Normally, DH and I book a year or two out. My mom and I want to do a cruise the first week in December, but can’t book till Sept. what are the chances we can find an unobstructed balcony view that far out?

How do you complete e-muster without the app?
So glad you posted this! I plan on cruising in December with my mom who has a flip phone, but also an iPad. I’ll have her load it on there, to make muster easier 🙂

Mine was there, but then disappeared the day before boarding navigator in Feb. They weren’t going to let us board in the suite line. I dug up my email from the suite concierge, and she finally let us board. My advice- bring a printed copy of your invoice, and welcome letter from the concierge when you board.

I was once called a chair hog here on CC because I posted once I plant my butt in the lounger I stay in it for as long as I want. No time limit. That person thought after 1 to 2 hours max I should leave and let someone else use the lounger. 🤣
Ack! I guess I am a chair hog too! 😉

The solarium was nice and peaceful 🙂

Even on dress your best night, there are people in jeans or shorts.

My husband and I usually purchase a 1 device package, and share it. We are ok with not being online at the same time.

I did a bit more research, and it seems like this year, the ships would be Ovation and Quantum. They would be wanting a balcony room or suite.

My friend is thinking of taking her mom on a cruise out of Seattle. Her mom needs a wheelchair.
1- can they bring their own chair?
2- which ship do you recommend that is most wheelchair accessible
3- so you recommend an electric chair? Or is the push one ok?

Thanks all!!

We are overly cautious… if we are booking a flight home out of Orlando, after a port Canaveral cruise, what is the earliest flight home we should consider?

Looking for a great all inclusive in Nassau… we want- nice view, loungers, a shady umbrella for the hubby, booze and food included.

Ok, so it sounds like if I want the 2025-2026 one, I should have my ducks in a row right away when they are released, so that I can book a room without delay. Thanks!!

When do they normally release the new Panama Canal cruises? Once released, I want to scope out suite costs for the next ones 🙂
Since Icon is so dang spendy, I am contemplating doing a bucket list cruise in 2026, instead of doing another cool amusement park on water…

There are many things worth questioning about Life at Sea and Miray. Turkish language websites (given their target audience and staff in their 3 years of existence in cruising) isn't one of them. This isn't a 7-day Aegean sailing marketed primarily to Turkish residents. Their sales agents for Life at Sea are Philippines-based, compared with Turkish agents for Miray in the past. FWIW.
Sadly, my power of google failed me a few days ago, when I tried to find out more about the company. Thanks for posting the details about them! Also, and my following question comes from a place of real curiosity (and not snark)- where did you find that much detailed info about them? -

Yep… the site being in Turkish made me skeptical…
I guess I should have been more clear…. My post came form the place of- I had just heard all of these news outlets talking about this cruise, and at that point (way in the olden days of 2 days ago), I could find very little facts in English about this company. Now I see they have a cute website in English explaining the details and costing, and I had many of the same concerns as worldcruiseforme

The website must have been acting up for you because there are at least four of the 1 bdrm GS available on every sailing in February 2025
Low is just over 13k to a high of 13.7k
When I tried again, it worked. Thanks!! If prices don’t go down, looks like we’ll be in a balcony 😉

Ok, thanks! I will check again 🙂

We really want to do icon in Feb 2026, and have a rough idea if we can afford a 1BRGS.
I tried to do a mock booking for Feb 2025, and all 1BRGS were booked up, so I couldn’t do a mock booking.
Would anyone here feel comfortable sharing what they paid for 2 adults, in an Icon 1BRGS in Feb 2025?
Thanks!

It's me who posted about this and Royal telling me it's a new change....which I honestly don't believe. Your situation is exactly what I explained to them. I have been on enough sailings to know that they look at your set sail pass to see if it says suite or not. I find it very hard to believe that they are changing that to the more time consuming option of having someone actually scan your set sail pass to see. I expect that anyone without suite on their set sail pass is going to have the same experience as you. And my set sail pass used to also say suite as well as prime and that has all dropped off my set sail pass in the app now....I think it's a IT issue that has occurred after the recent Royal app update....not that it's a change.
It was SO annoying!!! At least I know to be prepared next time. And, I am POSITIVE that that my app showed suite on it the day before, and it was a different color. I remember being surprised when I opened the app on boarding day, and it looked different.

Someone else posted about this too and was told it is a new change. They will scan your pass at the port and let you in the correct line.
Sadly, at San Pedro, they scanned nothing. I had to show them our invoice and concierge welcome email

So… we departed out of San Pedro. Initially, our set sail pass said suite,
but then it changed. People at the port were not going to let us board at the suite line…. They didn’t change their mind until I produced invoice and welcome email from suite concierge.

It's a Turkish cruise operator so I don't know how reliable it is.
Miray Cruises | Ship Management & Floating Hotel Accommadations (mirayint.com)
Web site, once you get past home page, is in Turkish (I guess). I don't think English will be spoken much on the cruise.
