  1. On our last several cruises on Silhouette, edge and Equinox I was advised by the X rep in the Apple store not to their apple products. We had lots of OBC. So I cashed it out on Roulette in the casino on each cruise. I also asked on last cruise when will they buy more Apple products and he was hoping later this year.

One note, when you are in a cash crunch like the RCL company is I am sure many companies are Leary to let them buy on credit or RCL is hesitant to buy on loan, they must rate their debt as to best use of money.

  2. I have been on 3 cruises since restart. All were in Ft Lauderdale. We have been off by 745 am and that was with luggage being handled for us. People walking off line up around 7 on deck 5 on S class ships but we have not had clearance until 730am or so. The process is very quick now, no more waiting in line for customs. It is all done via facial recognition. As fast as you can walk you are off. Last time we were in our car by 750 in the parking garage and we were given tags that said 745. So you should be off without hassle.

  3. I have used my points many times. I used BOA website to order the OBC. Each time it appeared in a couple of weeks. It did not always show on X website, but it always was on my account when I was onboard. I also used for Royal cruise. It has always worked. Only issues I have had involved cancelled cruises in March 2020. That was a nightmare. The second nightmare occurred recently when I got tested positive week of cruise. I managed to transfer some OBC to kids on that cruise. I lost a portion because they, BOA and RCL  messed up and we lost 50 out of 250 OBC. But they tried.

Bottom line it will work most of the time. If anything happens between BOA and X it is not a good process and no one knows the system. Most of the time it works. If something happens good luck finding answers or tracking. All questions are handled by a section of CC at X. I do recommend copying your order on the BOA site for your record. The records of your order disappear after a month and cannot be tracked.

  4. We called celebrity. We asked for money and got all including internet and Bev Package that we purchased separately on internet. You might have to call TA and that will be harder. That is why we have not used a TA since coming back. I like control. It will be interesting to see if you get all your money back or the TA asks for something. Good luck.

  5. We had to cancel the Tuesday before our cruise. We got all money back. First Sunday after canceled we got all money we paid ahead, we bought drink package and internet. Then two Sundays later rest of money. Do not expect anything from them in terms of explanation, acknowledgement, etc. Nothing in way of communication just money returned to original payment card. We used one card on board for deposit and one card for final payment. We also had used our X card points for added OBC. Since we missed cruise and our daughters family went anyway, we were about to transfer that OBC to them to use on the cruise. I was surprised that worked given their compute system but it did. Kudos to them. I just wished they gave you somekind of summary when cruises are cancelled to follow the money. It becomes complicated when visa credit card points are involved with OBC.

  6. Hooskydo, we tested positive on Tuesday on our own, then went to a Dr who tested us that same day. We then called X before our scheduled test at CVS on Friday prior to our Sunday departure. We called and were told we had a choice. We chose cash return. We never received any kind of confirmation or had to prove anything. They took our word.

  7. We cancelled a cruise on April 5 and were told we would here something and nothing to date. We did our upgrade money back in 10 days and then we received the rest on April 24. Still no explanation of anything. I cannot believe there is no communication even when they are doing something good. It would sure relieve the anxiousness that comes with this process. Our cruise was on the 10th. We kept getting info for checkin etc on the 10th, so we were never sure that phone call actually worked. We that sail with X and RCL know their IT and systems are the worst. We also know that most all the time it works out ok. Just have faith.

  8. We had a cruise schedule on April 10. My wife had a sinus drip causing a cough. She tested and tested negative.I then two days later Tuesday the 5th had a some sinus blockage. I decided to test and tested positive. We then went to doctors office and both tested positive. Since we were cruising with our daughters family we decided to call and find out the policy. We thought about going and have our antigen test that was scheduled on Friday at CVS and then go on the cuise. So we called the Customer service person told us that we should go ahead and test on Friday and if you test negative go. She actually said she did the same think a few weeks before and it was ok. I told her about the 14 days and she said the most important thing is the negative result. Anyway, we decided to not lie and stay home. We applied for our money back and got some back in a week and the rest two weeks later. To say the policy is adhered to 14 days, I would say not a hard fast rule. The antigen testing negative is the real deal maker.

  9. We tested positive prior to going on the Harmony two weeks ago. Daughters family went without us. Sad. My wife and I both tested positive six days before cruise. Both of us are vaxed to the max and both wear masks. I do not go anywhere but we both contracted it. Fortunately we both had just a nasal drip and not sick. I tested for kicks and was positive. We then went to doctors and confirmed before cruise test.  what was interesting was we have many friends that had same symptoms but those that tested were negative. Summary it is very contagious and not sure very many know they even have it. They think it is just their allergies. The best can be said it is everyones choice what to do. Good luck. We will try again to sail in July on the Equinox.

  10. If we tested positive with an antigen test and could not cruise and we have another cruise on July 2 within the 90 days, should we get a certificate of recovery from our doctor before testing again with the antigen for the July 2 cruise. We are very nervous that we will test positive again since their accuracy with full boosted people and now have tested positive. Our doctor did both tests pcr and antigen when we were diagnosed because of the accuracy with full boosted people. Thanks in advance if you know anything. I have read numerous threads and X Q&As and an cannot find this situation.

  11. I have had this happen two out the last three cruises on Edge and Silhoutte. Both times I called CC and had the charges reversed. We vowed to have the minibar emptied each time we cruise on the first day. This past cruise we did not do it and we had a charge. From now on we will have it emptied. In both cases we left water and a can of Diet Coke from our own purchase on board. The hassle I do not like. Our next cruise on Equinox in July we will make sure we let an officer knows about what has happened. It needs to told to someone other than surveys which we have done and CC phone calls. Another thing with everyone on drink packages it really makes no sense to leave a bad taste in customer's mouth after a great cruise, but it is still happening. Someone should wake up at X.

  12. I have been on 4 cruises with OBC. I have been using in casino doing roulette. I tried buying Apple products but nothing is anything current. They are way behind and last I heard no word on when they will be getting anything in. Good luck.

  13. We just tested positive for covid this past Tuesday. We were to be on a cruise this Sunday. We cancelled Tuesday. We could have not at home tested and tested today and if we were negative we could have gone. I called Royal and had different interpretations of the policy. Just bringing this up because that is how you cruise and come home with Covid. On Tuesday, I just had what I though was sinus issue. My wife had a cold and sinus issue. Turned out with a take home test we tested positive. Many of our friends had some thing but were negative. Very confusing but covid is still here. We have all shots. We are very bummed about no going because our family was on board also.

  14. Today we had to cancel our cruise with Royal on the Harmony for this Sunday. We both tested positive yesterday at our 24 hr med center. I called Royal this morning. After 1hr and 45mins on the phone they took our word that this happened and will refund our money. This may change later. We also had bought drink packages and surf internet before cruise . They said we will get that back first within 10 days. We were promise our refund back to our credit cards in 45 days. Also, we had some credit from our X visa credit card that we had put to this cruise $250 in total. They said they would give this credit to our daughter's family room so they could enjoy. I thought this was great. We are really bummed that we cannot go on the cruise because we have not seen them since Christmas. They live in Md and we live in FL. I know they will enjoy without us.
