  1. To be honest with you, I really don't find the lobster that tasty!! We've been on 2 cruises and both times I was disappointed in what they called lobster tails!

That’s because it’s warm water lobster vs cold water lobster like we have in New England. I can’t recall the last time we made it to MDR for lobster night or seafood place whatever they call it now.

  2. Confirming that Surf is $12.99/day and Surf & Stream is $17.99/day. But the service has definitely been slow and unreliable at times.

The All-Access Tour is $89/person and on this sailing it’s scheduled for Day 8 at 10:00, approximately 2 hours in duration. It will always be on a sea day and I suspect they’ll stick to it being late in the cruise. I did the tour on Oasis when it took about 3.5 hours. Not sure how they’ve shortened it or if they’ve omitted any parts of the longer version.

Thank you. Right now, it is scheduled for the first sea day with 3 different times. Enjoy your cruise!

  3. A couple of questions as I don’t see prices listed on compass:

    1. Is the surf only available and is that $12.99 a day? The surf and stream is listed on our cruise planner as $14.39 per day. We don’t stream so am willing to go with surf only.

    2. Any idea how much the all access tour is? It’s listed on cruise planner for our upcoming cruise as $89 pp.

    Thank you!

  4. We have been once, I wanted to do some type of activity preferably zipline to break up day, My ds just wanted to relax. We walked to Columbus Cove(you can avoid the artisan market by taking A marked path). It was very crowded and not very relaxing. I should have listened to DH and stayed on ship. We were one Allure during NY and New England Feb break. Lots of folks were taking advantage of the beach day so might not be the same on other sailings?

  5. On Allure, we did 3 nights in speciality, 1 night in MDR( 1 st formal), and then whatever. We tend to like to relax and not worry about meals. On the larger ships, the numerous options make it easier.

On our upcoming cruise, we are doing Izumi on the last sea day. It’s my birthday. :) The hot stone and sushi are fun. I don’t care for Italian or the idea of the chefs table. We just did chops in February. It was good but could take it or leave it. I think it depends on who is cruising and what you want to experience.

  6. We found it well organized. They had enough people going to Allure that they gave us a separate vehicle, so we didn't have to go to another ship first.

Same experience with springhill Suites a few years ago. We have also stayed at Cambria but breakfast and shuttle to port not included. We just did Uber which was under $9 for the 3 of us. Shuttle from airport was included. I’ve also stayed at Hyatt Place after the cruise near embassy. Breakfast is included and airport shuttle.

Cambria Suites is brand new and there are 2 others right next door which hadn’t even opened when we were there in February, Hyatt Place is very well kept and not outdated at all.
