  1. The moral is to take a cruise on a ship that has there same shop and return it for a refund or replacement. Any excuse for another cruise is positive.
  2. Show them the invoice from the cruise. If you don't have it call Celebrity and request the invoice that shows you bought it , where, and the price paid. I expect that they will give you your cash back or a replacement. They accepted my DW's without proof, but she is known to them. I expect that they will request you to get documentation and you should be prepared.
  3. Been on both cruise and you can't go wrong with either. I prefer the itinerary on the Baltic, but the British Isles is a fine cruise. I would look at the ship and when it's going. As said: August might be less desirable and Berlin is a long bus ride from the port. It's just what you prefer and only you know the answer.
  4. Go on another cruise and stop at the shop and show them the item. My DW did that and they offered a refund or replacement.
  5. I was in Blu for the TA on Silhouette and my experience in Blu was truly outstanding. Great meals! The waiter was among the best I've experienced. I wish I could say the same for his assistant. Breakfast service was also excellent. The Maitre 'd was outstanding. The Blu experience varies from cruise to cruise, depending on staff ,so you might want to follow the advice of Cruise a holic to get a less expensive cabin and get a dining package. But I was pleased that I stayed in Aqua Class on my trip.
  6. They will give you printed directions for the move. They usually have a meeting for those who are doing a B2B on the final day. Done it many, many times and you shouldn't be concerned.
  7. On Silhouette TA and most Zeniths were in Suites. I was in Aqua Class so didn't meet them until there end of the cruise. Captain's Club Hostess treated us special and was available to do most of the tasks performed by the Retreat Concierge. It worked out better than I expected, but there was definitely a different feeling that I experienced.
  8. The Beyond Burger served in Blu is plant based and has a lot of salt. Not really healthy. I understand for a former RM that the burger served in Luminae is lamb and not beef based. I could be wrong since you have more Suite experience.
  9. It's good business to comp Blue Chip members since, according to the head of the loyalty program, they cover the cost of the cruise plus. I'm certain that the bean counters at Celebrity based their decisions on the contributions to the bottom line. Others do the same by encouraging people who spend the most to get benefits. That is true in casinos. The more you spend, or lose, the more you get. Park West at one time, perhaps currently, gave free cruisers to heavy spenders.
  10. The growing group of new Zeniths appear to be Blue Chip members who get comp cruises as well as the points. At some point, it might have arrived, the “top cruiser” will be Suite guests who do not pay for the cruise. Have absolutely no problem with this. X can do whatever they want.
  11. Little to no hope of getting a new level. They have been reducing benefits,
  12. I do and it was! My money, my choice. What you decide to do it is up to you. What I decide to do is up to me. Why settle for less than I want? I've been to the specially restaurants many, many times and find the menus insufficient for my taste.
  13. Computers were down and they had to manually check at C&I. That was the cause of the delay.
  14. Are you sure it's beef? Does anyone know the ingredients used?
  15. No, it was not available. I would have taken it if it was available.
  16. I rarely go to the pool area or drink anything other that Diet soda and water. You must have been on the 4 day, which is sometimes referred to as a "booze cruise". That being said, the ship should have been prepared
  17. There are usually massive changes in crew the week before and after a TA. I have noticed that the Captain has changed.
  18. She might not be on ships until the Silhouette crossing to Southampton. She announced that Steve and her are embarking on a new venture. They have rented a place in Deerfield Beach, Florida and plan o stay there 6 months until they return to UK. Wish her well as she enters the next stage of her life.
  19. I don't know what the ratio was, but in Blu there was no service problem.
  20. To Start with the positives: Blu was outstanding. The Food and service was the best we've experienced in more than 25 cruises in Blu! The Maitre'd was wonderful! Some changes to the menu and they were positive for our taste. Captain George was outstanding. He was totally transparent about rough waters and his plans to navigate. He is an exceptional Captain who really cares. The film he took part in for Halloween was outstanding. The entertainment was better than average. Jayne Curry was the headliner and no matter how many times I hear her she is amazing. The Halloween Party was fun! The speakers covered a broad range of subjects and were quite good. CD Mike was excellent. The negatives: I'm a Zenith so the negatives are from my perspective and might not apply to other loyalty levels. I was in Aqua Class so I need to pay for internet and drinks which are included in my benefits. I don't like paying for things that I get for free. The internet was very, very spotty. That's not the fault of Celebrity. I the food in the Oceanview substandard. The Retreat was not available to Zeniths. Most Zeniths on this cruise were in Suites so they gathered there. This resulted in my not meeting most Zeniths until the end of the cruise. Possible solution: Grandfather in those who achieved Zenith before the change on the M and S Classes of ships on a space available basis. I realize that they needed to create something special for the Suite passengers to justify the price. Conclusion: Some of my fellow Zeniths asked me if I would take another Celebrity cruise. Answer: I would if I found the itinerary interesting and it was well priced.
  21. Completely agree. Just returned for Silhouette TA and found the hamburgers bland and the hotdog was inedible. One bite and I threw it away! The food in Blu was simply outstanding for me! I found that food in the Oceanview was mediocre. Others may differ as taste differs in people.
  22. On Celebrity Silhouette TA mow and will be on Viking Neptune in December. Experienced some rough seas at start, but clam now. Internet is spotty, but this is a wonderful cruise.
  23. Let me try one more time! For my cruise the beverage package and internet were included in the price of the cruise. The beverage package and internet is still a benefit, but if you're booking Aqua Class or above you are required to pay for the packages in the fare. There is no option for a credit or discount. That means you are paying for an option that you had free in the past. That in my view is a reduction in total benefits.
