  1. Photo  at the end of  April on walking trail off Icefields Parkway Canadian Rockies. Loved the snow but not a good idea to go off trail!! Travel is about new experiences, I love to visit Canada, but not sure I could  endure the months of winter snow.

FYI, tomorrow is the Miami marathon so there may be congestion in downtown Miami.

looking forward to virtually travelling with you.

  2. It looks like with the easy  package  you can get zero  proof cocktails and a shot of spirit (or two!!!) And  make  your  own  custom  drink . Anyone tried this yet? I have  been  on MSC for  2 cruises so far and have another  booked . I'm budgeting  for my limoncello, I  got addicted last cruise. Also  loved getting  coffees  at the bars which seems to be included  in  the  easy  plan.

  3. Hi Andrew and family

Just wanted to let you know that I'm following your amazing trip. I must get back to Alaska. These last few years my "cold north" trips have been to the Canadian Rockies . That's also spectacular but after 4 visits my husband still hasn't seen a moose!! As a south floridian the mountains , lakes and hikes to waterfalls make for an exhilarating vacation .

Please keep posting we are here waiting for your updates and appreciate the time you spend doing it.

  4. Hi,

We were in Cuba on the Empress at the end of April. We did not purchase a Royal tour, we did pre-book a tour with a car company. They met us after we got off the ship and we had a great tour. We went back to the ship for dinner (had a great meal in WJ). Unfortunately I couldn't convince my travelling companions to go to one of the night clubs.

The next day we were free to come and go and we walked around and visited the Mercardo for souvenir shopping. We had a couple of drinks, something to eat and some great cuban coffee and returned to the port where we bought our rum. Rum seemed to be the same price everywhere and that way we only had to carry it for a short distance.

Prior to the cruise it did seem that the information available made everything seem very complicated, but it really wasn't and we had a great time. I'm sure you will too, the people we met were glad to interact with us, and despite the sad state of repair of some of the buildings, Havana was very clean.

    Enjoy your trip!!

  5. Enjoying your posts. I figure that if you are a month behind it will extend the postings for the world cruise and my vicarious enjoyment of all the world cruise bloggers will be extended. I'm interested to read how your Crystal cruise experience is. Keep cruising to the fullest, blogging can wait. It is interesting to see the port experiences you choose and your appreciation of other cultures

    Keep on blogging!!!.

    Mary
