Some folks are just unclear on a concept that is not new. Some folks are just not happy unless they have something to complain about.

I believe it is relatively new for Princess.  It would seem quite a few frequent cruisers are now surprised by it.

Well, there is a guideline about "inappropriate" language, so better safe than sorry, I guess.

I dont believe the word pornography, or porn for short, is inappropriate language.

Does anybody think about the poor lobsters, trying to open a jar of pickles with just one claw?  Of course they don’t.

(yes, the cold seafood display (especially on ships with Café Caribe) was a thing of wonder)

Everyone knows lobster do not eat pickles.

I figure since these cruise staff, mostly not from the US, would appreciate something to remember a place where the cruise ship had been & can attach it to their wall in their stateroom but according to your remarks I guess I’m wrong. I follow one cruise member who puts postcards on her wall to remember where she has been.

I think, Tom, that most here know that crew members are mostly four to a tiny room, and its quite crowded.  Personal belongings are kept to a minimum for each of them.

    Salads

Vegetarian menus (sometimes, depends what they're cooked and seasoned with)

    Indian menu

Carving stations in buffet with no gravy.

    Griddled chicken at Lido grill

    Fruit plates

Steamed green veggies in MDR (yes, available)

Salad bar, oil and vinegar available

    Salmon

Fish dishes, no sauce or sauces in the side .

Some salads at International Cafe (although they can be heavily dressed)

Meat dishes in MDR with no sauce, or sauce in the side.

There's sugar free desserts, although they're not low carb (made with flour and all that stuff).

    Sugar free ice cream

    Vodka on the rocks

    Rum on the rooms

    Whiskey neat

    Dirty martini

Hot dog  or burger no bun.

On Royal class ships, there's a grilled veggie and meat station in the forward section of the buffet...

And so forth... Lots of options to shave some unnecessary calories, sugar, etc out of the diet

And for all those that say things like "live s little" or "just take the stairs" , lots of people have dietary needs that have nothing to do with weight or such a - and taking a few flight of stairs does not wipe out thousands of extra calories.

Hot dogs healthy???  Dont think so.

Much as everyone wants to knock Mr Padgett, I doubt he spent his time thinking up these concoctions.

Blame the marketing team first,  and then blame Padgett for giving them the green light !

Sorry, I never meant that he dreamt the the ice cream dishes up, I meant that he was responsible for putting them on the ships.

I like that I can change the font on the kindle - helpful as I get older.  Also, it's backlit so I can read at night without bother my wife.  Also, it takes up less space when traveling.

I fought against using a Kindle for years.  Always preferred a real book.  Now the arthritis is so bad in my hands that reading for a couple of hours is painful to hold that book.  Bought my first Kindle last fall, and I could kick myself for waiting so long.  Such a pleasure to use, and my hands dont ache from it.  I also love being able to download a new book in two minutes.  Love the fact that it is backlit, and takes up so little space.  And it holds more than a thousand books!  No worries about the battery power, it lasts so long, and charges up so quickly!
