  1. I would suggest contacting tours plaza for an island tour since you can transfer to a car. They were great on our visit this month. I bet if you explain your needs they can arrange a perfect tour for you.

  2. As one of the threads identified in that there are 4 complementary dining rooms. Prior to the announced change--the elimination of dynamic dining-- each of the four had distinct menus and distinct waiter's uniforms. However, now my understanding is that 2 will be assigned as MTD and the other 2 will be MDR as in the rest of the fleet. I'm so sad to see DD gone, as I truly enjoyed the DD Classic version on our Anthem's Aug. 25th cruise.

I had not really read anything about the dynamic dining. Sounds interesting though.

  3. Technically Anthem doesn't have 1 main dining room, but instead she has 4 different rooms. Assuming you will be sailing after 11/27/16, you will have either My Time or Traditional and be assigned to one of the venues for the duration of the cruise. Menus will change nightly. Just like Oasis.

Ok so theres s free dining room plus a few free snack places then the specialties for a fee?

  4. I booked the Anthem while on board the Empress since its the cruise my family wants to go on. But now I am looking it appears that the food it an additional charge? Is that correct? Are shows included and activities included or are they additional costs as well?

  5. We are sailing on Empress Oct. 10. So far so good. Called hotel in Ft. lauderdlemtoday. Room is good to go. Southwest says they are good to go, now just hoping predicted 40% chance of rain in Key Wet and 60% in Cozumel cooperate a little bit.

  6. I have a daughter and there is no way I would. Grand Cayman maybe, but the other 3 islands absolutely not. Just too dangerous in my opinion, Jamaica more so than the others.

I'm with you on this. Why chance it.

In Jamaica two cab drivers tried to separate the girls from the guys. May have been nothing but who knows. I wasn't willing to chance it.

  7. On a family cruise we were at the beach swimming within about 10 feet of two older British ladies hanging over a raft. The one lady says to the other oh dear your boobie popped out. She chuckles and tucks it back in. My step brother says you have no idea how long I've been waiting for that to happen but I sure hoped it would be someone a lot younger. We all have a good laugh and say I bet she'll be younger when you tell your friends.

On the same triBelize we take a trip with free rum punch. The trip was not great so were all joking about better drink $80 worth of rum punch. Step brother gives it a try and drinks so much that he can barley stay upright. We get back on the ship and he is stumbling down the hall to the room grabbing on to the railings on both sides. Step sister (12ish) says I have always wondered what those were for.

My fav story of my grandmas. My grandparents were on an excursion on their Alaskan cruise and the guide ask is anyone celebrating anything my grandpa who says very little raises his hand and says divorce. My grandma just looks blankly at him along with everyone on the bus and he just laughs. No idea what come over him.

  8. That's what I figured, I didn't think it would be so cheap from MB. I got quotes of $240-$140 for 5 people to go to Negril. But OP is probably docking in OR.

Yeah looks like it's over an hour an a half from MB

we were on a P&O uk cruise a few years ago and became very friendly with a cruise director who told us of this story and it still makes us chuckle to this day.

An elderly female passenger called Dorothy approached the CD and explained that she had a birthday coming up and would like to arrange a small gathering of people she'd met for a celebration drink, could he arrange it for her. The CD told her to "leave it to him". On the morning of her birthday she approached the CD and was quite upset, when asked what the matter was, she showed the CD the copy of the daily ships programme, which stated " Friends of Dorothy get together," the poor lady thought that the CD had invited anyone on the ship to attend her small gathering and was worried she didn't have enough money to pay for the drinks. Once the CD explained that FOD meant a gathering for the LGBT people on board, she saw the funny side of it and said "how nice for them, of course in my day they called them Marys"

Hope you see the funny side too and get well soon xx

    Oh how funny!!! [emoji2]
