It averaged out around £20 with tip for a similar lunch.

Do we really know what a similar lunch is - I can easily find a nice lunch with a beer in Copenhagen at £ 15 - Norway might be a bit more expensive.

It cost me $60 for a light lunch with a beer

When you compare prices in Denmark and Norway versus US remember that gratitude/ service as well as VAT always is included in prices - no need for tipping at restaurants. I have many examples were a light lunch and beer was more than $60 is US once VAT and tips were added.

Last time in Stockholm I had to pay cash

I have been travelling a lot to Stockholm - never had a problem with Credit Card - you can ask before you enter the taxi, and take the next in line if not accepting CC - normally they have a label with accepted cc next to the mandatory label with prices.  Note that Taxi prices are not regulated in Sweden and can vary a lot.  I'm only using Taxi Stockholm (preferred - using their App), Sverige taxi (Yellow cabs) or Taxi Kurir. Might be other 'reliable' companies but this is the  taxi companies where I have never experienced problems.

cabs for example do not always offer the possibility of creditcard payment

You should be able to pay taxi by Credit Card in Denmark, Norway in Sweden.

In Denmark and Norway however you cannot use credit card in public busses. If you plan to use public transportation App are available.

  5. For Denmark, Norway and Sweden do not get local currency - all 'Kroner' (Crowns) in different values - can be confusing.

In tourist locations you might get away using US$ or € - but very poor exchange rate. Most can be paid by credit card as said by MAVIP - highly recommended to have a chip and pin card.

And you do not need to pay gratitudes in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden - all services and VAT included in all prices.

Ill ask over there in the msc board - prices for the balcony aurea experience -

    msc website - £6400

    uk agent - £5600

    us agent - £4411

Are you sure that you are buying the ‘same product’ ?

I have often bought cruises at both European and US sites - both direct and from TA - in general gratitude and some times tax and fees are not included when booking in US while always included at European sites. Check primarily if gratitude is included in US offer.

  7. Don’t worry - tickets will not sell out - 90 days before will be fine.

    very scenery train ride.

Oslo Central Station is located almost in the center of the city  - walkable. Many hotels close by. Also a direct train service to the airport from Central Station. Very convenient.

  8. Credit cards are widely accepted in both Denmark and Norway. You might need cash for public busses, but almost anywhere else you can pay by CC - I’ll just done 10 days round trip in Norway - did not use cash at all. Highly recommend to have a CC with chip and pin.

Also notice that tipping is not necessary at all - all prices does include VAT as well as a service charge for restaurant and other services.

open at 10:00 and do not open early on cruise days.

Unfortunately you’ll find that most shops as well as sights do not open before 10. Time for a nice breakfast - either at the ship or at a Cafe and maybe also time to walk to Den Gamle By. Enjoy your day in “Aarhus, Danish for progress” or “Smilets By” in Danish.
