Think of it this way, cruise lines sell these premier packages (with benefits) in order to maintain their profit margin while keeping the base fare competitive - sound strategy for shareholders and customers.

As with everything in life, there are best and worst case scenarios, choose what you want and take your own risks...especially in this case, one's action of having a passport or not won't affect anyone other than oneself.

Great information. It works for us perfectly as our port time is 8a-6p in Nov. Thank you!!!

Thank you for the sound advice. All noted. Worst case scenario if it is not favorable to go, I'll have pizza in Naples!!

Hello, could anyone post the link (English) to check the ferry schedule from Naples Port to Capri? For a port visit in 3rd week of Nov, is Capri still worth going? Port time is 7a-7p. Crossing not too choppy? Is prebooking the ferry advisable? Thanks in advance for your time!!

That's good to know - entree sized salads. Didn't know it can be ordered that way. Thx!

Monterey to stop providing port services to cruise ships
ebeluga replied to a topic in Princess Cruises
Not a Monterey resident. Given that the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary's presence, potential of ship spill and introducing other species to the bay, I would think it is a legitimate concern. -
No more discount on internet for Platinum and Elite?

If it weren't for these persistent folks, how would Princess know to fix their problems? To these folks, I say thank you! -
I encountered the same message. And the prepaid wifi on two of my future cruises are not showing up! I wonder how I would prove my purchase other than my credit card statement.

Yes, I agreed that the air cancellation timing is peculiar, 1 day after final payment! Sometimes the airline cancels or change schedule and EZ Air is behind on relaying the notification.

Yes chiefly because the community transmission is on the upswing with the new variants so there is higher probability that pax will bring it on board to the ship then with a close environment, it is easier to spread like a wild fire.

Over 800 people have COVID on the Majestic Princess
ebeluga replied to PescadoAmarillo's topic in Princess Cruises
I can tell you that when Princess dropped the mask requirement for the crew on my 10/15/2022 full or close to full capacity cruise without telling them to keep some physical distancing, I was extremely concerned when the wait staff was so close physically that his breath was on me while taking my dinner orders. I went to buffet from then on. Fortunately, I remained covid-free from the cruise but I won't be going on Princess for awhile. -
On our Coastal cruise 2 weeks ago, it was 7:30 am.

Yes I was in S210 a week ago and experienced some noise in the early morning hours. Think the noise was from the lounge chairs...

I had the 4-device plan as well. After the first night, even at 1am was unusable, I went to the internet cafe and asked for refund the next morning. On the account statement, it says goodwill credit, should be refundable (did not indicate otherwise) as my shareholder benefit is stated as non-refundable.

Big news! All protocols have been lifted for most voyages
ebeluga replied to cruisecrazy82's topic in Princess Cruises
On my last day of the 7-day cruise, used up all the FCC that was going to expire by end of 2022. I can do my best to avoid crowds and indoors but I can't think of a way to not engage the crew without impacting the service I am receiving. They are mask-optional but I am not sure if they are still being tested on a weekly basis. This is the first time I have not purchased any Future Cruise Deposit. Hope you all enjoy your future cruises, stay safe and keep the stock prices up. -

Crew is mostly unmasked on Discovery effective 10/15/2022, recommended but not required indoor. Human nature, when they sneeze, they sneeze into their hands, just witnessed it the other day w/o masks. You know how that goes. -
Semi-Live - Discovery - CA Coastal - Oct 1, 2022
ebeluga replied to cruzin4us's topic in Princess Cruises
We were on Discovery doing the same Coastal cruise in April. The internet was good then with 40-50% pax load, so I think the issue is that the designed system capacity is inadequate and it failed miserably under a stress load. Terrible if someone depends on it for work email, let alone doing any zoom meeting!! -

Even at this wee hour 1:10 am, internet is painfully slow on the Discovery!!
