I read on another thread from a while back, they organized a flash mob on the Equinox which you could participate in. Anyone know whether this is still something on the activities schedule, or did this get eliminated?

Just FYI, the water there that early in the summer will be a bit cold for swimming.

Ha, we are from Michigan, where we routinely swim in Lake Michigan water temperatures between 62-65 degrees farenheit. I'm sure it won't be any colder than that. As long as the sun is out and the air is warm, we'll be fine!

I'll bet Celebrity hired the same firm to overhaul their website that designed the Affordable Healthcare Act website.

We booked our ship's excursion to Perivolos Beach while in Santorini, but it only allows us to stay at the beach for 3 hours.

How would we get there on our own, so that we could stay longer? Do we need to take the cable car first or can we catch a ferry once we get off the ship?

Booked the 3 Specialty Dining Package today, and it wanted me to choose the date/time of our first specialty dining reservation.

 

It only allowed me to choose one date (we are on a 13-day cruise; it only had the choice of one date) and the times I could choose were 6 am and 6:30 a.m.

 

I'm assuming this was a glitch in Celebrity's software?

Yes but the only choice of a reservation time was 6 or 6:30 AM not PM.

OK, so how would I go about getting a private driver?

Anything I have found is ridiculously priced for only two of us--they are in an 8-passenger van and meant to be shared between all the passengers. How do we find someone to drive us from Sorrento down the coast?

We are arriving in Salerno on June 5, 2014 and are in port from 7 am to 6 pm that day.

We definitely want to see Pompeii, experience the Amalfi Coast, and see possibly Positano and Ravello. Is this possible to do with public transportation? Or would we need to rent a car to make all this happen?

If we need to rent a car, can we do this right off the ship in Salerno?

Do not want to go on a guided tour, so need some guidance.

The ones that I purchased yesterday were very small and had little juice. A person posted on the RCI board that he was a supplier and it would be May before things started to return to normal.

We are going on Equinox on June 1. :)

Pretty sure I contracted the Norovirus after spending Sunday night in the ER with my hubby. I cannot imagine having to endure this on a moving ship!

Does anyone know if having it once already this season develops an immunity so I can't catch it again, in the off chance our ship is infected?

We want to take a Tuscan winery tour while in the port of Livorno.

Having difficulty finding others to share an excursion with, leaving directly from the port.

We have, however, found several winery tours we could join that leave from Florence. But we are wondering what is the fastest way to get from Livorno to Florence and back again?

If we are in port from 7 am to 7 pm, and the tour from Florence leaves at 9:30 a.m. and returns to Florence at 5:00 p.m., would we have time to get back to Livorno before 7 pm departure? Or is this pushing it?

It is a great itinerary, isn't it? I'm so excited!

But hubby and I are not into the excursions where they load you onto a bus and you visit 25 different places in a day. We would rather do it ourselves, and take our time to visit a couple of great places each port.

Good info about the port talks being on the TV.

We have already chosen Select Dining, as we do not like to be tied to a "must eat at a certain time" routine.

We tend to eat later, much as the Europeans do.

How late can you be seated in the MDR?

There is so much I want to do and see--that's what I was wondering about how you fit it all in?? I am glad to hear that on days when you leave port later, they have very late shows.

Sigh . . I know. . . I must make choices.

We are going on the June 1 Classic Mediterranean. I'm not worried about going hungry, mainly worried about missing the port talks, but if they are on seas days, that solves that problem! Thanks.
