Suggest trying the “ We Know Group” (www.weknowlondon.com) who operate a taxi or shared ride program from Heathrow area hotels to LHR. £7 per person shared or £34 per vehicle private. We used a credit card and booked online at a terminal in the hotel. Cancel more than two hours prior to pick up for a complete refund. Got a confirmation e-mail which stated that another e-mail would be sent 30 minutes prior to pick up time. Another e-mail was sent when the driver was nearing the hotel including Uber-type information (Driver’s name, photo, make of vehicle, registration plate number etc.) A third e-mail was received when the vehicle actually arrived. It was £14 for two shared. The Hoppa woulda been £12. Very good service and worth a look.

Did a 7 day on the MSC Meraviglia outta Red Hook, Brooklyn. Our first MSC. Was impressed with the food and service. Gonna try MSC again early in the New Year…

Did a Celebrity Caribbean cruise over U.S. Thanksgiving pre pandemic. Ordered the requisite turkey meal but the Galley ran outta turkey. Seems the Aussie Executive Chef based quantities on a previous year’s cruise when many folks were ashore. Folks were not happy. There was almost a riot. Not sure whether that was a ‘career defining’ move for the Chef or not. We ended up having sushi. For the next three days, there was a turkey carving station in the buffet.

Just back from the Regal around the U.K. outta S’oton. Crown Grill and MDR very enjoyable. Have booked the Ruby for later this year. Listen to the Boss and enjoy the Sun…

When we sailed, credit card input wasn't accepted during the online check in process. We were told by an MSC rep that the company did not want credit cards held on file until after boarding. There are onboard terminals where credit card info can be input.

Yup! Agree with you re: QR code; however, if one has problems with the App, we were advised that the BP will be (perhaps the word is ‘should be’ or ‘may be’) available to print. As you suggest, it doesn’t seem to make any difference anyway. BTW, boarding in Southampton a few weeks ago, there was no Blue line; no Green line. Just two line…one for ‘Suites, Elite and Platinum’; the second was ‘All others’. Easy peasy. Cheers…

Similar predicament. We were advised by a Princess rep in the Philippines that boarding passes will be available to print about one week prior to embarkation. Time will tell…
