  1. And taking the rest of us along with you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  2. We did the return trip last year in May. Our first Alaska trip (from Australia). After weighing up all the pros and cons, inc should we do land portion etc, I came to the conclusion that I could see great countryside, mountains etc here in Australia, but I would never see all the glaciers and magnificent scenery that is Alaska. So we did the return trip. yes we stopped at the same 3 ports but that was huge benefit as so much to do in each one it meant we could see more. it was the trip of a lifetime! The BEST place we have ever gone too.
  3. You sure are 😁😁😁 happy Christmas to you too
  4. Us too 😁 doing Mediterranean adventure B2B with France & Spain April 25 which is tagged on the end of visiting family in UK. i looked at the 26 circumnavigation but it’s showing very full, so I’ll just do these trips first then come back to it (we leave one week tomorrow for Christmas in capetown South Africa 😁😁😁🥰
  5. For us, who live in Australia, it is such a “vast “Island” that though it might be in lots of bucket lists, going “round” Australia often stays just that, a dream. So for me when my late husband died at far too young an age, it became something that would never happen. Now years later and married to Frank (16 years now) having both lost our spouses to cancer (and only meeting after they had died), travel appeared on the horizon. But it was never going to be the ultimate road trip especially at our ages. So we discovered cruising in 2011 and love it. The opportunity to circumnavigate, to travel all the way round this vast island was a “no brainer”. The huge diversity is so evident when you do the trip in a month instead of a year. I appreciate you only scratch the surface of this beautiful land, but you get to enjoy the beautiful cities, the red dirt of the “top end”, the amazing coast line, excursions to beautiful beaches, massive termite mounds in the Northern Territory, waterfalls in out back places. I will happily redo this cruise as there is so much to see and do in every place.
  6. We used Qantas annual insurance for my husband 2023. Though we are Aussies, I wonder if it’s worth asking as they trigger to the country you’re in whenever I ask about flight in another country??? Might just work? They were excellent btw paying a claim promptly when we had to change travel dates due to daughters medical condition.
  7. His 85th birthday celebrated Syd to NZ last March 😁
  8. Frank will be 86 next March, with perfect health and fitness but the birth certificate gives it away 🤣🤣🤣
  9. I use my credit card insurance but don’t cover over 80 years. I’m going to look at round Aus though it’s a way off 😁 I’d like my front dob
  10. We’d be very happy to do round OZ again. Loved it.
  11. Covermore does as long as you want for single trip. We had Qantas annual policy for Frank 2023. Any days over the 45 day stipulation for them in annual policy you just had take a an add on single policy for those days.
  12. After trying the deluxe obstructed balcony right at front of ship for only couple hundred more than inside, it would be what I go for every time now. I’m positive you’d have to get in first day or so
  13. We currently have insurance for two trips we’re doing Dec 24 and Mar 25, no cruise with first trip but b2b 21 days Mediterranean after March family visit. so cruise is not listed in the quote I triggered (all with covermore).
  14. Congrats 😁 I did a brief look! Cos going to Alaska via cruise (no flights) would be awesome. Then initial look at insurance for Frank!!!! $9975!!! I don’t think it’s going to happen 😣
  15. I don’t even mind flying Sydney from me to sail out of the harbour than Melbourne lol
  16. Today’s the day at last! Have the best cruise 🥰🥰
  17. I identify to many portions of your report! I arrive at airport 3 hrs ahead for international flights, we live 45 mins from airport (Melbourne) so I don’t trust traffic at all so allow excessive time lol. id rather sit three hrs at airport with a coffee than stress in traffic 😁
  18. Happy cruising and thanks for taking us all along with you 😁
