  1. me, again.. Spending 2 nights at Hampton Inn Brickell, pre-cruise. Just looking for any recs for moderately-priced restaurants (for dinner) close by (wife is partial to fish...sea bass, maybe) and any guide to shopping mall, or dept. stores nearby.. OH...and of course...where to pick up some "vino" nearby 😉 Thanks.

  3. we're on a 4-day cruise in April. Disembarking Monday April 10. Been a while, so just wondering.... - how is taxi situation re getting to Miami Airport? ok? other? advice/comments? (we're not Uber people) - flight's not til 2:30pm. How late can you stay onboard? any point? any suggestions for maybe killing an hour or 2 before going to airport...if we want to? Thanks.

  8. I see the policy is you can bring (up to) 2 bottles of wine onboard. Do they automatically charge you the $25 corkage fee if you do, OR only if you bring them into the dining room? (hic!)

  12. we're still trying to decide on a hotel for 2 nights pre-cruise in April. Rates are high! these 3 names seem to crop up often. Would appreciate comments from anyone who has stayed at either lately... OR if anyone has seen a great rate for either somewhere lately & could share... thanks!
  13. Are there any options for no-charge internet usage ( ie checking emails, airline check-in) on Celebrity, other than buying one of the internet packages? We're booked on Silhouette in April.
  14. 2 nights, pre-cruise, April. We are 2 (able-bodied) seniors, no car. Been quite a while since we've cruised out of Miami. We're considering these 3 hotels which seem to fall into the price range we'd like to pay... Eurostars Langford, or Double Tree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay or Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown-Port of Miami. Help us decide? Comments / advice appreciated.

  16. Looking at the 4-night trip out of Miami, April 6. Appears to be not many cabins left in the Oceanview category...few on Plaza Deck 3 - any pros or cons on that? How's the grub? we're not to hard to please...but do like cleanliness. We dont do the speciaty joints & usually book the anytime. any comments? Any other info you'd like to share re the ship / cruise would be much appreciated. thanks.
  17. Quick google on Hampton seems to come in at $450+ /night range...OUCH! Any thoughts on the Holiday Inn Port of Miami/downtown -340 Biscayne. its on some sites for $225/night range ...

  19. re HOTWIRE We need a hotel in Miami 2nights in April. Been a while since I used Hotwire ...or booked ANY hotel for that matter... Is Hotwire still reliable? Also there used to be a site that cud tell you which hotel you were looking at by matching the amenities shown on the HW site...anyone help with that??
