Thanks for the info - I was wondering if you can remember the name of the station where you had to change trains from one line to another before reaching Vila Nova Gaia - would hate to get off at the wrong station

On our Med cruise we opted for a sunset cabin & found there was very little shade on the veranda & for most of the time we weren't able to sit outside. We were on deck 9 - so not really overlooked. The only other thing that wasn't ideal was that every day there was soot on the veranda and on the chairs. I know a lot of people love the SV cabins but they aren't for us so will be booking a regular cabin for our next cruise.

Is there anything to see in Vigo without doing a tour? We've wandered around the main shopping area but not found anything else - are we missing something?

What is the best way to get to Porto from Leixoes, there will be 6 of us? We dock at 9am & depart at 5pm Any suggestions on what to do & see would also be appreciated. There is one person in our party who although mobile at 84yrs won't be able to do long treks.

We usually book sailings on S class ships but would like to try an E class ship for a change Other than sunset cabins are there any Non suite cabins that have normal type balconies instead of Infinite cabins.

Just off the Silhouette yesterday (30th) -all staff still wearing mask. According to the Captain 2% of passengers had come down with Covid on the cruise

She was an amazing lady & Queen. she even carried out her royal duties right up until the end. It is a very sad day

I think your 9.55 flight is too risky in June we had a 11.30 flight to the UK & we self disembarked at 0645 - we were one of the 1st to disembark. We had pre booked a private transfer & got to the airport business class check in desk with plenty of time but getting through security & immigration was a nightmare. You may strike lucky but it is a big gamble for such an early flight P.S it was on a Monday From what I have heard it will take even longer for US departures

My last cruise was in June. Our flight home to the UK was 11.30. We booked a private transfer to FCO using Civitavecchia Cabs. For your early flight you will need to self disembark the ship - I seem to recall you can disembark around 0630 - it only takes a few minutes to get to the arrivals hall Our cab was booked for 0645 It took us around 45 mins to get to FCO then you have to queue up to check in. May be we were unlucky but getting through security was chaotic with long queues - we found it stressful! Hopefully you will make your 10am flight ok but personally the worry would add to my collection of grey hairs.

We are sailing out of Southampton next month - DH will be taking his DJ.

On many cruises I have taken my steamer & never been to the naughty room - having said that I have only ever used it once so next cruise I will leave it behind. If anything is a bit creased I just hang the clothing in the bathroom with the shower on & the steam form the shower usually works wonders

The same thing happened to us we are both Elite & DH had Pearl on his express pass & I didn't. We don't go to the Casino so it couldn't be the reason.

We have just returned from a Rome cruise - we self disembarked. We went straight to the gangway around 0645 and it only took 5 mins to get out and meet our driver who we had booked for 0700 If you are going at 0730 then you will be disembarking with others who aren't self disembarking

I just downloaded a photo of our Covid Innoculation cards & they were accepted. It took a few weeks to be validated but that seems to be normal

We did the same on our recent Reflection cruise but not many people did. Even doing that we still caught Covid

We tested Positive the day we returned (13th) from the cruise & still are Positive! My DH is feeling fine even thought positive, he was double boosted but I am feeling really poorly - Chesty, Queasy & Exhausted - I only had 1 booster so not sure if that made any difference!

The only slight hitch with using a Celebrity transfer is that you will have to wait until the coach is full. Our flight leaves at 1130 so we have opted for a private car (0700hrs) to take us to the airport & we will self disembark. It costs 119 Euros for the 2 of us which is probably cheaper than the Celebrity transfer and far more convenient

On disembarking do we have to go through immigration at Civitavecchia
