Ours is doing the exact same thing. The reservations show on the cruise planner, but not in the app and says the same thing. I called and they said they see it on their end. 🤞🤞

Try West Quay Cars. We booked with them a few years ago and will be using them again next month. Pickup at LHR (waiting with a sign with your name) and drop at hotel in Southampton, 3 adults, 3 large luggage, 3 carry on bags, for 125GBP. Same price post cruise from cruise port to London hotel pre flight home. They respond to email within 24 hours. They have an app so you can see everything on your phone.

Do room stewards know that you prepaid gratiuties?
thethreeofus replied to jkx's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have no direct information, this post came from Cruise Critic Administration. Please ask your cabin steward friends how much their guarantee pay is per month and how much of the tip they get per person. I think that would help a lot of us understand the difference between guaranteed base pay and tip pay. I’ve also been told that they don’t pay anything for their room, food, laundry for uniforms or medical expenses while onboard. Basically they only pay for personal items, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. Everything else is supplied by the Cruise line. Can they verify that? That would also help us all to understand the inter workings. Thanks. -

Your observation makes sense on turnaround day. “We've been assured by various cruise lines that crew members aren't told which passengers have removed their auto-gratuities until after the sailing has ended, but we understand the concern that quality of service could suffer if crew members did find out.” -
Royal follow Carnival PLEASE!

Not a problem. I just don’t get why sister ships, same company, have opposite protocols sailing from and stopping at same ports. -

Not sure about others, but they are not the same for Europe sailings. Celebrity no longer requires testing. Royal does. -

I don’t understand why Royal and Celebrity have such different protocols since they are basically the same company. Celebrity, for sail dates Sept 5 or after, out of UK-Europe (except Iceland) has dropped vaccination requirements and no longer require monitored pre-board testing. Beginning September 5th, 2022, all travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can now cruise on the following itineraries as long as they meet any testing requirements to board: - All sailings departing from the UK and Europe (with the exception of Iceland) - All sailings departing from Los Angeles All guests ages 2 and older must present a negative COVID-19 test result to board their sailing. A negative test result from any commercially available test, including self-tests, will be accepted. Tests do not have to be monitored or proctored. Test results may be presented as a printout, screenshot or photo of the test result or the actual test. -
Preboard email differs from website and app
thethreeofus replied to thethreeofus's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I called Celebrity and she said to disregard the email. It was sent out in a blast in error. Follow the web site and phone app instructions. I asked if a corrected email would be sent, to which she replied “it’s doubtful.” -
We are sailing from Southampton on Sept. 10. We are checked in and the app says need a Covid test but it does NOT need to be monitored as of Sept 5. The website clearly states sailing from Southampton after Sept 5 need Covid test but NOT monitored. I received a Welcome Aboard email this morning stating “as of June 8, sailings from Southampton need a PROCTORED test. Seems like an old email but sure makes it confusing. Should I follow the app and website rules?

Celebrity announced theirs yesterday. No more vaccines necessary and new guidelines for testing. Check the website for your particular sailing.

Updated vac/testing guidelines are now available

Actually, after looking further, it is correct on most sailings. We are sailing out of Southampton in Sept and vaccines are no longer required after Sept 5 and testing does NOT need to be proctored. It’s on the website. -
Testing policies changed yesterday for sailings Sept 5 and after. Depending on where you are sailing from, you may not need proctored testing.Check the website for your particular port and date.

Where do you see that we vacant use any test and not a proctored one? You are the second person to state that and I don’t see it anywhere. -

Where did you read that? I don’t see it. -
How does this work with the second person in the room? Do they pay full price? Do you get to pick your room?
