We were in 40-50mph winds and rough seas on our way back from Canada to NYC and it was surprisingly good! You definitely feel more movement at the bow of the ship but I've experienced much worse on other Princess ships. You get more pitching than rolling (which I hate).

Incredible. Best Club Class minis and balcony cabins on the ship! We've had L-107, M-108 and have M-108 again soon for a long cruise. We always have to book them FAR in advance (like when cruises are released) and the price rarely ever goes down. It's such a small group of cabins that they sell out quickly. You're lucky you got one! We've never been told we couldn't be out on the balcony. At night, we keep our curtains closed so the light doesn't bother the navigators on the bridge.

Thank you. We'll be staying there pre-cruise then stopping again with the ship so maybe we'll check out prices there, then compare to a few other places and buy when we stop again there if their prices are better. Thanks again.

Where is the best place to buy black pearls in Tahiti and the Marquesas? I don't want a full strand of pearls, probably just a single pearl with matching earrings. Are prices better in Tahiti or Moorea or where? A bigger store or a smaller one? Thanks for the help.

The smaller ships like Radiance Class, etc. use the old locks I believe because they can fit through them. The larger ships have to use the new locks.

It's on another line, but yes, the cruise ships use the NEW locks. For the old locks, going from FLL to LAX, you want to be on the port side. For LAX-FLL, the starboard side. Otherwise, you're just looking at jungle for portions of it.

In Panama Canal's NEW locks, which side is best for viewing going from LAX to FL. I know which side is best for the OLD locks, but is it the same for the new ones? Thanks for the help.

What would you recommend we do for the approximately 4 hours we will have to wait from the time our plane arrives (5:00am) to about 9:00am when the ferry leaves for Moorea? We'll have all our luggage with us and that's what's throwing me for a loop. Any help is appreciated.

-As an Oceania newbie, I too was confused about the OLife amenities. From what I learned on this forum, it is generally more advantageous to you to go with the shore excursions amenity. You can choose the tours that aren't marked as "OS" Select. In our case, we chose 3 tours that came to $579 per person x 2 = $1158. That's a heck of a lot better than the $600 total OBC. There were a good amount of tours to choose from for us, but that will depend on your itinerary. So if you're going to a destination where you know you'll be happy with cruise line tours, this is the best option. -You will get a credit for the airfare, which is what we did too since their bus. class air was $2,400 more per person that what I could get on my own.

That was my question as well. If you're on a Saturday AM, barring any CalTrans road work, you should be fine getting to LAX. You should get there with plenty of time to spare. It took us 45 mins. last week when we left at 10:15am on a week day which usually has much heavier traffic than on a weekend.

My DH can sleep standing up so if he isn’t walking, he’s asleep. 😂

Yes. No luck. We’ve learned to go with cabins in the very aft or fore of the ship.

DH - 7:30pm-ish 😁 Me-11:00pm-12:00am or later if people are obnoxiously loud in the hallways or adjacent cabins.
