  1. @kazu,Jacqui, thank you for allowing us to attend the service for Jose. It was moving and especially so when you spoke. Thank you
  2. Good morning to all.It is a bright sunny day here and going up to the sixties. I consulted with my executive chef and she votes for the Italian bean and greens soup.It is similar to our pasta and beans dish but this time we will use different beans. The instapot magically makes us dinner in no time. @StLouisCruisers,Sandi, I enjoy "Call the Midwife" also.I had watched all of the previous seasons with Tana during our late nights and got totally hooked. Cinco de Mayo is well cebrated around here. Our across the street neighbor owns a restaurant and brought over enchiladas and burritos for us on Saturday night. He said people have returned only minimally to indoor dining and take out remains the bigger part of their business. He told us he expected a busy day today. My prayers continue for Jacqui and Jose and their families during this most difficult time. Terry
  3. I am sorry to hear your DH is in the hospital but glad he participates in therapy. I hope the progress will be evident soon.
  4. @ger_77,Gerry, I am sorry both you and DH are not feeling well.I hope you both improve soon. @Quartzsite Cruiser,Lenda,Yes, we took no new findings as good news also. She told me this morning that it was good to see cars, buildings and people!
  5. Good morning everyone. Biking to school would have been very dangerous but I am glad some children are able to do that. The local birds gather every evening at dusk in a huge oak tree across the street. DH and I have started sitting on our outdoor steps with the dogs to watch the gathering. We have been to the port while on the best cruise ever with DD and DSIL.We went on a catamaran whale watch and then toured the lovely streets. Debbie @dfish,thank you for the recipes. We are trying number rwo with the beans and greens. Tana got very tired with her busy day yesterday. The ambulance people did a good job.Nothing new was noted at the doctor's office so we will continue to plod along here. I am grateful that she was able to get out of the house, even briefly. It was a nice sunny day as well. Terry
  6. Good morning everyone. It looks like a nice sunny day already. I will salute all teachers and especially DS today. Not sure about the carpets. We have a small backyard garden area that is nice to sit in but I never tried to meditate. The recipes look good, thanks Debbie @dfish, I hope you enjoy your quilting retreat.Tana wanted to try the first recipe but we will use chicken. She is going by ambulance to the pulmonoligist today. They say they can manage the wheelchair and the front steps.Oh my.I hope so! I am going with her as well. Two heads are better than one sometimes. Terry
  7. @cat shepard,Ann,I am thinking if you as you take care of things for your cousin. Extra prayers at this difficult time for you and your family. @Lady Hudson,I am sorry to hear of your DSIL's setback.Sending prayers her way as well.
  8. We both seem to have eyes shut when photographed ha ha
  9. Good morning to all.I have one remaining DB who also has been on cruises with us.Our older DB was a rock for both of us as we went through childhood and we always remember him fondly.Melanoma Day is important and I have always liked tuna. I picked up around the house earlier in anticipation of the cleaning people coming today.Tana thought it was very funny.I have always done everything myself, mostly because I can be a tad ridiculous about how things are done.I will try to keep my mouth shut today and just enjoy not vacuuming, dusting and mopping. We still have to plan dinner but I have to get to the store first.I would like the recipe but a certain teenager will not be enthused. My prayers today continue for all of you but especially @kazu, Jacqui and Jose. Terry picture of my DB wearing a sweater made by our Mom
  10. @kazu,Jacqui, my condolences and prayers for you both.
  11. My post ran away.I will summarize as well: DS and family went home Saturday but before they left DS engaged a cleaning service for me.He could see how much work is involved with Tana now. My family always offered this before but know I am very picky about how cleaning is done......I was very happy to try this for once Also Ptayers remain foremost for Jose and Jacqui today Terry
