  1. The Spirit does by far my favourite and the Pride is number 1 in my book. I love the layout, passenger versus crew and staff ratio and outside open walk around deck ( all Spirit class pluses).
  2. Hello All I have read that the value of the first drink is $16 plus gratuity. What type of mixed drinks can you get for that price? I figure ill try something different that my usual beer. Suggestions would be appreciated Thanks so much Gari
  3. The staff and crew. Love the fact they really seem to care about their customers and are extremely friendly and helpful. Took my first cruise in 2001 and many of them solo had. I have to say I've met lots of wonderful passengers as well

  7. Hi All I am hoping to sail to Bermuda this Fall. the ship overnighting for two days Wondering what the rules are regarding getting on and off? Can you go as you please or only during specific hours? Also I understand prices are very high there. What are the taxes like for drinks etc you might buy on the ship While docked. Finally can you carry beer, wine and soda that you buy back on board to enjoy on the voyage? If anyone knows the answers to these question or have helpful tips I'd appreciate your help

  10. I use a Carnival PVP and when I was in a similar situation (for me it was my first B2B and it was the second leg that I would move from platinum to diamond). He told me he would connect the bookings and I should be diamond on the first leg. Fortunately I was but I did meet up with a friends that used a private vacation planner and she wasn't advanced to diamond until her actual cruise which was the second leg of her b2b Good luck and have fun
  11. Good luck folks m following your experiences as I'm headed out in a couple of weeks
  12. I be done three f journey cruises and several b2b. I love them both and agree with much of the pros and cons listed with one major exception. I find the turn around day on b2b to be a pro. Its the only time you nearly have the whole ship to yourself. There is usually about 45 minutes that the ship is at "zero count" ( meaning everyone that needs to be off from the first sailing). The crew is busy getting things ready for that he first passengers to arrive and it is super pleasant. Th recommend both
  13. I'm thinking trying NCL as I've heard about the solo traveler deals and discounts. I just retired and wanting to get the best value for my dollar. Most of my previous cruise experiences have been on Carnival. I'd love to get your thoughts and advice Thanks so much for the tips and suggestions
