  1. Good job you don't like Our Annie!!!!!😁 Lucky you. We have no more bookings this year but have next year [and '26!]. Already looking forward to it.
  2. I'd probably inadvertently 'do' the flaming!!!! 😄
  3. NowVoyager2 , we have been sailing with Cunard since 2011 and can find very little difference in the service we have received or the quality of the menus. I don't 'do' costume jewellery, my clothes have been known to be 'designer' and believe me, the food we eat is most definitely NOT what we eat at home, even from my caterers M&S and Waitrose, and I will not be alone in these respects. If you find it's not worth booking anything 'above' a mid ships balcony, I'm hard pressed to know how you can evaluate food, cabin, service etc BC.PG and QG without having tried it...recently!
  4. Cabin staff must love us. We say 'leave us 'til the last and no need to hoover the sitting room every time'. Bedroom and bathroom/s and a quick tidy up is all we need.🙂
  5. and I'd go a step further and say future Cunard clients.
  6. Wouldn't get mine. The age profile on a Cunard sailing is often quite high and to have families sailing with us lowers it considerably. We sail in the summer school holidays every year and it's an absolute delight to see the beautifully behaved teens and younger children having a wonderful time.
  7. The Insight lectures took at least 24 hrs to be uploaded onto the television.
  8. Nah It's not that bad but some folk would say first prize is one bottle of P.A.. second prize is two! I would go for the third prize and take three! Not too bad solo if very chilled but makes a great Kir Royale! Teddy looks sloshed so probably finished it off on his [her?] own
  9. She [he?] has polished off his P.A.! 😁
  10. It might be easier if two viewpoints are consolidated onto Hattie's thread which she started a couple of days ago. That's what exlondoner and I did. We both used her thread as 'our' thread! 🙂 https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/3026946-notes-from-queen-anne-to-the-mediterranean/page/4/#comment-67893456
  11. Possibly but there are times in life when selfish needs override issues for others. Not all passengers are as considerate as you too in exiting a lift to give others the space needed. 🙂
  12. Unfortunately, human nature as it is, there will always be those who are 'generous' with their bugs. The 'Cunard Cough' is a legend in its own lifetime and makes its presence felt on nearly every two week plus cruises we've been on especially Worldies [segments for us]. On worldies, it develops and spreads quite nicely, on one/two weekers, it's def. brought onboard and is kindly spread by the end of two weeks. It is what it is and as mentioned, thanks to a period of isolation '20/'21,and those wfh more, immunity can be quite low for many
  13. Offends busymumofthree? I'm not offended at all. I don't get offended with an online site. Prevalent means common/widespread and in fairness to the ship in question, there might be comments on social media from those who had Covid onboard but the thousands who haven't been affected so far, don't comment and so on balance, Covid might be onboard but it's not prevalent onboard.
  14. Two Cunard bear examples.🙂
  15. In reply to 'impaired eyesight', if lobby B lifts are the elevators in point, we too are of the 'impaired eyesight' brigade and have been for years now even before the wheelchair. Lifts with space can be rare animals at certain times of the day and if getting to deck 10/11 means going down to go up, then we do it. Bad luck if it annoys but we will continue to do it whatever the ship and I know we won't be alone doing so.
  16. We have spent four weeks on QA so far and haven't seen hide nor tail of any Covid. A few have obviously been unlucky. That does not equate to 'prevalence'.
  17. You certainly didn't and with no mention of any specifics and definitely no mention of 'recommended' TAs or 'everyday' TAs. In fact, you were rather scathing in your generalisation of 'TAs'.
  18. Fig [and pear?] compote became my go to along with Cambozola and a really yummy 'artisan' biscuit just like Miller's Cranberry and Raisin 'toast' for my dessert. In other words, I had cheese with my fig conserve/jam/compote and biscuits! 🙂
  19. A porter? At Southampton? They are rare beasts indeed both for em/disembarkation.
  20. He has retired from public performances so it will be interesting to see if he actually plays. It will be lucky passengers if he does give a recital.
  21. Oh wow, he's certainly mine!
  22. There's engaging brain and then there is condescending, depending on manner of delivery. I can 'do' replies in either vein!!!😅
  23. Yes thank you and I hope you have enjoyed it too, would have been my reply. 😁
  24. I think it's VIP, when referring to any discount offers/obc/ drink promotions/ fare matches etc etc, the country of origin should be stated as the UK v US for instance seem to have differing t&cs.
  25. Oh how true! We caught up on a few films too.😀 edit I don't do an 'hour by hour' post as our time onboard can seem quite banal at times compared to many who are hither and thither all the time, but that's the beauty of a cruise. One can be really busy or we can be as 'banal' as we want. We love Cunard holidays!
