  1. Thank you so much, Graham. I really appreciate it that you try to find an appropriate wishing card in Hebrew.xx This time, though, I can't stop smiling -- it seems that someone, I'm sure with the best of intentions, managed to mix "the bowls" in this picture -- it says: "Yom Huledet Sameach", which means, indeed, "Happy Birthday", but with a "Hanukkia", which is used in.... Hanukka. So --- Yom Huledet Sameach is just perfect for my b'day, which I'm happy to share with St. Patrick and Bonnie's daughter ( @BonTexasNY). L'shanah Tovah -- means "A good year" and it is used at the Jewish New Year, a first cousin to "Happy New Year" 😁 And that completes our humorous Hebrew lessons for today 😘
  2. Oh, no, my bad. When reading your reply, I just remembered that I've already read some Patterson books -- the first 7 in his Women murder club, at least 7-8 years ago... What happened is that I already have a Virgil Flowers book, "Bad blood", which is #4 in the series. Since I always try to read at least the number one in any series, you know, to get the feeling of the character, I've bought the #1, "Dark of the moon". Then, when I read the summary, I've noticed that's a kind of spinoff from Prey, so I'll start with #1 of Prey.... After Michael Bennett.😉
  3. It is, another 2 days... Just came from our next door neighbors, whose parents originated from Morocco, and they gave us maps and some useful tips. We only have 3 days there, aiming to make the most of it. Meanwhile, today I've met, after more than 4 months, my HS friends. Somehow, the hubby of our host [first on the right] lingered with us under the pretext of offering coffee, stacking the dishes, helping with the made to order eggs.... rainy day, poor soul, had nowhere to go 😉
  4. Same here, and I read EVERY single post.... Refundable deposit with group booking is THE way to go 😉
  5. Mark, get well soon!! I'm also a big fan of Myron B and his sidekick, Win. This book just came out 2 days ago, and, at almost 20$ for the kindle version, I'll wait. The reviews seem favorable so far. Hope the jury will give a favorable verdict 😉 I've followed Nancy's rec ( @Bailey & Sophie) for a Lisa Gardner book, a new author for me. Since this one is quite new and expensive, I've started with an old one, "Alone", and enjoyed very much the main characters. Moreover, I'm buying as much as I can kindle books for our next trip, so yesterday I've added another new author to my library -- James Patterson, with Step on a Crack. It was just 1$ (one dollar), so I gave it a chance, I like it. I've also added the first in the Prey series of John Sandford, for 4.5$. I really hope that we'll not have flight delays and the trip will be interesting, so I'll not need all those books to keep me going 😉
  6. Enjoy your music cruise and your royal suite 🌷 Pls don't forget to post some pics of the suite for those of us who are at the most balcony dwellers 😉
  7. + 1 💕 @Ozark_Kid John, I'm very saddened by the so far results, but optimistic that whatever it is, it was caught early and new drugs and treatments are emerging. Just read about a promising drug - Relyvrio. Glad you decided to share. In speaking with my friend, she told me she has chosen to share instead of hiding the fact that she's facing metastatic breast cancer. She said that all the energy people invest in hiding should be put into keeping a positive attitude -- "A healthy soul in a healthy body". Take care, you're in my thoughts.
  8. Same here (#9582 - 9588). There is a dividing wall and very little traffic. IMHO -- the best location ever.
  9. So this evening I went out with one group of my girlfriends (we were all relocated to Brussels at the same time in the eighties...). Besides enjoying an evening out, the aim was to "change the atmosphere" for one of our friends, who started chemo not long ago, and it was the first time she went out with "false hair" (on my right). I admire her for being so upbeat and optimistic. And here in better times, on a cruise to the Canaries (2015, Anthem), with our guide in Lisbon and her DH.
  10. DH has done it on Allure when it was 99$. Figured if it's so expensive, might as well do it on the biggest class .... Being a technical guy, he enjoyed it very much, even though he expected to see more of the mechanical aspects of sailing... Once and done.
  11. Someone called RC and was told the package is 88.99$ for 2 people. So, to be on the safe side, the advise on the thread was to book it separately for you, and for Dick... If it turns out to be correct, i.e. for 2 people, you'll just cancel one... and not miss on this great deal.
  12. So glad you made it, Greg & Linda. I was beginning to fear that another delay will time out the crew, and then another pilot wouldn't find his FOB, and....you'll end being just in time for "all aboard" 😉
  13. Heartfelt congratulations 🌷 @h20skibum Happy Belated Birthday to Jim and Mark, who, turns out, share a b'day (March 6th). For us, March is also a very good month. My beloved late dad was born March 1st (sharing it with our assassinated PM, Yitzhak Rabin), DS1 -- March 14th (sharing it with Prince Albert of Monaco 😉), with me following 3 days after. Three very good friends of mine were born 15, 30 and 31.
  14.
