  1. When you book your cruise you have the option for early/late dining.

You have the option for single or double beds in your cabin.

Why not a tick box option for dressing up a little or staying casual? It would certainly end the fuss!

If the majority tick for dressing up then have the main dining room just for them. Then a smaller waiter led dining room for the rest. Vice versa if the majority go for casual.

Shouldn't be hard for the on-board staff to arrange this as they will know the answer before the sail date.

  2. My wife and I will be wearing matching farmer overalls and combat boots. Is that OK? You did say we could wear wht we want to wear!

Fine with me as so many pay no heed to any of the dress guides and wear what they want. (Some just because they want to annoy on purpose - not you of course - as long as you polish those boots :) )

Which I was trying to say in my post. Pointless to have any sort of dress code/guidance/help/information, on the Celebrity website if no one looks at it or takes any notice of it.

Enforce the dress code, or scrap it altogether, which will stop all the pointless questions and arguments on here.

Or how about a smaller separate dining room for those who wish to dress up? The rest can go free style then.

  3. Really helpful comment  People are just trying to answer the OP's question.

It is just another odd question people ask on here. Surely guests are able to make their own minds on what to wear each evening. They would not ask the neighbours what to wear to work tomorrow, would you?

Its like the question "I'm going on xxxxxxxx cruise next year, what tours shall I book, or what should I have for dinner?

The post was for them to make heir own minds up, not for them just to not listen to any of the posts on here.

  4. Hi

This is our first Celebrity cruise. I am just wondering about evening wear in the main restaurant on formal nights and non-formal nights. Should I take the type of long, strappy gown that I have taken on Cunard for formal nights and cocktail type short dresses for non-formal nights? Help please. My husband will be taking his dinner suit and smart shirts and trousers, with or without a tie. Should he take a jacket as well?

    Thanks

    Sandie

Don't listen to others on here make your own minds up and wear what you want to wear.

  5. Can't seem to find the answer anywhere and want to make use of our premium drinks pack.

Also. is there a limit on how many drinks you can get in a certain time?

For instance, if its hot and I get a beer and drink it quickly, then get another one in 5/10 minutes, will this count as getting two and therefore be charged for the second one?

Or should you need to wait a certain time so as not to be charged for the second one? I have read that people have ordered a glass of wine with dinner, then ordered a second one half hour later and the waiter has put them both through at the same time, thus occurring a charge for the second one.

  6. What hotel are you staying at?

When we flew into Miami last year on a Celebrity cruise we had one night in a hotel. The hotel had a free shuttle bus that ran every 20 minutes. We just got on that.

We printed off the details and the details and times we were to be picked up the next morning to be taken to the ship.

  7. Simple answer, if your scared don't go!

Are you going to cancel every holiday because something has happened in a country your going to visit?

Stay at home and hide in the wardrobe?

We have site here called the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) It has an A-Z of countries with travel advice. You probably have a similar one, have a look.

If it says on there that its safe to travel to a particular country, then that's all the information I need.

Off to Egypt next week for a holiday, not worried in the slightest about any trouble. Only worried that my flight takes off on time and that the hotel is good!
