  1. On December 31,1962 there was no charge to stand to watch the ball drop.My then girlfriend and I went to a movie at Radio City Music Hall and then walked to Times Square.We waited a relatively short time .I guess things have changed.
  2. Very true.In 2014 we went to Boston for a weekend with two other couples.My friend Tony a huge Yankees fan wore Yankee player jerseys,a jacket and a hat.Nobody had a problem.
  3. Seriously,I think that every person should have that experience at least once in their life.I saw 1963 come in ,it was great.
  4. The actress Ellen Holly passed away yesterday.In the summer of 1966 Toby and I went to see a Shakespeare in the park production starring Ellen Holly and a young actor named James Earl Jones.

Toby makes them from โ€œscratchโ€.She made several dozen last night and will make more during the week.We had 6 family members for dinner tonight and will have 6 tomorrow night.I think I already posted that on December 24 we are celebrating with about 40 people .Although the holiday will be over there are many kids who are in college and not coming home till Dec.21.
  6. I just watched a very good movie that makes one think no matter what their political persuasion is.Leave The World Behind .Very good acting.
  7. We have been dog sitting since Wednesday because one of my daughters is having work done in her house.We will be zooming our synagogue service tonight.
  8. Toby made hers last night .We are celebrating the holiday but at the same time thinking about you and our friends and family in Israel.
  9. Re the discussion of the great show Twin Peaks.Another show that I thought was great is Seinfeld.Many of the scenes were filmed in Tomโ€™s restaurant in Brooklyn.Tomโ€™s father Perry,had a restaurant in Brooklyn called Perryโ€™s that served great food .
  10. I remember sitting at the lunch counter eating the waffle ice cream sandwich.The summer after graduating HS I worked in Korvettes for the salary of $50.00 a week.
  11. I was a huge Twin Peaks fan.I have an ID card identifying myself as a resident of Twin Peaks,every issue of the Twin Peaks Gazette and a book about the show.I also have a cassette by Julee Cruise who recorded the songs sung during the show.
  12. When I was young every kid regardless of religion went to A&S in downtown Brooklyn to see Santa Claus .We all came home with a 5x7 picture of us with Santa Claus. When my kids were young we took them every year to see Santa Claus at an area in Brooklyn where people came from all over the tri state area and still do.
