Hi! Can I ask you to think back on your Magic cruise? Regarding the spa- did you have a day pass? How much was it? Was the Thalasso bubble pool crowded? Thanks in advance!

Looking for opinions. What is the spa like on Magic? I LOVED the Thalasso pool on a prior cruise. It’s the main reason I would book a spa day.

In my opinion, no one really notices what others are wearing in the dining room unless they look extremely out of place. After approaching the podium to be seated, you walk to your table and are occupied with your own dinner and table mates.
Walking around the ship on formal nights:
there are people/groups that stand out to me as they are getting pictures taken because they have made an effort to dress up.

Free pool and waterslides. Definitely bathrooms. Probably showers. Lots of info at Amber Cove Cruise Port Guide.
Fantastic! Thank you for the information

Thank you! I’m glad the Hub app will work if we are linked.

Thank you:)

Anyone have experience with checking in for dining table while requesting to be seated with others from another cabin?
Wondering if there is a way to do this using the Hub app. Or do they allow you to walk up and ask for a table assignment?
We have ATD on the Magic. -
Thanks to you all for the info. Haven’t been to this port in years.

I would only add one thing. Teenagers don’t think anything bad will happen to them. So be vigilant about sunscreen. A bad sunburn is serious business.

What is the Carnival owned area like? What is offered for free? Beach area? Pool? Available food/drinks? Showers/Bathrooms?

If an additional service charge is added, the value decreases significantly.

I’ll have to practice the hard ‘no’ if I book again. Lol

Do the spa staff still give you the hard sell? I have avoided spa treatments for years because I felt badgered to buy products in the past.

Yep. Prepare for a looooong wait time. Place the call and put your phone on speaker so you can hear when someone picks up. Plan to do other things while you wait. My last call was picked up after almost 2 hours on hold.

Preface this to say… all of this is my opinion!
One big advantage of set dining is that you often get better service. The wait staff will quickly learn that Sally likes iced tea and Johnny likes lemonade and that Mom wants a plate of fresh lemons for her water. Those things will likely be waiting for you at your table when you arrive for dinner. Dad likes extra bread and lots of butter. Etc. They get to know you and provide the extras. Of course they do this partly hoping for an extra gratuity at the end of the cruise. Cannot blame them.
The other big advantage of set time is when sailing with a group, everyone knows when and where to meet for dinner. Always the same table and time. No need to try and text each other on board or communicate with others off the ship to arrange dinner; even if the group breaks up to do separate activities during the day.

So helpful! Thank you for posting. Do you recall where the package was being sold?

Thanks again for all who replied. I see it will be a waiting game. Luckily driving to port. Can’t imagine the stress for those flying. Happy Cruising everyone!

Thank you all so much! Just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed all goes well.

Ok. Thank you.

Hi. Please chime in with how soon before the cruise your child was granted approval to cruise as an unvaccinated exemption. How does Carnival inform? Email?
Also, was anyone’s child DENIED?!
Just looking for peoples actual experiences with this issue.
Thank you!

Thanks for sharing! Nice review.

Might be like the cabanas- first to guest services once on board gets first pick. Just guessing.

Thank you for the info everyone!
