Those extended balcony cabins are well worth the added cost. Especially if you're someone who is going to take advantage of them throughout the cruise.

I’ll be on one of the extended balconies on the hump later this month!  Was there a lounger, chair and table on each one?  I’ve seen pics with just two chairs and a table. I really want a lounger out there!

We had an aft extended balcony on MG and it had a lounger back in October.

It really looked as if they had simply moved loungers from the open decks down to the extended balconies, because overlooking them from above, all the loungers were those blue "on deck, there" loungers.

Previously, earlier cruisers on the Mardi Gras reported they did NOT have loungers, so it looked as if they made a conscious effort to add them.   Hope they're still there; they are IMO an essential perk of having an extended balcony.

I agree!  Why wouldn’t we want a lounger on an extended balcony? And thank you for your observation.

Enjoying your review!  We were on the same cruise and it’s interesting to see it from your perspective!  We saw the rehearsal too and made sure to get there early that night as the costuming, etc. looked very cool.  Also, that cast was the main theater cast.  I liked the regular Center Stage cast better.  Speaking of entertainment.  I’m interested to see your review of Voodoo Moon.  I caught parts of both showings and there was a major difference between the two…

On another note.  It’s hard to describe the crud weather we had the first few days.  I think that a lot of the “crowding” complaints came from this.  The problem, though, on those first 2/3 days was that everybody was inside due to the weather, and you felt it.  It was much better later in the week when the weather got better.

As to the teens…. All that I’ll say is that we had fun each night reading the FB posts.  That kept us entertained.

Last thing.  Loved our stateroom.  We were towards the back in one of the balconies that “jutted” out.  Tons of room out there!

    Lastly… my favorite picture:

Hi! I noticed you had a lounge chair as well as the standard 2 chairs/table on your extended balcony. Did you have to ask for the lounger?

The clamshells are spread out down the beach already in place. They are a canvas shade overhang that is pulled up over two lounge chairs. If you rent one, you are given a paper ticket. You turn the ticket in to a staff member (look for their yellow polo shirt). The staff member then erects your clamshell. Can’t do it yourself… the clamshells are folded down and wrapped with a locked cord. (Like a bicycle lock)

They were all sold out for our cruise. Don’t wait to reserve one. As far as location- first come first served.

  6. Was there last week! I absolutely LOVE half Moon Cay!  Very little shade to be found in the beach unless you walk alllllll the way down away from where the tender drops you off. There are a few trees there. Used to be a secret, but not anymore! Lol. We got off the ship ASAP and there were already three  groups camped out under the shade.   I feel like there used to be more trees! Saw several stumps. Did Carnival cut trees down?!?  My family members rented two clamshells. I recommend this.

I do not have my booster yet and I’m not eligible to get a booster until after my cruise.  I am however considered up to date with my vaccination.  According to the new guidelines I can also test three days before the cruise.

Where did you find this information? Just curious because most people are saying you must have had the booster.
