Received a great pick me up on a day I'm not feeling well, package from Marie

 

I wasn't sure about the color but Larry wanted me to get it. I have to say he has good taste because I love the dress and color on me! I'm going to have to hem it, it's a tad long even with heels. I think it will be great for our Feb cruise.

Hi, just found out from my neighbor that there were two guys who stealing packages from our neighborhoods...kids and they were finally caught on tape. Hopefully my package will be amomg those found.

Thank you so much for caring and asking about me. Was feeling sorta hurt because no one had written to me or asked about me.

Surgery went relatively ok. It was 12 hours. At one point I stopped breathing and they had to breathe for me. Other than that it was successful, but the recovery time is soooo slow and painful. Don't want to be kicked off the site because someone asked about my health so I will continue this in the Floataway Lounge under Recyclers

Kathy, you are so special. I'm sure your SIL felt the love from you all. It takes a special person...like yourself...to continue to make her feel like family. That is rare indeed. My first husband has a family like you. When we divorced, they continued to treat me like family and I am still extremely close to them...even with my new husband! You love them for many years and why should it stop because that person is no longer in your life? But like I mentioned earlier, it takes special people to continue loving.

I'm glad you all had a nice time and it's nice that she wants to do it again. Take care and know that you are sooo special!

So here I am, elegant night one, wearing a dress I got from Lisa and earrings I got from Sheri. Got several compliments on both. :)

Just got home from our cruise an hour or so ago. Reading through posts and trying to catch up. Laundry will have to wait! So glad to see your news, Sheri. God is good ... all the time.

Hope to hear equally great news from Marie ... haven't gotten wedding pictures back yet but her/my shoes are well represented in those photos and I'll post one asap!

I think that most of the women here are smaller sizes. I posted a size 16 dress, and no one was interested. Or could be...they didn't like it.

There is no spread of the breast cancer. It is contained. Thank God!

To all you wonderful women...thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your kind words and your prayers. You will never know how much they mean to me.

I'm going in today to have a sentinel lymph node biopsy to determine if there is spread, but my oncologist is very confident there is no concern in that area, as the type of breast cancer that was diagnosed is stage 0. If there is no lymph node involvement we will go to the next stage of meeting with the plastic surgeon and setting up a date where I will undergo a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.

As some of you know I had breast cancer 9 years ago, thought I was safe, and this came to rear it's ugly head at me. It's not...at this time considered a recurrence because it is now in the other breast...now considered a new primary cancer. Whatever...I'm going to fight like a girl and beat it again!

I went through this alone the first time, but now I have a wonderful husband who is supportive and supports the decision I have made. He makes it more bearable to deal with this battle. And now I have the support of you beautiful women here :)

Sorry for being so verbose, I'm just in awe at the well wishes and prayers of you ladies. And, you ladies wearing 'pink' is so cute.

I am humbled by your cancer battle. You are the epitome of a strong woman and I admire your strength and the determination you had to fight it. It speaks volumes about what kind of person you are! Then you exhibit such kindness and generosity to women you have never met. You are truly remarkable and an example that others would want to imitate.

Thanks you M for your thoughts and prayers and know that I will be thinking of you and praying that you will have a favorable outcome with your surgery today. We are both scheduled to go in at the same time today.
