Faster To The Fun - following cut and pasted from the website------------------------

CARNIVAL’S FASTER TO THE FUN PACKAGE:

    Here's what it includes:

(Note: VIFP Club Diamond & Platinum members do not need to purchase this package as these and other benefits are included as part of your VIFP Club status.)

    Priority Check-in

Bypass lines and have exclusive security screening lanes for initial embarkation at onset of cruise.

    Guaranteed Stateroom

Your stateroom will be ready as soon as you board, so you can relax or freshen up for the fun you're about to have.

    Express Luggage

Your luggage will be expedited to your stateroom so you can unpack and get settled in for a great vacation!

    Guest Services

You'll have a dedicated phone number and line at Guest Services so you can quickly have your questions answered.

    Dining Reservations

Priority Main Dining Room and Specialty Restaurant reservations (excluding Your Time Dining).

    Priority Tender Boarding

We hope you take advantage of Carnival's Excursions. If you choose to explore the destination on your own, you will have the option to choose a priority tender from the ship to shore.

    Debarkation

We're always sad to see you go. But when your cruise is over, you may choose an early or late debarkation time upon arrival to your homeport.

    NOTES

    • The price covers all occupants of the cabin so only 1 guest needs to purchase but all occupants receive the benefits. Must purchase one per stateroom when travelling companions (e.g. children and parents) are in separate staterooms.
    • Please note, there is no specific "set" time, nor a specific arrival time required... once clearance is received from Customs to start boarding, Faster to the Fun guests will board after our VIFP Club Platinum & Diamond Guests.
    • Space is Limited.
    • After purchasing Faster to the Fun package, please remember to re-print your boarding documents so Faster to Fun reflects on your documents. Have FUN!

  2. If Chris Tucker is a scheduled entertainer for the ship, undoubtedly there will be more than one concert, but I don't know if there is a schedule available until you get your FunTimes when you board. Unless they state he will only be on Nassau? Not quite sure based on your post.

The casinos and shops are typically closed when the ship is in *any* port. You can do what you want at any port as long as you get back to the ship on time at the end of the day. You don't have to book your excursions through Carnival, a lot of people do it for the security of "they won't leave me behind".

  3. I decided not to purchase the carnival gift cards for my upcoming cruise in December 2017. Our cruise is already paid off and if I just bought 2 of the $100 gifts cards I'm only saving $10 bucks on each card. Not really that much of a savings. I'll just use my credit card with my Sail & Sign card.

It adds up! I saved $250 on a $2500 suite, works for me!

Is there a limit to how may gift cards you can use to pay off your cruise? The highest amount Verizon has is $500.

You can use as many as you need or want to. I find myself with small balances on a card at times and go to the website and pay down a cruise. The option to pay with a gift card repeatedly appears :D

  4. I got super excited a couple of days ago when they finally opened up a whole slew of excursions for our Alaska trip next year. As I was reading through them I would click on favorite on the ones that seemed interesting. I went back today to look at some and the count at the top says favorites 0! So how do the favorites on the Carnival site work? Did I need to hit save or something? I obviously was signed in because I was looking for our specific Cruise.

If you clicked on the heart and it turned red, it "should" have been saved in your favorites.....

  5. When I sailed the Vista over Thanksgiving, anytime diners had to check in somewhere on deck 5, and then go to the anytime dining room in the aft of the ship. There was much grumbling about the procedure, first of its kind on Carnival.

It's possible Vista has heard the grumbling and changed, and it's also possible it's still the same. Any recent Vista cruisers want to let us know the latest?????

Doesn't look like those already posting haven't sailed Vista, so they don't know about this. They are posting about Carnival ATD from their experience, which may or may not relate to Vista.

This wasn't the case when I was on the Vista in February, but it was on the Miracle last October. I waited in line about 20 minutes, only to be told I didn't have to because I had reached platinum status.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

  6. How do those Carnival Cruise gift cards work? I'm going on the Fascination Dec 3, 2017 if they are changing after Novmber 2017 will the ones purchased now work on my cruise in December 2017?

The gift cards have no expiration date. You can use them to pay for your cruise, online purchases, and to apply to your shipboard account on embarkation day.

  7. Are you priority or do you have Faster To The Fun? Usually if you have provided Carnival with your early flight departure time, they will place you in some of the first groups to disembark. I have gotten off the ship as early as 7am, but there are so many variables it's hard to predict how things will go on any given disembark day. Usually the Customs lines flow quickly and smoothly.

  8. Agreed... very yummy food porn! But that one is on the Breeze. I'm wondering about the Glory. :)

I understand, but it should be fleet-wide by now since it's been a full year since it debuted on the Vista.....I wish there was a definitive schedule somewhere!

  9. Yes, you have to either purchase a day pass (I think it is $40 per guest) and a day pass has to be purchased on the ship. You can pre-purchase a week pass, rates start at $119 for a 5 day cruise and go up for each day longer.

The spa pass is 15% cheaper if you pre-purchase online :D

  10. 1st time cruise. I'm disabled, and usually bring my scooter for vacations because I can't walk long distances. I am fine walking around the room, and since I'll be with a friend/caretaker I don't need an accessible bathroom or shower or anything along those lines.

We weren't able to get an accessible room, and honestly I don't need one and I'd feel guilty taking it from someone who did -- when I travel alone I DO need accessibility and it's so frustrating seeing able bodied people in an accessible room when I can't get one.

Anyway, my concern is the scooter. All I need to do is be able to bring it into the cabin overnight. I don't need to ride it in the cabin at all. Is that possible in a regular room? We're on the Carnival Ecstasy in an oceanview room. If need be, my travel companion can break down the scooter and carry it into the cabin, and lean the pieces upright in the closet. That's what we'll do if we have to. It would just be easier to fit it through the door.

I'm a tiny person and it's a small 3-wheel scooter -- 21" width. Does anyone know if I'l be able to wheel it in through the door and put it somewhere that won't be directly in our path from the bed to the bathroom? Or will we definitely need to break it down every time?

You didn't mention when you cruise is? IMO it would be worth calling Carnival to ask if there are ANY accessible cabins available. Anyone who books an HC room that doesn't need it is notified that they might be moved if there was a need when the booking is made. I know for a fact that it happens because I was moved from one a few cruises ago. They might have changed their policy regarding booking HC cabins, I don't know if it can be done online any more.
