  1. I tried to book and pay for our cruise online with Celeb UK. Went all through the process, pre cruise hotels, flights, cabin number, etc, etc went to put my card details and it failed. So I went through the whole process a second time and it failed again. had to waste a lot of money on a lengthy phone call to book then.

To date they have sent me 14 incorrect invoices. never had a problem when I have booked through any other cruise company before.
  2. Get the people mover to the bus station square then walk. Cross the bridge at the opposite end of the bus station square and you will be by the train station. Spend the day strolling the back streets and you will have a wonderful day. You will end up at St Marks square after a brief pit stop for a drink and snack somewhere.

Do the same in reverse or get the water bus back too the train station stop for about €5

  3. Many forget that you have to start drinking very early in the day to be able to drink all day.

    Drink up

Oh I will be sure to take note of that ha ha :D

On our last cruise there was an often drunken Scotsman, who used to argue with the dining room waiters every morning at breakfast because they would not bring him any gin to go with his toast.....

  4. Walk from the terminal to the people mover, about 2/3 minutes at most.

People mover to next stop €2

You are then at the small square where the buses are.

    Bus to station €5

    So €7 each

Same in reverse to get to ship, except you can buy a bus ticket at the airport from machines in the hall where the luggage conveyor belts are. So you can purchase your ticket while you wait for your suitcase to arrive.

  5. Celebrity customer service in the UK at least, is rubbish.

I have received 14 different invoices for my November cruise and yet to receive a correct one. Despite many telephone calls.

Paid the balance off yesterday but have yet to receive my final invoice.

  6. I bet if you look at the offer closely, it may well say that it can be altered or withdrawn at any time.

Would you rather Celebrity get tired of all the complaints and just withdraw it for everyone, whether they have booked a cruise on the free package alone or not, because of the complaints?

  7. But if you booked an all inclusive holiday where they had advertised premium brands, then got to find they had changed to just local and house brands you might be just a bit peeved!

No I would not - as I would never book a holiday/cruise just because I got some free drinks with it.

I book cruises for the destination/itinerary, not for which ship I sail on or the price of it. I booked y holiday in Egypt for the destination and that the dates were right for me. The all inclusive was just given as part of the holiday, same as my November cruise. If I was worried that X or Y drink was included I would simply upgrade for only a little extra - just the price of 1 classic martini a day.

  8. I booked our November sailing on the Millennium without knowing about the free drinks package until I telephoned Celebrity to book.

So, any sort of free drinks package is a bonus to me whatever is on offer.

In Europe if you book an all inclusive holiday in Spain or Greece for instance, even Egypt where we are staying in September and have all inclusive, all that is ever offered as part of an all inclusive package, will be house spirits, local beers and soft drinks.

So even with cut backs the Celebrity offer is still fantastic. - to me anyway!

  9. I would not believe that list Poffles.

Some of the drinks on it have gone over the price limit and are now not available on the classic package, according to other posters who have just come off ship and have posted on here.
