@Bgwest- Thank you again for this info. I called the Crown, and these are indeed working numbers.

It rang quite a few times and then went into elevator muzak. It clicked and rang again and I got a real human on the line. long story short, they DO have the phone and will be making arrangements to return it.

@PacnGoNow- you are also a star with your info!

Don't have the phone in my hands yet, but it looks good!

    Thanks again everyone!

Glad you found it, I've found quite a few phones at my local casinos and can't turn them in fast enough lol.

OK that's what I thought. We have done a least 8 Captains Tables and first thing we did is call dine line for reservations.

They've just recently opened up the reservations to everyone, but if you get a chance could you ask when Catch is tentatively supposed to open?  We are on for 15 days in December and hoping its open by then.

We loved our 360 experience as well, hope to go again one day.

  3. Booked a B2B not even thinking about the date I need to fly in.  Valentine's Day and I don't know if its too early but hotel prices in Long Beach are ranging from about $350  to over $700.  Even the Queen Mary is almost $300 CA.  Booked a refundable rate at Golden Sails, it has been recommended here just wondering if any one has any recent reviews.  TIA

A bit of an older thread but thought I'd update, I applied for my son and I, renewals, in mid-June and just got notified we are both approved, no interviews or new pictures. I assume the new cards are in the mail or something, but good for another 5 years! Kiddo was only 7 or so in the last one, and he is 13 now so looks quite different. I am happy to get them renewed before our December trip though! Good timing. So it was about 4 months for the renewal in case anyone is waiting or wondering.

I just checked my application (again) and thought I'd applied much sooner than when I did.  June is when they processed my payment so hoping mine is going to be approved soon.  Last time it showed up in the mail no interview needed, but I think that was my 3rd renewal.

  5. Vacation insurance change for British Columbia starts Oct 16
Effective Monday, Oct 16, 2023, Princess Vacation Protection and Princess Vacation Protection Platinum will no longer be available to British Columbia residents. Guests who have previously added Princess Vacation Protection will have the plan remain on the booking regardless of sail date at this time. Our At Ease Waiver, currently offered as an alternative for residents of Québec, Puerto Rico, Mexico and New York, is not available to residents of British Columbia. We are working toward an option for residents of British Columbia in the future and will communicate updates here .

This information IS on the website you just have to look for it.

Note that Princess Vacation Protection is not available to residents of the state of New York, British Columbia, Quebec, Puerto Rico, or Mexico.

  6. FYI we did a B2B in April and bid on both, found out the day before boarding that we were unsuccessful on both of them.  Not surprised, cruises are sailing full and certain categories book up early.

Question:  How does one acquire the Medallion Accessory that comes With the Premier Package?  Do you order it in advance, or pick it up at the Ocean Front shop once on board?

I ran the math every which way, making assumptions as to what our shipboard life will be like, and concluded that all in, Premier would probably cost us $13 more per person over the course of a 9 day cruise as compared to getting Plus and then paying out of pocket for the things that Premier provides.  So I went with Premier thinking that my assumptions are likely conservative and even if they are not, the freedom to add in an extra Casual Dining Meal, get reserved seats in the theater, maybe take home a photo or two, and the corny fun of thinking that we might win a prize were collectively worth the extra $13 which comes out to $1.44 pp/pd.

The accessory is a bright blue clip to hold the Medallion, and mine was in the cabin when I boarded.  Similar to the ones the staff wear.

Really enjoyed my upgrade perks and had photos taken for the first time in years.

  8. I upgraded as soon as I boarded because I wanted to use my OBC and had purchased the insurance.  Enjoyed the Crown Grill and Sabatinis, Salty Dog Gastropub and Vines were excellent.  I was on the Crown and tried a few cocktails over the $15 limit the Salted Watermelon Margarita was very good.

A little disappointed the Rose I’d seen posted was not available at Vines but the regular one was fine. I am still not comfortable going to packed shows in the theatre so skipped it this cruise as well.  Bonus no Covid during or after 100 + days since last February.  I did not win anything on Princess Prizes but the host in the casino took very good care of me so no complaints there.

I am booked again on the Crown end of October and have already upgraded and made my specialty dining reservations,  On the prior cruise I called the dine line very soon after embarking and was able to get the days and times I requested with no issues.

Salty Dog was very busy the night I went so had a bit of a wait going forward I will probably make a reservation.

I thought it was good value especially on my shorter cruises.

  9. I disembarked September 15th and Princess put a hold on my account on the 13th.  The amount owing has been paid in full but the pending charge is still there 9 days later, which seems excessive.

Will try contacting them but thought I'd check and see if this is standard but I don't recall any lasting more than 4 or 5 days.

Thats all I've been getting lately is Server Prob.

My Cvp out this week, and I had to talk to the dreaded call center, you know where.

Half way thru the call he began saying, hello?  Hello?

I could hear him but he couldn't hear me.

Needless to say the issue I called about Wasn't corrected.

So I will wait til cvp returns.  The App and the call center isn't worth the frustration!

I just keep tapping the log in button, it eventually gives up and lets me in.  On the rare occasion I’m still locked out I use my booking number, name and DOB.

Just curious how it turned out.  Did the Medallion continue showing you had the Premier package once you boarded the ship or did it revert back to Plus?

    B

It was Plus but I think I was the first passenger to upgrade to Premier on boarding 😃

  12. It’s just the way it reads.  If you go into the app choose your medallion and click on the icon it will show you the details.
Color probably won’t change until it’s shipped, and no one looks at the QR code when boarding.  So you will just go straight to green.
