  1. We recently stayed at Cambria in Dania beach. Clean, new, and airport shuttle.. we took Uber to port. It was about $10. We have also stayed at spring hill suites. It included cruise and airport shuttle. Hyatt Place is great as well. We did a post cruise there. The shuttle is not 24 hours though. Happy sailing!

  2. We did it on Allure 3 weeks ago. We really enjoyed it and our table mates were somewhat blah. :) We did not do the combos which are $45 vs $39 for 1 meat. The $39 includes edimame, rice, veggies, meat, and a dessert. I found they give a lot of food. We did order sushi, app, and I believe beer for DH which was extra.

    Have fun!

  3. So, just a little update for those who care. Probably none of you 😂 DD suggested the 8-day Eastern Caribbean on FOS because, obviously 5 days isn't enough. I told her, good luck convincing your dad to do that! Well, she didn't need luck at all. He went for it! He thought, and I agree, the ports seem so much better. Couldn't get a suite but we have a neat setup with a balcony connecting to an inside room for the kids. I'm still going to keep my eyes peeled for a suite to open up but as it stands, this trip is $50 less than Indy and I managed to score another $100 in OBC. 😁

;p:hearteyes: I'm looking at that ship for the 8 day. Are you going the feb break week?

  4. It seems like booking 2 connecting cabins would really add to the price, no? I can say that in the suite category on Allure a few weeks ago I never waited in a line for anything (except Park cafe but that was my fault for going when I did). We were on and off the ship in 10 minutes. That's what made me think I'd try convincing DH to go next year. It worked ;)

We were on Allure in an OV balcony and had no wait to get on or off ship either. I wouldn't use that a measure necessarily. I would book 2 cabins for 4. I did that on our last Liberty cruise as both our boys went. We had an OV balcony and they got a Promenade across the hall. It worked really well. THey were 20 and 15 then.

  5. There are so many options on the larger ships. We did breakfasts on 2 port days due to early excursion. There were No issues finding seats at 7 AM. On departure day, we went at about 7:30. It was busy but we found a table pretty quickly. For dinner, we went a couple of nights with no real issues finding a table. I never went at lunch but ds did and didn't find issues at 11:30-12. THe on,y day we with issues was boarding day but we went to wipeout cafe with no wait. We were on Allure.

  6. We were in an oceanview balcony on deck 10 recently. THere was no clothesline. There was a hook in the shower, but tight. I did reuse bathing suits. I put on deck chair on balcony to dry. We worked out pretty much every day but took clothes for those days. We found ourselves wearing workout clothes during day on sea days if not in sun. We took less types of other clothes.

  7. RCI is very similar to Carnival in product overall. The major differences are: more subdued ships on RCI and more fun passenger atmosphere on Carnival.

I think you will enjoy very much. I wouldn't do speciality on a 4 day unless possibly celebrating a special occassion. Formal night is the same as in Carnival as far as attire. We saw everything from shirts to tuxes/ gowns on our recent cruise.

    Have fun!
