I see JR’s is a different style on NOS, than what I am used to. Is it included in the UDP?

On a related note, you can also just order apps, and have some come when the other main courses come out 🙂. Since they haven’t switched up their menu in a while, and I don’t have a huge appetite, I often will just get my favorite apps, and spread them out over the entire meal 🙂. I’m sure that if they refresh their menu, I’ll go back to trying the entrees 🙂. That reminds me- I really need to start asking if I can try the Indian food that isn’t on the menu- I’ve heard it’s very good!!!

Feb 2023, we are taking a RCI cruise out of “LA”. We want to fly to LA, and spend 2 nights in Santa Monica beforehand. A few questions…
Most efficient way from LA to Santa Monica, and rough cost?
Nice hotel in Santa Monica, near hop on, hop off bus location, near cool stuff for like no more than $350 per night?
Most efficient way from hotel to port, and rough cost?
thx!

Thanks guys!

I finally convinced DH to add a second cruise behind our Navigator cruise next Feb (and, we got the same room! Yay!). Will the cruiseline know we are doing a B2B, or do I have to call to link them or something?

Does anyone know typically when onboard credit posts on the cruise planner from redeeming Visa points? We want to use the credit for the drink package before we sail. Thanks!
Timing has varied for me, but you can call this number, and get the OBC applied quicker: (888) 305-4626.

When is the cruise? ..if its before Sept 30 then you are covered under CWC and cancel for any reason is pretty much useless as your covered by Royal.
Royal insurance does cover medical but very limited. 25K medical and 50k eveac
But your medical elsewhere
Not till 2023 🙂. Thanks a for the advice! Once we confirm I’d we want to B2B or not, I’ll pick up regulate travel/medical insurance elsewhere.

No that won’t work. Cancel for any reason insurance has to be bought within a specific number of days from the date you FIRST booked ANY part of a trip.
Bummer. I had a feeling that was the
case.

Ack! Realized typo in title, and don’t know how to fix 😞

So, last year I booked a 7 day cruise, and stupidly forgot to buy cancel for any reason insurance right away. I am “this close” to convincing DH that we need to add a 4 day after, making it a B2B. Can I get cancel for any reason (with the full medical, etc) insurance for the full trip, if I contact right away after booking the 4 day? And, which place do you think would do this?
also- does Royal insurance cover the medical stuff?
thx!

We just got upgraded to a Crown Loft Suite for our cruise on Sunday. How soon will someone contact us about the Coastal Kitchen? I saw another passenger mention that someone contacted them about menu preferences. Thanks!
We were in gs, and never got asked about coastal kitchen preferences. Though- we ate there every morning and loved it!

Okay, my whole life I've been an "early bird"...waking up at the crack of dawn. Problem is once the sun goes down in the evening I fade quickly. I want to be able to stay awake in the evenings without being a "party pooper". Any recommendations on cocktails/drinks that will give me a little boost as the night goes on??
Vodka Red Bull 🙂

We will be on Odyssey on Saturday. If we have to wear a mask, so be it. We just want to be on that ship.
Have fun! It’s a great ship, even with masking 🙂.

While I will forever wear a mask on airplanes, and for the near future wear one indoors in public places, it will be nice to cruise without one 🙂

We sometimes tip the waiters extra (like the last time we did MDR instead of the UDP, and my friend’s fiancé was awful to them, so we’d give $10 each night), but always tip drink guy (when they have them) $5 first night in addition to $1-$2 a drink.

We found “mask lanyards” on Amazon, for like $8 for 5. They made masking, so masking so easy 🙂. I highly recommend them!

We will be experiencing Wonderland for the first time in April. I am trying to understand how you order from the menu. It reminds me of a tasting menu. Can you order an item from each catergory (sun, Ice, fire, earth and sea)?
The first times we went, we let the waiter pick for us, and we got a variety of items from a variety of categories. The last couple times, we told them what we wanted. A few items from some categories, one entree each, and we split our favorite dessert (the world). The waiter really wanted to give us a second dessert but we declined since we were so full 🙂

As someone with insomnia ... I'm self medicated. Those who dont have insomnia never get it imo. Though as this thread shows ... let no good deed go unpunished and not criticized.
Have you tried CBD? It is magic for my particular issue…. Without it, I can’t sleep past 3:30/4:30am no matter what time I go to bed. With it, I’ve been getting up 5:30-6:45am 🙂

Chances are, if you have the drink package, you will never see a receipt to add a tip to
On odyssey, I always had to ask for the receipt, so that I could add a tip….

On odyssey last week- yes, the chairhogs are back 🙂

If you get a chance… could you let me know if the suite lounge gives out free bottles of water throughout the day? Odyssey had a little fridge with free water and soda 🙂

I thought the free versions of iFly and northstar were a good length (I heard the free versions are a little shorter). We had a concierge, so we just emailed him our preferred times before the cruise.
