should add, most bartenders give u the count when over 10 or so.

My next 3 day is coming up and I usually spend around $400 in booze on these so this would held reduce that a bit. I have heard that if you keep track and get to 14 drinks, you can just buy them after that and then before you go to bed just get your 15th.
Too bad for me the cheers isn't offered on the Inspiration.
That is what some of the bartenders advised me to do because I can hit 15 by 8pm and still know my where abouts no matter what some people on this thread think. Wife doesn't do a bad job on the 15 either and she drinks martini's. Wife 74, me 75 and perfect health.

Cigar Dude, they were smoking stoogies in a small entertainment room just opposite of the piano bar. If your interested. Great ship and crew. Just left her Sat am. Not going to drink for aweek. May even call Dr Drew. Have fun.

Since you don't feel my post gave any assistance, what assistance did your post above give?
I feel if someone gives $5 a week or $5,000 a week, it is their decision and if they are alright with it, that is all that matters.
To the OP, I also have the starting point of $10 per day per person and will add or subtract depending on service.

We cruised on the Freedom in July and we didn't realize it was a "Wine and Martini Bar", we thought it was "The Martini Bar" because that was what signage said.
REGARDLESS, it was a FANTASTIC MARTINI BAR and Nuur (spelling??) made awesome martinis and was very entertaining. Always a pretty big crowd. Plus, it is located just beside the Piano Bar and Marty Gast is GREAT at the Piano Bar. I highly recommend the Spicy Chipotle Martini made with Bombay Sapphire Gin!!
Have fun!!
Got off last week & didn't see a dedicated wine bar. Trying to spell the Martini Bar. Something like Nouveu. Sure someone here can help us.

Hip hip hooray for adding Cheers to the Paradise we will be signing up
Us 2, sept 30th.
-
Guess by now most who are interested in Cheers know that it's been added effective immediately on the Carnival Fantasy, Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise per John Heald.
Wonder why not the Imagination? Anyone have a clue?

20+ cruises on both and after a few drinks wouldn't know which one I'm on. So to say very much the same.
-
Valancy, think platinum benefits don't start until after your 10th cruise. Maybe this was the misunderstanding. Was on the Victory 4/15/13.
-
Agree. we paid $52.95 plus 15% on the Constellation. So still a good deal.
-
I repeat, cheers was $49.95 plus 15% on the 5 day Victory April 15th. Maybe just on that cruise account of 4 & 5 day cruise. Doubt it will be on any more short cruise. Remember the Victory was a 7 day out of San Juan when pkg started.
-
Just off the 5 day Victory and cheers went from $42.95 to $49.95 plus the 15%. Nothing else added to the pkg and very strict with the 15 drink per day limit. Maxed out every day and wouldn,t allow you to even buy one.

We were on the Epic Feb 16 - 23. After listening to the shopping consultants we went ahead and bought Kabana earrings and diamond stud earrings at Diamonds International in St Thomas. We did our research ahead of time and got a pretty good deal.
So here is the problem.
After returning to the ship we discovered the two diamond earrings are not the same, I'm pretty sure the salesperson mixed them up and we didn't notice at the store. I called the store from the ship and there wasn't enough time to return to the store so the manager said to do an exchange in Nassau which was our next port. Unfortunately on this cruise Epic skipped Nassau.
So now I'm home in Canada and have been emailing and calling Diamonds International constantly for two weeks and have not received a single reply. They seem to be ignoring me completely.
So here are my questions.
Has anyone had experience with Diamonds International after sale support?
What exactly does "Guaranteed Shops" mean in the NCL literature?
I can and likely will dispute through my credit card provider but looking for some input first.
"Guaranteed Shops" means stay far away. Take up with someone at NCL. Go as far up the ladder as you can. They are the ones responsible for not stopping in Nassau.

Just off the 5 day Connie and asked to upgrade the 123 promo drink pkg at 2 diff bars. Both said had to go to guest services. Luckily the line was short.

Loving the review so far! I tend to agree with your description of the food but I'm O.K. with it-I don't have to cook it or clean up after it. Luckily we are all certified divers so that takes care of our excursions in every port and one reason we like this itinerary. Other than the diving, I've never been that impressed with the Caymans. It reminds me of Naples, Fl. Glad you liked your visit to Tampa/St. Pete. It is a lovely place to live :D
Comparing Naples, Fl to Grand Cayman,,,*** are u smoking?

Been in both V8 & V12 on several fantasy class ships. Great rooms. Have V40 booked for Paradise in Jan. Advised my pcp " no upgrades". One time unbeknowed to me, until we arrived at check in, they "upgraded" us to an OV on deck 4. Not an upgrade to me. Like the V rooms.

Can anyone get some "inside" info when Cheers goes fleetwide. Am sure their are cruisers on here with some pull at CCL. On the Paradise 1/12/13. Thanks Stormy

I love this program and wish it were on the Dream when I go in two weeks...
I also opening this thread to get new information hoping for additional ships get this program only to find people complaining and calling people that want the program alcoholics and saying getting their monies worth, etc. Mind your own business, its ok to post opinions, advice and such but to assume that one is an alcoholic or going to "ruin your vacation" because they buy this program just mind your own business it doesn't concern you. Nobody can tell anybody what to do.
Cocktails that we drink are $8.95 plus tip, so drinking 5 drinks would cost the same amount of money but the good thing with this program is that I get to pay for it in advance and not have that at the end of the cruise. I rather give Carnival my money upfront and finish the cruise with not that bill to worry about.
Thank you. Stormy

Maybe there should be cruises for drinkers and cruises for those that don't. Sorry to piss anyone off if I have 10 drinks all day.
-
If all those that don't think it's a good idea for me to have 10 drinks aday. Stay home or take another cruiseline.

For me, having kids wear nicer clothes during formal night is less about the experience of those around them but more as an opportunity to teach our children about what we expect from them. As a parent, we teach our kids by words and actions. I truly believe that it is worth the effort because it will help them later in life. When my kids were young, we didn't take them to nice restaurants because we knew they were not old enough, but now that they are of age, we enjoy taking them and teaching them manners and courtesy to others.
We are the only teachers our kids will have throughout their lives and I think we do them a dis-service if we don't take every opportunity to teach.
Off to work but there was my two cents.
Should be more parents like you. The world would be a better place.

"Twas a woman that led me to drink and I forgot to write and thank her". Hey Okie Girl, on the Freedom last week the bartenders told me to buy drinks b/4 15 and I did. First hand info.
