  1. Did you book flight through the cruise line or separate?

We have done both ways. If through cruise we fly in same day if on our own we fly in at least a day before.

The cruise line has had us arriving at 2pm the same day of the cruise, that cuts it very close. In fact my parents nearly missed the boat because of a plane problem. They were detoured to Orlando waiting to fly to ft lauderdale. But since it was through the cruise line they held the ship waiting for info from Orlando. They walked in during muster.

  2. On a cruise several years ago my parents room had a sink that was leaking badly. They made multiple attempts to fix and finally had them pack up and move. It didn't ruin their cruise but took away from it. They understood that stuff happens but at the same time missed out on things when they had to meet maintenance, make calls and pack and move four people. They too were given $500 to be used on a future cruised, booked within the next year.

  3. It's been a little while since I was on the Oasis but I really enjoyed it. Ship is beautiful and huge, might as will be a city on water. And the shows are amazing I think the only thing I could've had a complaint about was that there weren't any open decks besides the top decks. And that's not even really a complaint it's just something I kind of missed from the other ships.

I too say ignore the negative reviews and go enjoy yourselves.

  4.

If you decide to try the patch' date=' make sure you try it when you're safely at home first. That medication makes me hallucinate, and I'm really glad I found that out in my safe house .[/quote']

My pharmacist made a point to tell me not to try while feeling fine at home that you are more prone to the side effects when you do not require the medication. Not sure if that is accurate or not. I have always waited until right before we leave port and fond the patch to be great.

  5. I can not speech for other independent cab companies but we have used Antony's company a few times with great service. We discovered him by mistake on our first trek outside the port he stopped and talked to us and we a group of 5 decided to give it a try it cost us $20 a head at the time and was for the day. We may have just gotten very lucky but he offered us a great tour of the island.

  6. We never pay for a cruise excursion anymore. Just hire a taxi for the day and request to be back 1-2 hours in advance just to be safe.

Are you with several people you should be able to get a cab for about $25 a head for the day.

If you walk outside the port and look for Antony he does $20-$25 a head. He charges a little less as he us an independent company. We've used Antony and his guys a few times and always had a good day.

  7. Watch those patches that go behind your ear. They gave me double vision and when I took them off I was violently ill.

The patches do have a side effect of blurred vision. I experienced this when my patch fell off and I replaced it. At least for me it was caused by basically doubling up the dose. I still swear by these, for me it is what makes me able to enjoy my cruise. I do suggest reading the side effect info before using.
