Wipeout Cafe is a nice option also especially with younger kids and you can sit outside.
Wipeout is a good choice with little ones..less folks and kid friendly choices.

I believe there are 3 or 4 but one has the safe I think. There is also a shelf over the 2 racks I the closet.

Hmmm...I think we stood and waited, but maybe we had a pager while standing and waiting. :)

I did. Since, we only went on Allure, it was spot on. ;p

I have never been on Jewel so can’t help there. I think the biggest differences I found:
1. Decor more subtle on RCI
2. More food choices( not for pay) on Carnival
3. More Entertainment choices (shows) on RCI (liberty and allure)
4. The best dessert: Carnival’s chocolate melting cake 😈
Have fun!

We had an ocean view balcony on deck 10 (I think) in Feb. it was perfect as we had a midship cabin. We like seeing the sea/ocean on a cruise and ports.
Have fun planning! It’s a great ship for families with teens. My 18 yr old ds loved it.

I don’t recall amenities on RCI on my last 3 cruises. I do recall the shower combo option.
Thanks for the review and glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise.

Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed your cruise!

Fun thread..
1) What is it about cruising that keeps you cruising?
We like to cruise in winter to get away from the snow and cold. It gives us more options than an all inclusive as we like to have some activity.
2) Where did you go after the Caribbean?
Bermuda, NE/Canada
3) Do you also integrate land trips with cruising?
We do land trips but not combined with a cruise. I may be in the minority but a 7 day cruise(with pre/post days) is pushing my time away from home.

Downtown Cozumel has several places including Starbucks. If you take an excursion to the mainland, the ferry has WiFi.
-
I have a really hard time sliding the door without the lock. If your ds is worried, he should consider a room without a balcony. Have fun on your family cruise! Cruising is perfect for large groups.

I’ve always just had porter put on at port for RCI. However, our luggage never seems to end up at our cabin. My new tags from amazon arrive tomorrow. :)

That is impressive Merion’s mom. I know I couldn’t do that many days on a cruise ship.

You can spend several hours at the aquarium right next to the cruise terminals. They will store your luggage for free.
We did this years ago when my boys were pretty young. There is also some shopping/ places to eat right at port. We had torrential downpours so just headed to airport after aquarium.
Enjoy!

Happy Anniversary! We board on 1/14. Enjoy your cruise!

I check RCI site. TA’s don’t usually honor other TA prices/ OBC.
If you have refundable deposit, you can cancel and book somewhere else if better rewards.

I’m a big ABBA fan. While others love this show and think it broadway quality, I could have skipped. :(

You posted at 6:38 about not having breakfast options at 7 am. I’ve had egg white and veggie omelet option on liberty and allure. I don’t see this as an unusual demand to those commenting. I hope you enjoyed your omelette.

This will be our first cruise on Royal, wondering what the dress code is on formal night, would we be ok in a semi formal wear? Like a nice sin dress for myself and pants with a button down shirt for the boys?
Yes it’s range of wear partciualry on cruises less than 7 days.

Congrats! Sounds like an incredible trip.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Looking forward to our turn on the Navigator. :)

Thank you for the great pics! While we are on the 5 day, the pics of Eagle Beach may be the push to book a trip to Aruba.

DH and I got pretty sick after our cruise in February. DH got sick last 2 day s with flu like symptoms. I started 3 days after the cruise and it lingered for months with various rounds. Our ds was fine! I’m not sure if we will do anything different. We will definitely relax more as it’s just DH and I on this cruise. We shall see.
Bit of advice requested re cabin and what deckto choose

On Allure, we had an OV balcony on deck 10. It was perfect location. It was closer to midship, elevators, and stairs. We tend to take stairs so really worked in location to Central Park, boardwalk, pool decks, etc..
