  1.

None of TA itineraries that available for Fall 2017 I want to do. Otherwise I would have booked them. I wanted to sail from Barcelona.

The only $200 OBC X is offering is not enticing me to book anything with X. At least they could offer that we will pay the same pricing for a category and a region.

I think is a generous offer. You get $200.00 plus the OBC that you have at when you first made the booking with Celebrity.

  2. We just upgraded ourselves from Aqua to a Sky Suite. Just wondering what we can expect in terms of the mini bar in the room, laundry, extra amenities.

I thought I had read somewhere that because we booked Sky Suite, we would be "honorary" elite passenger amenities. I don't see anything on the Celebrity site, however, I know that cruise critic members are often "in the know"!!!:):):)

If you are in the Suites Class, they should offer you the BEST Peckage.

  3. We're loyal X cruisers (1500+ CC points) and were on the "race to Zenith", tying to book as many long night cruises in top level suites. X introduced the Suite Program and we were excited. Then the bottom fell out, and it became clear that Lisa Lutoff-Perlow was moving Celebrity in a new direction: try to attract younger customers to cruising. Hook them in now and they will be with you for life.

Here's the problem: they don't have money (they are in student debt up to their ass) and what they do have they are NOT going to spend it on a cruise.

In the meantime you have alienated your loyal cruisers, who don't care about "Evening Chic" and all the nonsense that comes with it. Celebrity isn't RCCL. If we wanted that we would have stayed with RCCL.

So Lisa. Good luck to you and what you are trying to do. Watch your repeat business tank as Oceania, Seabourn and other lines pick up the loyal guests you ignored by trying to appeal to hipsters.

Hopefully Richard Fain will have the sense to realize how you have destroyed the brand and bring someone in to fix it. Until then, sayonara.

    You must be Japanese なら

  4. We were on the Oasis of the Seas in mid June. We wanted to check and see how many Corwn and Anchor Points we had.. We were told we would have to go to the Library, because that was where they hid the Crown and Anchor representative.

We walked up there, and there was a sign that stated the hours we could check. It was between 2pm-5pm.

Around 4:15pm we were hanging out in the Solarium, enjoying my beer package and decided to walk down to the Library to check..

The first hint should have been that the library door was closed, but not locked..

I was holding a beer in my hand as we walked into the library..

There was a group of people sitting around a table saying the "God grant me the serenity" prayer as we walked in..

One lady jumped up and yelled at me that it was a "Friends of Bill" meeting and that i needed to leave.. aka AA meeting..

Obviously we walked out, and the clerk came out and said that the meetings are totally arranged by the cruisers and the cruise line has no control over when/where they meet..

I totally understand the need for meeting space, BUT, the cruise line should have some control over when/where, especially when there is only a limited schedule for someone to check their C/A points..

Don't they have the Crown & Anchor points shown on the Royal Caribbean SALE on your email.

Mine always shown I have 14 points on the email that they sent out to me.

  5. We have a suite booked for next April. It is on LOS. This will be our first suite. We normally cruise in balcony cabins.

We are so excited to try it. My DH got sick last year and we weren't able to go on our cruise so we are combining our money from that cruise with this one. We booked really early and were able to get a good deal on a GS.

We will see what it is all about and may not ever get to go in a suite after this but we will enjoy it while we can. We are among the cruisers who enjoy staying in our cabin a good deal on our cruises since we are in our mid 60's.

It always makes me happy to see that people are able to go on many cruises and enjoy the most expensive cabins. I am happy for them. My DH & I feel very blessed that we are able to cruise at all. It is something that we never dreamed we would be able to do.

No matter which type of cabin you choose, just enjoy.

Cruising is just to Relax and Enjoy.

Nor matter what cabin you are in.

  6. RCI's new Royal Suite Program is for Quantum and Oasis Class ships. Details can be found here. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/royalsuiteclass?ecid=em_6536616&rid=569753692&emsc=RCIN_EM_CAS_NEWSOCT_15_EA_US_CS_PC&empf=Y&emct=PINNACLE%20CLUB&lnkid=Royal_copy_Content

As of today this program does not add anything for Suite Guests on other ships.

Thanks for posting the link.I just cancelled my Voom and keep my premiun drink package.

I didn't know what Suites Class I belong until I talked to Royal Caribbean representative's.

I am now waiting for a refund of $118.17

  7. My cousin had her boarding pass and was in line to board the plane when they pulled her aside and bumped her. She didn't have any advance notice. I don't think there was another flight that would have arrived in time to make the ship but could be wrong. I suspect there is a reason they weren't able to help her. I'd like to know what it is as she doesn't seem to be able to tell me. What also irritates me is that they did not offer her a refund or any type of compensation. It was just a sorry, we can't help you, bye. That's what she got after ten (?) months of planning for a family reunion/Alaska cruise.

If she doesn't seem to tell you something that means she is hiding something from you.Probably she is on the NO Flight List.

Even Royal Caribbean said there is nothing that they can do.

  8. If you're D/D+ or PC you will have drink coupons. The coupons can be used at designated bars during the cocktail hours the SL has. This is usually 5:00 - 8:30 pm.

Very nice ,now I have to look for the best place to use my coupons

    On Harmony.

I know the SL will be crowd with so many Pinacles

  9. Funny, we have talked to several + members in the SL and none are bitter and all pretty much like the direction RCCL is taking. + are not excluded from the SL at all. And there are around 18 different locations on o class to use the drink coupons

I will be in a suite and do I still be able to use my drink coupons elsewhere if the SL is crowd?

  10. And beer in the Suite Lounge. At least on the Oasis class they serve free beer and wine all day. Certain brands of course.

The level of service is different in my opinion in a suite. It's little things that we could live without of course. Heck, sailing in the cheapest inside cabin would work as long as I'm on a ship. But, we definitely enjoy the differences. Especially, the suite lounge, suite deck at the pool and first on, first off lines on the ship (very efficient and quick). Again, all can be lived without, but they are nice to have. Are they worth the cost. Not in my opinion (unless you get a great deal). I would definitely not book for the extras. But, I do book for the additional cabin and balcony space.

One more question,is former night dress code Formal or Casual in Coastal Kitchen?

Sorry is a little out of topic.

  11. I realise this thread may not resonate with most cruisers but there is nowhere else independent (of the Sea)where I can ask the question.

OK. You get more space in a suite. But the list of other extras seems thin. I say that compared to sister company Celebrity where suite guests drink free in a private club and have their own restaurant. They also get some free internet time and a couple of free laundry coupons plus many other discounts. And they get reserved seating etc. etc. And they get a butler - though that is someone we can manage without.

    Am I missing something?

    you do get double points.

  12. Istanbul is already cancelled as a port stop. Our Constellation cruise in April which was supposed to have had an overnight in Istanbul was changed to Kusadasi, Rhodes visits and an overnight in Athens. Not sure how they could change a start or finish of a cruise in Istanbul.

I wonder if the USA had a mass killing similar to what has just happened in the USA in Miami or Fort Lauderdale would Americans be calling for these two ports to be closed for cruise ships as terrorist risks.

One has to be careful when calling for bans and boycotts. The possible threat of something happening means the terrorists are winning.

That sermon said I wouldn't be going to Istanbul at the moment

This is the repetitive occurrence terrorists attacked on the same city for the past few months.

This show the weakness of the security and safety there.

Yes if this happen multiple times on one particular port in the USA.There should consider closing the port temporally for security and safety reason.

  13. Not really their 'preferences' but just that they want to understand different customers better. So when they get the results they can say e.g. passengers earning over $1m want exclusive suite dining, while passengers under $100k want a range of speciality restaurants (as a hypothetical example).

It's just about trying to see whether there are any common characteristics in preferences to help with understanding customer groups better. If they don't know the characteristics of the customer groups then it's just one big blob of customer preferences, which makes it harder to customise then.

That is very true,I will answer as truthful as I could.

This will determine the direction where they going to head to.

Your next new ship from Celebrity could determine from the survey.Hope those have the survey can take that seriously.
