Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into this review. Itâs interesting to get your perspective as an Alaskan!Â

Those extended balcony cabins are well worth the added cost. Especially if you're someone who is going to take advantage of them throughout the cruise.Â
Iâll be on one of the extended balconies on the hump later this month! Â Was there a lounger, chair and table on each one? Â Iâve seen pics with just two chairs and a table. I really want a lounger out there!Â

Anyone know if the pools are drained and refilled each night?Â

We had an aft extended balcony on MG and it had a lounger back in October.Â
It really looked as if they had simply moved loungers from the open decks down to the extended balconies, because overlooking them from above, all the loungers were those blue "on deck, there" loungers. Â
Previously, earlier cruisers on the Mardi Gras reported they did NOT have loungers, so it looked as if they made a conscious effort to add them.  Hope they're still there; they are IMO an essential perk of having an extended balcony. Â
Â
I agree! Â Why wouldnât we want a lounger on an extended balcony? And thank you for your observation.Â

We are currently on the Mardi Gras in the same type of cabin, but on the port side. (11374). We have a lounger on our balcony.Â
Thank you so much!

Has anyone stayed in this extended balcony cabin? Really want a lounger out on the balcony as it has plenty of room for it. Would I be violating any cruise rule if I brought a lounger from Lido to the cabin?!

Wow! Great review with many practical and relevant tips. Thank you so much. Following with all my heart. Will be in the Mardi Gras next month. Thank you for posting. đ

Can you wear eyeglasses on Bolt?
Is 300 lb weight limit for both passengers combined?

Just to clarify, you can order TWO starters and TWO sides at steakhouse? I thought it was just one of each per person.Â
Thanks đ -
Oddly enough, we were recently on the Magic. I was in a cove on deck 2 and another couple were in a deck 6 interior. We had some mechanical noise that would wake us in the cove. The other couple actually moved to another cabin because they heard and felt bass from the music playing on deck 5.Â

I would think it will be replaced by something else. I like the idea of ships in the same class having different options. Gives incentive to try a new ship.Â

Very little privacy when sharing a cabin. Though the beds are separated, Â your bed will be mere inches away from your cabin mate. Â If privacy is a big deal, consider booking separate cabins.Â

Enjoying your review!  We were on the same cruise and itâs interesting to see it from your perspective!  We saw the rehearsal too and made sure to get there early that night as the costuming, etc. looked very cool.  Also, that cast was the main theater cast.  I liked the regular Center Stage cast better.  Speaking of entertainment.  Iâm interested to see your review of Voodoo Moon.  I caught parts of both showings and there was a major difference between the twoâŚ
Â
On another note. Â Itâs hard to describe the crud weather we had the first few days. Â I think that a lot of the âcrowdingâ complaints came from this. Â The problem, though, on those first 2/3 days was that everybody was inside due to the weather, and you felt it. Â It was much better later in the week when the weather got better.
Â
As to the teensâŚ. All that Iâll say is that we had fun each night reading the FB posts.  That kept us entertained.
Â
Last thing. Â Loved our stateroom. Â We were towards the back in one of the balconies that âjuttedâ out. Â Tons of room out there!
Lastly⌠my favorite picture:
Hi! I noticed you had a lounge chair as well as the standard 2 chairs/table on your extended balcony. Did you have to ask for the lounger?

The clamshells are spread out down the beach already in place. They are a canvas shade overhang that is pulled up over two lounge chairs. If you rent one, you are given a paper ticket. You turn the ticket in to a staff member (look for their yellow polo shirt). The staff member then erects your clamshell. Canât do it yourself⌠the clamshells are folded down and wrapped with a locked cord. (Like a bicycle lock)
They were all sold out for our cruise. Donât wait to reserve one. As far as location- first come first served.Â

Was there last week! I absolutely LOVE half Moon Cay!  Very little shade to be found in the beach unless you walk alllllll the way down away from where the tender drops you off. There are a few trees there. Used to be a secret, but not anymore! Lol. We got off the ship ASAP and there were already three  groups camped out under the shade.  I feel like there used to be more trees! Saw several stumps. Did Carnival cut trees down?!?  My family members rented two clamshells. I recommend this.Â

It will definitely have to be entered when you do online check-in (which opens about two weeks prior to boarding)Â

I do not have my booster yet and Iâm not eligible to get a booster until after my cruise. Â I am however considered up to date with my vaccination. Â According to the new guidelines I can also test three days before the cruise.
Where did you find this information? Just curious because most people are saying you must have had the booster.Â

Diamond & Platinum party?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Just off the Mardi Gras. No Platinum party. We were allowed two free drinks during the cruise. Redeemable at any bar.Â
