Waldorf towers wins!  Got my room a little after 1 pm. When I went back to Blue Moon to get my bag, the same guy was at the desk and he apologized again and said that house cleaning was getting my room ready. Haha.

Happy with the room at Waldorf and since I had a decent time this morning doing some new stuff, happy that I saved some money!

Room photos, this is an ocean view corner room.

Seems like you made the best of a rainy south Florida day!

Got the $5 taxi back to the port, took a couple pics of the sign, bought 2 tshirts and went to the room to shower all the sand and sweat off, to find my favorite towel critter of this cruise...

What a fabulous, perfect day! I much prefer the authentic experiences like being in that packed mini-van. It did look crazy! Grenada is definitely on my list now.

We made it to Jamaica. We went to Chukka (?) good hope estate. I loved loved loved it. I would have liked to have had more time there. A ton of activities. I think we paid somewhere between $40 and $60, none of us could recall the exact amount. You can add any activities you want after getting there. They have river tubing, zip lining, horseback riding, ebikes, and more. We just enjoyed the grounds. I have a few pics. I think Dupable has some more.

Loved Chukka, hated the bus ride. Our driver did a bad job at missing potholes!

Our excursion was a bust. After sitting in the Royal theater for over an hour it was pretty obvious which way the wind was blowing. So we requested a refund and went back to the room to drop our stuff. It was at that point that the captain made the announcement. All tendering had been suspended. If you weren’t already off you weren’t getting off. So now everyone is out by the pool trying to get a drink from the only open bar on the ship.

Oh, wow. What time was your tender ticket for?

We are in Grand Cayman today. Dupable said it is a good thing I’m getting off. She says the cruise compass reported that only one bar will be open on the ship while we are in port. Wolf and I are doing stingrays and sandbar. Dupable and Good Sport are going to stay on the ship and toss their room looking for their ducks. Wolf has yet to relent. I’m not even sure he really hid them.

Someone had said Icon is supposed to be here today. I don’t know if that is true. I haven’t spotted her yet. It is really hot out today. Should be a nice day to be in the water.

ICON is in St. Thomas today.

Speaking of meeting people, wheels came off a bit last night as I made new friends at Vintages and drank way too much wine! Feeling poorly this morning and haven’t done anything yet…not sure if I’m going to be able to do the zip line today. And no run this morning, bummed about that!

But you woke up on Oasis of the Seas! What a win that is! Don't be too bummed about missing the run.

    Ridiculously overblown.

The poster knew about it in advance, and it had to do with Brazillian immigration. Saw him on pier in Rio. He's back on ship now

FWIW, he wanted to spend extra time in Rio, his choice

Media sites are using Tik Tok videos to write stories. I'm sure they all appreciate the extra views.

We were on one of the early 2021 cruises out of Nassau, before the US allowed cruising. The beach club was $70 I think, but close to our sail date the beach cabana price dropped to $300, so I surprised my husband and daughter.  The Waterpark was $40ish.  We had 2 days at Coco Cay, including a rare overnight.

That sounds fabulous! Were you able to stay on the island later than the normal 4pm return?

  9. I wouldn't choose Liberty as there's not a Playmakers, Izumi or poolside eats like El Loco Fresh or Fish & Ships. But as new cruisers, you wouldn't miss those things! 7 days is the bare minimum. I prefer 9 or 10 as you need days to do all the things and then days to do nothing. I also like the Freestyle machines because of all the Vitamin Water flavors and Freedom doesn't have any. If you want to knock first-time cruisers socks off, I would choose Wonder! I'd also look into VV. A friend of mine recently went and had an amazing time. She's in the 50+ crowd. She loved that there weren't any kids on the ship. She felt it made a big difference. Whichever your group decides, I hope you have an amazing time!
