The fact is that it would hurt thousands of the innocent cruising public for the duration of a theoretical port ban. Would it get Carnival's attention, as the judge is hoping to do? Certainly. But at too much cost of collateral damage to the public. So it won't happen.

I suspect the mere threat of a US port ban was to get Carnival's attention, but the judge doesn't have any intention of going through with it.

exactly!  how many employees in these ports would be out of work?  how much lost revenue would occur in each city that houses the US ports?  how much would each state and each city in which these ports  reside lose in tax income from the cruise line?  not to mention how much money would citizens of the US and the world lose because their cruise has been cancelled?  because of all these underlying factors this is exactly what it is a threat that will never happen.  you want to punish the corporation then punish the corporation with heavy fines, but don't punish people who have nothing to do with it.

I have a question too, if I can add on here.

We are 4 adults and 2 children. The kids will not be interested in sitting down in the shade, so I'm not worried about adding them on the reservation.

I read somewhere on CC that you also get priority tender with a reserved Cabana.

Question: Will they give us 6 tender tickets for same time if we only paid for the four adults in Cabana?

    Thank you!

You don’t get priority tender tickets. When you check in on the first day to pick your cabana you will be given a excursion certificate and paperwork that tells you what time to meet on the day you are at HMC. On that day you meet at the designated venue usually the theater at the specified time. This is where everyone meets that have excursions or priority tender. They will call you by excursions and as a group you board the first tender to the island. You show your excursion certificate as you get on the tender. The people in your group just follow with you. They will not worry about counting how many people are with you. They will just guide you on the tender.

Unless you are buying them the soda card, soda isn't complementary.  But if they have charging privileges on their card, still not a problem.

Oh I know that. Luckily they are not big soda drinkers. They have been on over 10 cruises but only the 1 on NCL. I usually put like $70 each on their S&S card for the week and they can get whatever they want. But once it’s gone it’s gone😀

  4. my Kids love hot wings. I was wondering if my 13yr old son and 10yr old daughter can go to the local restaurant by themselves and order hot wings and soda since it is a complimentary restaurant. Or does an adult have to be with them to order.

  5. we usually get cheers and my wife likes to drink wine especially red wine.  wine by the glass at the bars is pretty much the same you might have only 2 red wine selections. the  dinning room has a better wine list and should offer more choices by the glass.  my wife often goes to the steak house and gets wine at the bar and takes it back to whatever bar i'm at.  the steak house house the best wine list and the most wine by the glass selections.  most people don't know about the bar at the steak house or don't think you can go to it unless you are dining at the steak house.

  6. that seems high.  i have had  4 up sell calls.  from an inside to a balcony has always been $250 total.  once on the glory i had a choice $250 to go from inside to balcony or $300 to go to aft wrap around balcony.  i of course jumped all over the aft wrap around balcony.  that was the best cabin i  have ever had.

  7. "Seems Carnival didn't pay their bill and are not showing any NFL games that are on broadcast TV, so any games on FOX, CBS or NBC won't be able to be viewed on the ship. At least that's the last word I heard about it."

You just made this up, Carnival did not pay their bill, seriously? The Masters was on CBS in April on the conquest. The sports bars can play anything they want. They removed the networks from the staterooms, as satellite commercial services pay per capacity.

Carnival no longer carries network channels. like many of the other cruise lines they have all dropped network channels and numerous other channels to save money. the reason you were able to watch the masters in april was because the ships have espn deportes and espn deportes has the rights to show the masters along with lots of other sporting events i will post below. they also have the rights to NFL but only monday night football, superbowl, pro bowl, and 1 wild card game.

  8. This is just not true. The network stations were definitely on in the Conquest sports bar. They had at least 3 different network venues playing at the same time. The Masters is exclusively on CBS and they have no connection to ESPN.

Everything I said was true. Network channels are gone even in the sports bar. Espn international has full masters coverage in 53 countries. Don’t believe me here you go. Since you base everything off of you watching the masters in the sports bar here is the full broadcast rights to the masters. Pay attention to the last paragraph you might learn something![emoji23]

    International televisionEdit

The BBC has broadcast the Masters in the UK since 1986, and it also provides live radio commentary on the closing stages on Radio Five Live. With the 2007 launch of BBC HD, UK viewers can now watch the championship in that format. BBC Sport held the TV and radio rights through to 2010.[112] The BBC's coverage airs without commercials because it is financed by a licence fee. From the 2011 Masters, Sky Sports began broadcasting all four days, as well as the par 3 contest in HD and, for the first time ever, in 3D. The BBC will only have highlights of the first two days' play but will go head to head with Sky Sports, with full live coverage on the final two days of play.[113] In Ireland, Setanta Ireland previously showed all four rounds, and now since 2017 Eir Sport broadcast all four rounds live having previously broadcast the opening two rounds with RTÉ broadcasting the weekend coverage.[114]

In Canada, broadcast rights to the Masters are held by Bell Media, with coverage divided between TSN (cable), which carries live simulcasts and primetime encores of CBS and ESPN coverage for all four rounds, CTV (broadcast), which simulcasts CBS's coverage of the weekend rounds, and RDS, which carries French-language coverage. Prior to 2013, Canadian broadcast rights were held by a marketing company, Graham Sanborn Media,[115] which in turn bought time on the Global Television Network, TSN, and RDS (except for 2012 when French-language coverage aired on TVA and TVA Sports) to air the broadcasts, also selling all of the advertising for the Canadian broadcasts. This was an unusual arrangement in Canadian sports broadcasting, as in most cases broadcasters acquire their rights directly from the event organizers or through partnerships with international rightsholders, such as ESPN International (ESPN owns a minority stake in TSN). In 2013, Global and TSN began selling advertising directly, and co-produced supplemental programs covering the tournament (while still carrying U.S. coverage for the tournament itself).[116][117]

On December 15, 2015, TSN parent company Bell Media announced that it had acquired exclusive Canadian rights to the tournament beginning 2016 under a multi-year deal. Broadcast television coverage moved to co-owned broadcast network CTV, while TSN uses its expanded five-channel service to carry supplemental feeds (including the Amen Corner feed and early coverage of each round) that were previously exclusive to digital platforms.[118][119]

In 53 countries, including much of Latin America, broadcast rights for the entire tournament are held by the ESPN International networks.[120]

  9. The Sports Bar has network TV, Carnival chooses not to share it with their guests. We watched the Masters a few weeks ago. They were also showing NCAA B-Ball games

I spent a lot of time in the sports bar on my last cruise on 3/25/18. I asked the bartender about the network stations. He said the network stations are gone even in the sports bar. But they have international espn. Because it is international and not domestic espn they will air a lot of sports that would be on network channels in the states on the international espn. This was on the pride. I have been on the pride 7 times and the bartender has been there the last 5 times I cruise on the pride. He recognizes me the first time I go into the bar every cruise and we usually have very honest conversation about the ship during the cruise so I believe what he says. Actually on the pride the server that controls the sports bar has been down for months and he has been waiting for carnival to approve the repair and fix it. So what this means is that the tv’s behind the bar are stuck on a specific channel and he can’t control them. He can’t even turn them off all he can do is turn the volume up or down. One side of the bar the channels are stuck on espn international. And the other side they are stuck on espn 2 also international. During the week I was on we were able to watch on these 2 channels women’s final 4. NCAA elite 8 and final 4(final 4 also played outside). Golf and mlb opening day games. All these games were on network tv in the states but because they had international espn it was available to watch.

  10. Is it just the person who is platinum/diamond or does priority include everyone in their cabin?

i think it is for the platinum/diamond person and up to 5 guests. can't remember the exact number but it will be on your paperwork they put in your room the night before the tender port.

  11. i was on the pride march 25. the red frog bar does not have the pub food. at the sports bar you can order hot wings and a personal pizza. i know the wings were $5 because my son ordered them on 4 different nights because he liked them so much. the pizza i believe was also $5. the bartender will take your sign and sail card and call room service for you. it took about 45 minutes for the food to get to the bar. you sign the slip from the room service employee and i also gave them a tip. the sports bar also has Doritos and chips that cost a dollar. they used to also have hot pretzels that i think were $2 but the bartender said the machine was broken when i was on the cruise.

  12. On the pride 2 weeks ago they had them. They were at every pool. They monitored the pool and seemed on top of it. Might not be certified lifeguards but at least there is someone watching the pool. Several times I saw them talk to kids and have them stop running around the pool and to stop jumping into the pool.

  13. Went to princess cay last week for the first time on Carnival. I thought it was horrible. The rocks and boulders in the water were dangerous because you couldn’t see them. I am 6’4 and was trying to walk out into the water to catch up with my kids and kept running into huge under water rocks. Banging my knee or toe into them. Then when I tried to get out of the water I thought I was going to break my leg you have to walk over a floor of rocks. Then without warning you take a step and your foot drops 2 feet down onto jagged rocks then I would fall forward onto my arms. This happened multiple times just trying to get out of the water. I will never go to this port again. HMC is a million times better
