In my experience in Europe, Diners Club is virtually unknown, Discover is useless, and merchants hate American Express (even in the US) because their processing fees are higher than VISA or MasterCard.

There are lots of sharks in the Caribbean. Swimming with pigs who poop in the water is one of the last things on earth I would want to do. -

The OP asled about weddings ON BOARD the ship. Only SYMBOLIC weddings or vow renewals take place on board.

It's NOT possible. They have to get married either before or after the cruise.

In 2015 I was frequently offered a discount in Italy if I paid in cash, and an even greater discount if I didn't want a receipt (which usually meant the proprietor had no intention of declaring the income). It was an interesting moral dilemma....and could conceivably lead to an unpleasant involvement with the Guardia di Finanza.

Do NOT take a taxi (very expensive since you will be crossing state lines). If you can. fly into Newark (EWR) instead.

Fill your tank. I got trapped in North Miami in 2005 for several days because there was no power to the gas stations that had not been destroyed. -
You can get Hepatitis A anywhere you eat, even in the U.S. I am told that Hepatitis B is harder to get, unless you have sex with someone who is infected. Typhoid I know nothing about---consult your doctor. And yes, my wife and I were advised by our doctor to get vaccinated against Hepatitis A before our week-long land vacation in the DR.

Good point. My wife and I were in Paris in 2015 just before the Bataclan massacre, and all seemed very calm. Then it wasn't. -
