  1. Water is available anywhere unless you want bottled. In that case depending on how much you drink a package may be advantageous. The fresh squeezed OJ is WONDERFUL! I find it worth it! You can get bottles of water to take back to your room & at port! You can get sodas with your meals, not just in CL. At $20 p/day I come out to the good. It just depends on your drinking habits.

  2. I would look at romeinlimo for all your italy ports. They are one of the best. They arrive in nice Mercedes minivans; already stocked with water; they will pull up right in front of tower in Pisa and let you out. If you need to stop at atm machine; or bathroom break; they know where everything is. I used them in both Pisa/Florence and Rome

Thank you! I will research them!

  3. Here is the pinch you requested.

Have you read MADQ's review of her Med cruise? Different ship, but lots of info about the ports. CC is not letting me access my subscribed threads lately, so I can't link it for you. . Also, to the person who sent me a friend request, I can't access that either, but, hello, friend. :)

Thanks for trying the link & OUCH (for the pinch);) I'll go check out the review now!

  4. Kathy-

Glad to hear you had a good experience with the bus tours! I will look in to them for sure!

    Gary-

Thank you for all the tips!!! I look forward to seeing everything & will check out the ports of call boards!

    Doc2725-

I used my TA. I think the prices are still good for another week??? Don't hold me to that!;)

  5. We will spend 3 days in Barcelona before boarding. Our ports of call are Mallorca, Provence, Florence/Pisa, Rome & Naples. We return to Barcelona to fly home. I appreciate all your help! The private drivers sounds like a great option with my parents at their ages. If the bus tours are hot & tiresome I need to consider that before booking!

  6. There are 4 of us. DS & I are taking parents on a dream cruise! I'm looking for all the must sees. This will be their one shot to see the Med & I want to make sure they see all the hot spots! They are pushing 80 & travel is getting tougher for them. We want this to be a dream come true for them!

  7. We did it several years ago and it was a lot of fun. On our Serenade cruise in a couple of weeks its listed on the first night and we really don't want to do it the first night on board so we've decided not to.

Ours is on the first night & it was listed under Specialty Restaurants & Dining Experiences.

  8. Do they have it on the Jewel? I'll have to check I guess. Thanks

I'm not sure. This is the first time I've ever noticed it. But it doesn't sound like a new thing! I have no idea which ships or class of ships have it. I've been on at least one ship in each class & am just now noticing it. I tend to stay in my ruts. I want to try everything at least once!

  9. You're welcome. I had a great time and can't wait for next December. Have a great time on your cruise.

Thank you! I'm getting super excited. There's nothing like hearing that "DING" & feeling that rush of cruise ship air blasting you in the face! :D

Thank you Clarea for the info! I'm looking forward to trying something new! Not that I don't love all the same ol' same ol' but finding new things to do is always fun!
