to find injection centres, and make appointment.

Not complaining because at least the vaccines have started.

    Stay safe.

My June P&O was cancelled so I booked the same ship and itinerary for August  Got e mail yesterday saying lots of their August cruises have been cancelled BUT mine is still - at this moment - going ahead BUT the itinerary may be changed   Do we want to cancel for refund (no extras offered)   I am waiting to see where we will go  Glad to hear your good news   Hope to catch up sometime  Yvonne

We booked Carnival Splendor for my birthday - so when cancelled, I just rebooked same cruise for the following month. Carnival's offer was too good to not rebook. I still have heaps of credit with Princess but hope to use it next year.

Getting our jabs tomorrow morning so we can have had both before our next cruise in August

Hi again, I just had my August cruise cancelled with Carnival so now booked September.

Clive and I had our vaccinations last week thankfully.

We decided I need to keep booking cruises to have something to look forward too. Everything has gone ok and I am slowly getting better. Hopefully we will run into each other on another cruise. We have Hawaii booked for April next year.

  8. Barry sorry to hear, I have recently been through this also and had thought about it as I have 3 cruises already booked - I need something to look forward to enjoying.

We had many months of upset however other than a few minor side effects I am mostly ok. I hope you get through this together and will again soon be able to cruise.

Covid was actually a good thing for us as I would have had to cancel 80 days of overseas travel, instead I got most of our money back or credits because of Covid. And even fought the Travel Insurance company to get my Annual Travel Insurance Premium refunded - took a few months but they where not getting to keep it.

Wishing you both the very best.

The australian log in site has a link to enable you to pre book the Fohrenheit 555 restaurant but does not give details re price today and th wine possibilities   I am guessing the option for purchase 50% off would only be offered in the US based ships as we do not get many of the same perks

I might have to look into this. We just booked Splendour for 10th Aug for Queensland cruise. I just keep booking cruises in hope to soon get away.

  10. We just put a deposit on Sydney to Hawaii return in April 2021 - 35 Days, with our cruise credits - I got a balcony under $10,000 which is less than the brochure (but never paid brochure price yet anyway) and this is a popular cruise so it can be expensive - Not a great deal of balconies available now.

    https://www.princess.com/html/global/brochures/au/au-aus-nz-asia-v2-2020-2021.pdf

The 28 night around Australia had no balconies left and they where charging $9000 for an Oceanview - No brainer why we chose the above cruise for now.

  11. We fit several of the categories but will be cruising with Princess again. I have just booked again to use up all our cruise credits we amassed because we didn't take the money. We have already spent 30 year travelling in and around remote areas of Australia, but we still like to visit some of our closer country towns for a few days away.

We lost 92 nights of cruises and touring but my only sad thing is I would have been in Paris in 2 weeks and that is what I miss the most.

  12. I can't help you your proposed cruise, but know how you feel about weird. I like to cruise a few times a year, have had 3 cancelled but so far booked one for March 2021 by transferring deposit from one of my cancelled Princess cruise.

I initially just didn't think too much about it but with all the non cruise people saying "how could you think of cruising?" it does get to you. I am still going to keep looking though and why I am here on the Cunard group as I am looking at my first Cunard cruise from Sydney to Singapore to meet up with a booked Princess cruise in March.

I have always been a positive person so decided I am going to keep researching as we just never know.

The good thing to come out of Covid 19 for me personally is that many around me know understand the need to take precautions for others - I am immune compromised and lived with it for years yet people just never understood why I was so careful about all the things, they now do. In many ways my life may be better - but still want to cruise.

The health info that was sent out is telling passengers to call Princess if you have a chronic or underlying health condition.  I assume Princess medical team will look at your chronic condition and make a decision to allow you to cruise with your condition or require you have  letter from doctor stating you can cruise with your medical condition.  Example; someone who has chronic asthma which makes them  cough or breathing issues.  To some lay person who sees this passenger coughing onboard may tell ship staff that this person should not be allowed on ship.  They have no idea the person has chronic asthma.  This is why Princess is asking people to call them prior to showing up at port and then being denied boarding.  I would not want to fly to Australia or Europe only to be told; sorry you can't board.

Years ago Princess had a form you could complete if you had health issues - this was different to the Travelers Health Declaration. When I was new to cruising I emailed it off to Princess just so they where aware of my health issue - no problem. Maybe they will just bring this back. Initially there was an age limit on some information from cruise lines but it was quickly removed. You can have very healthy 80 year olds and very sick 60 year olds so didn't make sense to make it a blanket thing.

Looks like maybe that is what they did, too.  Nothing puts off potential cruises more than being lied to.  Yes, we have to be gullible to accept these offers ... but, it's still shameful for offering these terms.  We were offered additional OBC to not cancel our spring cruise that was canceled...poof!  Then, we booked a cruise and were given a complimentary upgrade to our favorite mini suite ...also canceled.  Poof!! It's easy to give away upgrades and good deals for sailings that they know will never happen.  Still no refunds back on either.

I am still in hope our 56 night cruise goes ahead from October. I have had several upgrades nothing great but ok. On our roll call there where a lot of people there 12 months ago, on our roll call we have recently had 102 cancel the cruise that we know about. It seems as people cancel many are getting upgrades and the prices of the inside cabins are more expensive now that I paid 18 months ago.

  15. We have 3 Princess cruises booked for this year - June, September and October. We haven't received any information like this (live in Australia) my Hubby is 80 and healthy, healthier than I am and I am much younger.

We are keeping an eye on all the issues but if we need a letter for hubby I would get it - not ideal but would do it. I already have to get a letter from my dr regarding the medications I carry.

Our biggest issue with cruising now is that travel insurance is so expensive for both of us - so I tried something different the other week. Hubby's travel insurance is though a company who covers over 65 and I have gone with a company known for covering pre-existing illness. Doing this we saved half the amount of the cheapest quote I had for insuring both of us and when you intend to be away for over 80 days it is a lot of money.

  16. @scubacruiserx2 Hi I have enjoyed many of our photos and your journey as we are doing part of the Baltic later this year. I will be cruising into Copenhagen in September - a Saturday and just curious if it is easy enough getting bus into main city or if I should organise a taxi before or just organise on the pier? I have a canal tour booked for 9.30 and the ship arrives at 8 am. Thanks for your thoughts

  17. Thank you both for responses - for some reason I missed them before.

Unfortunately my back will not take the trip out to Petra, and I presume maybe the Dead Sea, or the Wadi if it is in 4wd Utes. We spent time in the Arabian Desert last year and my back suffered after, but still loved it as we used to do a lot of 4wding.

I might have to have a rethink about what else to do. Thanks again.
