  1. Probably a musical play My daughter who teaches HS in LI takes a class every year to see a Broadway Musical .The past three years it has been Hamilton.She went to HS with one of the stars from the original production.
  2. A singer who has not been mentioned at all lives in my part of New York. She is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. For many years she has been appearing in concert in a town park .There has never been a charge to see her and she mingles with everyone afterward. Her name is Joan Jett.
  3. White Rabbit and Volunteers are my favorite songs of theirs.In those days I had a beard like the guys in ZZTop and even longer hair.
  4. Stairway to Heaven is my all time favorite song .A close second is Kashmir. Another one of my favorite bands is Renaissance.
  5. I watched a documentary on Netflix a few nights ago.The music was by Midnight Oil. If DaveKathy was posting on this thread today he would say that surprisingly nobody has mentioned one of my all time favorite bands:Mountain. I like Deep Purple.I bought my first CD of the band in 2005
  6. Thank you ,Graham . Mike knew more people and had more friends than anyone I have ever known.He had a lot of friends in show business and in the sports world
  7. Jefferson Airplane is my all time favorite .I love Santana .There is a band where I live that has been around since 1977 ,Turnpike Joe and the Traffic Jam .I have been to about 30 of their concerts.
  8. Barbra and I lived around the corner from each other when we were infants. We both became child singers but only one of us had a career as a singer.
  9. My cousin Donald was a musician playing with Blood Sweat and Tears before the band was actually formed. He though that the name of the band was ridiculous and he left them and formed his own band .Their biggest gig was at a club in Bermuda.Donald left music and went into commercial real estate. My late friend Mike knew more singer/musicians than anyone I ever knew.
  10. When the original production of Beatlemania appeared on Broadway the singer/actor Mitch Weissman was cast as Paul McCartney.Mitch has been said to be the definitive Paul McCartney singer. I was working at the time with Mitch’ father.He gave ne two Orchestra tickets,front row to see the show.My wife could not go and I took a cousin of hers and we saw a great show.
  11. I was at a party in 1964 and inadvertently had an LSD trip .I was told that I tried to leave the party through an 8th.floor window,I have no recollection of that but when I woke up I was on a pile of garbage on a NYC subway station
  12. My younger daughter who lived in the UK in the late 90’s met Mick Jagger at a club one night and asked if she could get a picture with him.I don’t know how many were taken but when she came back to NY she had 12 pictures.

You and I may have been at some of the same shows at the Fillmore .I was a little older when the Fillmore opened.I was married and went after work to the shows One night I went to see The Byrds. A guy working for the band was taking pictures of the people who came to see the show.Years later somebody that I knew was watching a video of the concert and I was in the crowd picture,possibly you too if you were there.
  14. I have a friend named David who is the biggest DeadHead on the planet.His wife who grew up in Utah knew nothing about the Dead when she met David in 1981 .Now she is a huge fan.
