Is the upgrade from MS to PS worth it?
worldtraveller replied to boogiedownwanda's topic in Princess Cruises
Many suites have a sofa bed so no rollaway needed but you would need to confirm. Keep in mind tha once the sofa bed is out there isn't room for a rollaway in some cabins. -
While there is no fee to access the Thermal Suite suite passengers don't get free access to the Enclave (or the Sanctuary).

We had something called (I think) a Caribbean Breeze that had juices but no fizz. Also a virgin Dirty Monkey (?) with banana and chocolate.

Sorry we were in Symphony deck 5.
-
On our New Years cruise it was in the Symphony dining room located on deck 6.

We have used Eddie Manning but they are expensive. -
New to Princess : Breakfast on disembarkation day?
worldtraveller replied to kitiara's topic in Princess Cruises
On our last cruise (disembarked early January) the latest time to get off was 9:30 but they called us about 9:15. And yes one of the dining rooms was open for a relaxed breakfast with the full normal menu available. We got done too early so waited the rest of the time in our assigned lounge. -
Just be aware that you may get your regular tags for your bags before the ones for EZ-Check. Don't assume that you weren't "accepted" just because you got the regular tags. That is what happened to us; the EZ Air tags came about three hours after our regular tags. Luckily we hadn't put out our bags yet.

Flight check in and boarding pass while on board?
worldtraveller replied to PaperSniper4's topic in Princess Cruises
We got off the Regal in January. If you had purchased an internet packaging through the ship & still had minutes (Princess Plus or any other way) there was no charge to print your boarding pass in the internet cafe. Not sure if the staff had to be there or if you could do it when they weren't (he was there when we printed it off). -
Thanks so much

I have found St Thomas and Antigua but for St Lucia the one I found looks like it is a partial as it only has shopping listed not the normal guide with the little map and other basic info. So yes it would be appreciated.

Eddie Manning Transfer Service
worldtraveller replied to gunnywife's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
We used him a few years ago for transfer to Dover from London. He was on time (actually early), got our bags dropped at the port and then drove us to the castle. We plan to use him again later in the year. Found him very responsive to emails. -
We were on the Regal last week; except for one item we found the food very good (for some reason the Pina Colada soup was just bland). The meat in the surf & turf was how I wanted it and the lobster wasn't tough. Both the lamb chops and lamb shank (CC dining) were tender. My mother wasn't thrilled with the chestnut risotto but I think it was partly that she was expecting something different (her comment was it was just creamy rice).

By the way, if you have the internet package you can print your boarding pass for free on the ship. And we found getting off the ship with EzCheck very easy. When we got to the airport we got off the bus and just had to go through security at them to the gate.

I am assuming you meant EzCheck not EzAir so if the latter please ignore what I wrote.

We got off the Regal Tuesday. We checked in on-line Monday afternoon but Monday night (7ish) Princess delivered the EZCheck baggage tags and boarding passes to our cabin. Note they told us it could be as late at 10pm before we would find out if we were "accepted" for EZCheck. Because of this do NOT put out your luggage until you find out or you will have to claim your bags in the terminal. You only put the EZCheck tags on your suitcases not the other ones that they give you (you can use those for your hand bags).

Issues booking Speciality Restaurants in Medallion App
worldtraveller replied to maximusas's topic in Princess Cruises
I had a similar issue - just called Princess and they booked me -
Thanks for sending them to me Barry H. We appreciate it.

I had a great lamb shank on our cruise in August but the other lamb dishes were not very good. And sorry we love most of their cold soups!

On our recent cruise we found out that they are no longer providing printed port guides. We were told they are only available "on the app" but not all of us have phones or wish to take them off ship and sometimes a printed piece of paper for your pocket is what you want (and in some cases the port was not on the app). The front desk was able to print some off but it took three tries and the quality was poor (condensed to one page on a printer that was almost out of ink). We have some cruises coming up and wonder if anyone has any old port guides for the ports listed below they could PDF and upload? Aruba Bonaire Curacao Dominica St Lucia St Thomas Turks & Caicos Martinque Antigua La Havre (Paris) Lisbon Balbao Porta Delgado (Azores) La Coruna (Santiago de Compostela) Any and all would be appreciated! Thanks

We were on the same cruise and yes disembarkation was a mess. We got off an hour after our set time but they were still at least 30 minutes away from calling our number. Customs/Immigration was a zoo - found out later that only two officers showed up to start and later a 3rd arrived but that is no where near enough for the number of people on the ship. Then we got to the busses and NO busses were available. Waited probably 30 minutes for one to show up and then people just walked to the front of the line and got on ignoring everyone in line. The people "in charge" did nothing about it (one said, oh they know someone's grandparents as if that is a reason while another said he didn't see them do it even though they went right past him). As a result my mom missed her flight and I barely made mine. A poor way to end a very nice cruise.

How far in advance are the menus posted on the TV? Can you see your entire cruise, just that day, the next day?

Is the first photo poached eggs over Belgium waffles?

We used it all the time for my dad before he passed. They offer in for embarkation as well but we have found that sometimes you have to wait for that if you are trying to board in the first group as there are a limited number of "pushers".

Adding a Second Cruise to the Medallion App
worldtraveller replied to ROXIETHEHORSE's topic in Princess Cruises
Does your passport and other information automatically transfer or do you have to enter it again?
