To be honest with you, I really don't find the lobster that tasty!! We've been on 2 cruises and both times I was disappointed in what they called lobster tails!
That’s because it’s warm water lobster vs cold water lobster like we have in New England. I can’t recall the last time we made it to MDR for lobster night or seafood place whatever they call it now.

Confirming that Surf is $12.99/day and Surf & Stream is $17.99/day. But the service has definitely been slow and unreliable at times.
The All-Access Tour is $89/person and on this sailing it’s scheduled for Day 8 at 10:00, approximately 2 hours in duration. It will always be on a sea day and I suspect they’ll stick to it being late in the cruise. I did the tour on Oasis when it took about 3.5 hours. Not sure how they’ve shortened it or if they’ve omitted any parts of the longer version.

Thank you. Right now, it is scheduled for the first sea day with 3 different times. Enjoy your cruise!

Leave the towels home. You can simply pick up and drop off on deck.

PRetty typical salad bar....it’s ok.

A couple of questions as I don’t see prices listed on compass:
1. Is the surf only available and is that $12.99 a day? The surf and stream is listed on our cruise planner as $14.39 per day. We don’t stream so am willing to go with surf only.
2. Any idea how much the all access tour is? It’s listed on cruise planner for our upcoming cruise as $89 pp.
Thank you!

I think we are going to take advantage of the weekend sale on Chops for our upcoming sailing. We have Izumi reserved for the last night(my birthday and Choice :)). I did reserve MTD for formal night on day 2, but not tied to it. Is Chops busy on formal night?

My favorite dish on Explorer was at Chops, an appetizer salad with fried goat cheese and either pear or apple slices. I don't eat steak, so next time I think I might order another one as an entree too!
That was my favorite at Chops on Allure. I was hesitant because I don’t care for walnuts but just left on plate. It was delicious!

We have been once, I wanted to do some type of activity preferably zipline to break up day, My ds just wanted to relax. We walked to Columbus Cove(you can avoid the artisan market by taking A marked path). It was very crowded and not very relaxing. I should have listened to DH and stayed on ship. We were one Allure during NY and New England Feb break. Lots of folks were taking advantage of the beach day so might not be the same on other sailings?

We did Chops, Sabor, and Izumi. Izumi was the best food wise for us.

Hoping for the price of voom on my sailing to go down less then $14! Got it for $12 on my last sailing
Same here! On our last cruise, we picked up for $9.

Looking forwarded to live report as we are on board in less than 2 months!

We rented a car near port with drop off at airport. It allowed us to do whatever we wanted. We did water taxi to Los Olas and then watched ships leave. Easy day!

Great review! Thanks for taking the time from your vacation to post.

WE rented a few years ago. It was a nice relaxing day.

Interesting to see the cliff walk, Breakers, and Newport from a visiotr’s perspective. We live about 20 minutes from Newport. :) Did you get to do Ocean Drive? Curious to see your Boston pictures and review as we are 50 minutes south of the city.

We have completed waivers for Liberty and Allure for previous cruises. For upcoming Navigator cruise, it is not an option in cruise planner.

Popped up as an excursion choice today for our upcoming cruise. Is there a charge at this port now?
-
Both times we were on LOS, premade sandwiches were available in windjammer. However, we went over 3 years ago. Cafe promenade also has sandwiches.

Weather is hit or miss. This year, spring was very rainy. I live in New England. I hope you enjoy.

I don’t understand this. If you want room service, pay the charge. If you don’t want room service, then eat your food in the place it is served/available.

On Allure, we did 3 nights in speciality, 1 night in MDR( 1 st formal), and then whatever. We tend to like to relax and not worry about meals. On the larger ships, the numerous options make it easier.
On our upcoming cruise, we are doing Izumi on the last sea day. It’s my birthday. :) The hot stone and sushi are fun. I don’t care for Italian or the idea of the chefs table. We just did chops in February. It was good but could take it or leave it. I think it depends on who is cruising and what you want to experience.
-
We found it well organized. They had enough people going to Allure that they gave us a separate vehicle, so we didn't have to go to another ship first.
Same experience with springhill Suites a few years ago. We have also stayed at Cambria but breakfast and shuttle to port not included. We just did Uber which was under $9 for the 3 of us. Shuttle from airport was included. I’ve also stayed at Hyatt Place after the cruise near embassy. Breakfast is included and airport shuttle.
Cambria Suites is brand new and there are 2 others right next door which hadn’t even opened when we were there in February, Hyatt Place is very well kept and not outdated at all.

Isn't still Mamma Mia?

Voom went from $14.95 per day yesterday to $14.35 per day today on our upcoming January 14 sailing. The deluxe has been $41 pp for a few weeks. Refreshment went back to $18 per day from $26. However, same thing happened a couple of weeks ago and picked up then. Im just hoping VOOM decreases. If not, no big deal.
Navigator to the airport time??

When booking our flights for January, I asked same on here but flight was before 11. I was told risky particularly with traffic in Miami. Airport isn’t as close as say FLL. We went with an after 12 flight.
