Please accept my heartfelt apologies. I did not intend to offend - just expressing my opinion. I will choose my words more carefully in the future. Hope you and your family have a wonderful cruise. Kay

Are you talking about this announcement from January, 2022? Celebrity Cancels Infinity's Summer Europe Program for Caribbean Cruises Celebrity Cruises has cancelled its summer program aboard the Celebrity Infinity in Europe. Instead the ship will sail in the Caribbean. "Celebrity Cruises is pleased to announce we will be relocating Celebrity Infinity from Europe to the Caribbean. As a result, we will be canceling all Celebrity Infinity Mediterranean sailings currently scheduled to depart April 15, 2022 through November 28, 2022. This will allow us to open new seven-night Caribbean cruises for sale in the Summer and Fall months," the company said in a letter sent to booked guests. The ship was originally set to spend the summer in the Mediterranean, mainly sailing seven-night sailings to Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. Source: https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/26630-celebrity-cancels-infinity-s-summer-europe-program-for-caribbean-cruises.html While the cancellation of the Med itineraries is showing on the Cancelled Sailings list on the website, Infinity is sailing in the Caribbean right now.

I am one of those older cruisers and I enjoy seeing children on the ship. I do expect them to be well behaved enough to not push all the elevator buttons or not run through the Solarium, but I would expect the same of a child at a land based resort. Call me old fashioned. As mahdnc said, summer brings more families, so more kids. The late August sailing might have fewer children as it seems like some schools start mid-August these days. IMHO, if an older cruiser (which is not an accurate description of the Celebrity clientele to begin with, again-my opinion) doesn't want to sail with kids, they shouldn't be on a cruise in August! 😁

Just booked directly with Celebrity yesterday and PIF for 9/17/22 Caribbean cruise with $200 OBC included with the "sale." The sale terms changed today and the cost is slightly less, but no OBC with the new sale. Can I get back the difference without losing the OBC that came with yesterday's sale? Thx. Kay

Ran out of "Edit" time to add my final comment: Wow - the captain really put the petal to the metal. 5:00 pm and you just went under the Verrazzano Bridge. Took GenX an hour to reach the bridge when they departed at 4 pm and went up past the SoL first and they were going much slower. Enjoy your evening.

Princess also has a similar sailing.

Passengers may be allowed to take them aboard on other lines, but not on Celebrity. Prohibited Items: Electrical Extension Cords

Are Cabanas Still Available for Purchase on Apex?
MarKay525 replied to WKUTopperFan's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I would imagine they are sold out. If I remember correctly, there were only 8 total on Edge and Thanksgiving week is undoubtedly a full sailing. There is some outdoor seating near Eden Cafe that was generally unused when we sailed on Edge, but we weren't sailing at full capacity. -
We've used these services: A1A Limo: https://a1alimo.com/car-service-orlando/ Have used them several times in different cities. Cocoa Beach Shuttle: https://cocoabeachshuttle.com/our-fleet/ If you want a sedan, be very specific when making the reservation. Our hotel made the reservation and although we requested a sedan, we ended up with a very uncomfortable van for 2 people. NJLVW - don't know where you live in Massachusetts, but when we lived in the west suburbs we would take a cab or Logan Express to the airport, then treat ourselves to the excellent livery service of Le Limo when we arrived back in Boston. It was a wonderful way to end a cruise! EatonDoolittle - the OP and NJLVW basically asked the same question since Kissimee is adjacent to Orlando, the location of Disney World. They just used different geographic references for their starting point. End destination is basically the same for both inquiries.

If this worked correctly, this is a recent report. If it didn't work correctly, this is post #172 on the GenX live thread.

On board testing to comply with another cruise line requirement
MarKay525 replied to clojacks's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Providing testing will still be required at the time of your cruise, does NCL allow the testing to be done the same day as embarkation? From the guidelines referenced in post # 7, does "within two days of the embarkation date" include the day of departure? -
Hi - does all of this assume you have received a FCC number from Celebrity? On May 3rd our TA cancelled a cruise for us. When I contacted him last week to inquire about the status as we have a final payment coming up, he said the FCC was not available yet. Thx - Kay
