In my college days nobody had long hair .A few had goatees and Van dykes.I had a mustache.

My family knows a woman who was on one of the planes that land in Newfoundland.She was flying home to NY from the UK.

In my entire life I never had a fight with another person ,physical or verbal.I could not believe those people who I never saw previously were so angry at my beard and hair style that they wanted to attack me.

In the years that I worked every job but one required that men wear suits .You could not remove your jacket at any time .Employees were only allowed to drink coffee on breaks unless you were part of Management and had an office.

The only time we would go to the WJ was for a snack in afternoons on sea days.

I was living in an area of NYC where crime was increasing to the rate of where everyone I knew was moving away. The town I live in now is virtually crime free.We do not have a police force here .In the 21 years I have been living here there has only been one crime of violence.

I never ate meals in the WJ

In 2011 I was posting a lot to a guy on CC.During the course of back and forth posting he mentioned that a restaurant in Mystic CT.has the best seafood he had ever eaten.I was interested in hearing more about the restaurant so we exchanged e-mails .I live 5 hours from Mystic and I would have to convince my wife who is the family driver to make the trip. Somehow I did and we had a great meal and a wonderful conversation .The guy and his wife mentioned their favorite cousine and I replied there is a great ……restaurant close to where I live .He and his wife made their 5 hour trip.

I cannot recall ever having Indian food (which I love) on a cruise.

A combination .I have had a great life but in Feb.2003 I left New York City where I had been living all my life to move to a relatively small town in NY and became sick in October 2003 and it has been getting worse every year.

Prior to becoming President of the baseball team you root for he was a lawyer with a prominent NYC firm.His firm represented the company that I worked for and over the years we had many casual conversations including the wearing of beards .I laughed to myself when he became President of a sports team that does not allow players and employees to wear beards.

My children bought my wife and I new phones when we were 75 ish.

My friend was in many productions .When not acting in theater he acted in Law and Order .

I am not writing this for sympathy but just to explain my post.I am totally disabled and in bed 21 hours a day.

I wrote a play that opened in a theater on Third Avenue .The theater had 100 seats .It was said to be Off Off Broadway.I was an actor in two plays in that theater and they productions were also advertised as Off Off Broadway. Since you live in Brooklyn and appear to be a theater buff have you ever gone to the Heights Players in Brooklyn Heights ? A friend of mine was in many productions there.

One day I went with my wife shopping to a store and waited for her outside.A group of guys saw me ,did not like my look ,picked up a garbage can and attempted to pour the contents on my head.

My beard turned grey when I was 30 also but I hated it and had the barber color it .In 2010 I stopped coloring it.Now it is white and I do not like it However,I am the only person I know my age who has hair.

At one time I had a beard down to my belly.I refused to remove it when I was asked to do so at job interviews.In 1972 I began a job for a company that I worked for 25 years.Although they hired me with the long beard I was asked to have it trimmed and due to the fact that I liked working there I went to a barber and had it trimmed but still very long.Over the course of the 25 years I had the beard trimmed whenever I had a haircut but never short.Toby trims it occasionally but every time I get my haircut by my barber I have it trimmed. I also had a ponytail from 1971 to 1978.

I had a beard since 1970 and a mustache since 1961.I shaved in 2016 just so my immediate family could see what I looked like.I began to grow both back the same day.My father bought me a razor in 1959.I still have it.

I do not have Cancer but I do have two illnesses for which there is no cure .Therefore,I frequently think about my last meal.
