Personnaly I would choose more time in Oslo rather than in Trondheim, but that is very much down to personal preferences.
Spend the time in Trondheim at the northbound journey and take an early train to Oslo. Train is 6h45m - departure 08:18, cost NOK 409 pp - tickets can be purchased 90 days in advance at nsb.no.

will enquire about excursions to the above email address.
Maybe they know the reason - no ship excursions that day. You might want to check back again - tickets might suddenly be available.

Try to contact office@molde-romsdalhavn.no and ask for possible excursions - also try if you can book at https://shop.scandinavianrail.com/#/ptp/point___to_point_tickets/
make sure to use correct spelling: Åndalsnes and Dombås

We had hoped to experience the Rauma railway when we visited Andalsnes in June, however, the nsb website shows the morning journey to be unavailable to book
Which date - the only day I found 09:30 am sold out is June 18 - however I couldn't see any cruise ships in port that day.
Are you planning a round trip from Åndalsnes to Dombås?

Are Ubers available or would we need to do a cab if we didn't want to walk (or if the weather isn't good)
Uber is Not available - taxi og bus (Midttraffik) - you can also find information on Rejseplanen.
You can buy a single ticket with cash in the bus, in Midttrafik app or as a print out ticket

No light rail to Moesgaard - only bus service.

Arrivals at Aqaba, either through the port, the airport or land except for south wadi araba crossing boarder are granted a free visa to Jordan. There is no obligation associated with this visa, provided that they leave the country from the same border and within 1 month of arrival, and that they do not need to renew their visa.
Certain nationalities require an entry visa to be obtained prior to travel.

it looks like a good bet regardless;
What is date and name - several MSC ships during July - but as I see it only MSC Poesia July 9 does tender
-
Only MSC Poesia July 9 does tender - 9 am should be fine for a tour start - tour does start very close to tender pier.
Regarding MSC tender procedures you might ask that question at the MSC board.

I am looking for reviews of this service
Not quite sure what 'service' you're looking for. Regional train or Metro and to which station?
Taking the train is easy and safe.
I'm normally taking the train from CPH airport to my home - CPH station located in terminal 3 arrival. Just take escalator or lift from arrival level one level down to train or up to Metro. Need to purchase tickets before going down to the platform - accept credit card (pin).
How easy it is at the 'hotel station' depend on which hotel/station. Trains every 20 minutes.

We are keen to do the hike to Kirkeporten but would like to know if it is easy to find the start and is the trail marked? Somewhere near Skarsvag
The path is starting at Kirkeporten Camping / Nordkapp Turisthotell located ar the left side of the road just before entering Skarsvåg.

Hurtigruten must have taken a hit financially also. Not only did they not sail that day but the freight and goods that the ships deliver to the ports were delayed. The passengers had to be accommodated, but they made the correct decision to remain where they were.
Hurtigruten certainly took a hit financial.

really want to do the train, but it seems to me that I should be able to do both (I hope)
I would definitely do both tours myself - might be your only visit to Flåm?. No problem taking the 14.50 train.
M/V Aegean Odyssey only ship in port that day.

Look at pictures of the Martha’s Vineyard Ferries that the Steam Ship Authority has and look at Hurtigruten’s ships.
Very interesting discussion Elka - but I strongly believe you're wrong and GeezerCouple right.
You cannot compare the ' Steam Ship Authority ' and 'Hurtigruten' vessels - correct that they both are considered ferries, but the Martha’s Vineyard Ferries are constructed as a ferry where cars are loaded at the front/end of the ship while the Hurtigruten vessels are constructed to sail in rough seas along the Norwegian West coast including Hustadvika.
The major differences are that cars/goods at Hurtigruten vessels are loaded into the side of the ships and all Hurtigruten vessels are equipped with stabilisers (except MS Vesterålen and MS Lofoten).
Look at the picture below where I have marked the ports for loading cars - the overall construction of the two type of ships are very, very different.

do you think that is enough time for me to also get off the ship?
The answer might very well depend on cruise line and how they tender ship excursions versus individual guests. But with a 7am arrival you should be ashore in time for a 9:45 train departure.
- anyway, my preference is a noon train departure - weather en route might be more pleasant. But might depend on your plans for the rest of the day.
-
Or you can check at the link below if 2o19 arrival - KAI is docked and ANKER is tendered

I have just been flying SQ and did pay for extra legroom (emergency exit) Paid SGD 120 from CPH to SIN (12 hours flight) and SGD 80 from SIN to DPS (2.5 hours flight).
No problem with recline of my seats - normally it’s the seat before the exit having problem with recline and not the actipual Exit row (except two exit rows) - there might not be window at the exit row - have a look at SeatGuru.

Not sure when the next cruise was going to be...but ours was the last Northern Lights trip for the year. It started in January and ended with the 3/14 sailing. Went back and forth between Bergen and Tilbury.
A total of six Viking Searching the Northern Lights cruises scheduled between January 10 and March 10, 2020. Hope they have ‘learned the lessons’

So WHY did Viking Sky (which I was on) decide it was ok to sail in such a dangerous area under such conditions? Couldn't the Sky have also temporarily put in to Trondheim? It seems much of what ensued could have been easily avoided.
Good question- you might want to ask Viking directly - Viking Sky should have sailed either to Trondheim or Molde rather than doing the Hustadvika crossing.
Someone might want to stay at the scheduled sailing rather delaying the following cruise?

I did a 7 day from Bergen to Kirkenes in January - I have never done the 12 day return - alway felt it was to much of the same. Then I combine the cruise with some additional days in Bergen and Kitprkenes - also consider some days in Oslo. However many people does like the 12 days - I have made a full review of my 7 days Link to my review

My suggestion for Dress for the cold - I did travel in my Loewe hiking boots and used them for most of the trip except in cabin and evenings.
On 3/22/2019 at 11:55 PM, Shoe King said:Are there any particular ships with the best suits, ideally with big windows or balconies?
Look at the bigger ships. A suite or mini suite is nice - primarily if you are going for a 12 night cruise
On 3/22/2019 at 11:55 PM, Shoe King said:Also what excursions would you recommend along with duration of the cruise to make the most of our time.
I did the dog sledding in Tromø and North Cape from Honningsvåg - In Kirkenes King Crab and Snowmobile as well as the snow hotel.
Harpy planning - Will be a great experience.

Vietnam Visa
in Asia
I have just been visiting Vietnam - four ports with Voyager of the Seas. RCCL did arrange for ‘transit Visa’.
All passengers got a Vietnam landing card - Vietnam officials were stamping the landing card onboard before we were going ashore at the first port.
Guest requiring a Vietnam Visa was charged US$6 for the ‘transit visa’ valid for all four ports. Guests who wanted to stay in Vietnam over night was charged $28.
Guest from countries exempted a Vietnam Visa was not charged.
List of countries exempted a Vietnam visa:
Visa-free for 30 days: Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore
Visa-free for 21 days: Philippines
Visa-free for 15 days: Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Russian, Sweden, Norway, Finland, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain
Visa-free for 14 days: Brunei, Myanmar

Unfortunately the captain at Viking Sky didn't listen carefully enough to the weather forecast.
