Great cabin! Thank you for sharing.

Princess, Princess, Princess.....unless you plan to stay drunk, join the hairy chest contest and eat burgers for 6 days.....then go with Carnival....just very different experiences.
-
Great review! Can't wait for more as we are doing same itinerary March 6/16.
-
Going on the Breeze in March. We have early traditional dining....can we make comedy show? What time do you need to line up to get seats?
-
I submitted a form last week for Breeze 3/6 and had it approved and OBC on account within 20 minutes....have $175 OBC this way so far.
-
Having sailed on both ships...I would avoid the Splendor. It is an ugly ship and really didn't like atmosphere...crew seemed overworked and unhappy.
-
Hint....don't be dissuaded by the numerous staff who will try to direct you to the buffet. On Crown in July even the agent at checkin mentioned it (we didn't ask one person, they just kept telling us to go to the buffet once onboard). We got to the dining room and once again were asked if we were looking for the buffet. I said "No, we are looking for the dining room lunch that is open until 1:30" (it was then 12:15) and then they led us right in but if I had not sailed Princess before and known about it, I certainly would have ended up in the long, long, long buffet line.

I do like them.
Cleaner. Less noisy (especially in a large dining room). Also a little more elegant and different from everyday restaurants.
-
Didn't realize about the table cloths disappearing...anyone know about Breeze? On formal nights as well?
-
Two chairs. Two footstools and a table.
No loungers and all of the caribe balconies we have been in (Ruby, Crown, Caribbean) only sleep two so have never had to ask for more.
-
If people like it great! Go and enjoy!
But the point is that it has already reduced the professional entertainment onboard (Crown in July) and therefore reduces the choices for those of us not interested in "reality TV/school variety show" type activities. It is not in addition to offerings but seems to be replacing current options. The entertainment is something that cruise lines promote as part of the overall cruise experience. It is disappointing.....not the end of the world and no one here has said that.
-
Are you and I the only ones who recall that? The entertainment has already been cut, replaced by activities and parties led by the (cheaper to hire) entertainment staff and our fellow (performing for free) passengers. I don't for a second that introducing The Voice is going to change that trend.
No. You are not the only ones to notice. We found a huge change on the Crown in July. Some nights no real entertainment at all!
And again...the concern is that these types of activities are replacing others so limiting choices.
-
We wanted to keep track of kids too but didn't find them very helpful.
For $5 pp for the entire cruise you can just text each other on board using the new system.
-
We have always had fttf on Carnival. For me just getting into your cabin right away is worth it!
On my second Carnival cruise DH was like "Why do we need that? There are never any lines and the cabin is always ready." I informed him that was because we had fttf and never waited for cabin, to board, debark, tender, guest services etc. He didn't realize how much was affected by that $60.

Early Saver is good until 2 days before sailing. Last year I had to submit the form after final payment before they would talk to me at all and now they are telling you to call....urghhhh!!.
Inconsistent. I hate that it is so unorganized.
-
Yes. That is my concern. They seem to be instead of the regular entertainment and not in addition to ship shows.
If people like them, great! But it seemed on the Crown there were fewer entertainment options because these events were going on.
-
We did a boat blast, snorkel, all inclusive beach thing on Carnival that was great! Would recommend if Princess does that. It was Uvero Beach I think.
-
Ughh! Wouldn't mind if it didn't seem to be instead of, not in addition to, other entertainment.
-
So....Princess seems to be going with more and more passenger game show, singing, variety show entertaining. On our recent cruise to Alaska they seem to have cut back on evening activities and replaced them with these. It is like bad reality TV has come to cruise with you!
Personally I can't think of anything I would be less interested in (well maybe the Carnival Hairy Chest contests:) ).
Opinions? Perhaps I am in the minority and people are just clamoring to get on a Princess ship to see "the marriage game" or passenger karaoke and "so you think you have talent" events??

I often find fare viewer not great and use the mock booking instead. When you get to the rate page on the mock booking make sure to click the "more options" button under the first rate they show you....often those fares are better because of upgrades etc....and rates can change from day to day so check often.
Have an awesome cruise!!
-
Just do a mock booking, take a screen shot of the rate on the last page before the payment page and use that for your price match.
-
Not sure what you mean? Are you saying that none of the rooms show up?
-
Yes. I agree. I always give them every possible detail in the comments section and have gotten at least $200 in price drops on every cruise (except the one to Alaska this spring).
I have often had to submit the form and or call multiple times because you sometimes get someone who doesn't know what you are talking about.
Again, glad to get the price drops:)
-
I have four rooms booked. The first three were accepted on the first try within minutes.
The fourth room was rejected three times with an obvious automatic rejection letter that states " the rates advertised are more expensive than the rates on the booking" even though this was not the case.
I sent a screen shot to the e-mail provided each time. This morning I got an apology and the requested price drop.
I am simply frustrated to have to resubmit, call or e-mail to get the price drops and feel that these automatic rejections are not good customer service.
Still happy to get the price drop and happy to be cruising but the form seems to be an extra and inefficient step.
Anything I should know about having a balcony cabin?

You will love it! Having access to outside space at any time is wonderful!
