What makes you feel like this itinerary isn't toddler friendly? I'm not trying to be snarky, just genuinely curious. We are taking our just-turned-2 year old in October, but we're overnighting in Cabo. We did the same itinerary with our older DD a couple of years ago, but this will be our first cruise with a toddler. We LOVED PV with our older DD, but wondering what issues it has for littler ones.
That itinerary spent a short time in Cabo (7-3). Then got in a little late to PV, stayed overnight and left earlyish the next day (noon-3p next day). I felt the time in PV was a waste. If it was just me & DH, great but the toddler needs to get to bed at a reasonable time.
We changed to a few weeks later. More time in Cabo, a full day in PV, and most of a day in Mazatlan. I love the new itinerary.

Thanks for your review. We were supposed to be sailing her the 1st cruise out of dry dock, but b/c the itinerary changed to a not so toddler friendly one (really what am I going to do with an overnight stop in PV with a 20 month old), we are now going to be sailing in April. Can't wait!!
We have also purchased FTTF, what time do you recommend showing up. Boarding docs say 1 but I was thinking more like 11ish.

We're going taking the Miracle in April and I'm trying to figure out what to do while were in port. the issue is that we will be traveling with a 20 month old. I don't want to bring his carseat along, but I will not put him in a taxi/car without one.
So we need our mode or transport to either be foot, bus, or boat. Our stops are Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerta Vallarta.
I'd like to do a beach day in either Mazatlan or PV, since I *think* the water will be warmer there. I'd also be okay with going to a resort with a kiddy pool somewhere since I know he can't go in the pools on the ship.
If anyone has any ideas, I would love to here them. Either excursions, things to do, or transportation tips at any of these port.!
TIA

They just opened up more FTTF for my April cruise last night. There were 13 left when I purchased it for our 2 rooms. I looked again today just to see and there were 4 left.
Normally I wouldn't get it, but this is my first time cruising with a kid (a 20 month old at that!) So I know I'm going to have a million extra things, so being able to not wait to board with the masses, dropping off the millions of extra things that a toddler requires, and not waiting in line for our tensor port. I look at it as 50 dollars to save some small piece of my sanity. :p

The aft on lido deck on Spirit class ships is adults only. Pool/hot tub/bar.
Can't wait! Less than 2 months to go

Both.
We (me & DH) bring on 2 bottle of wine, a 12pack of pop, 6 large bottled waters, and 6 gatorade/propel/hangover re-hydration

Really???? I Just did one wednesday and got an email that they received but nothing has changed yet...mine was already paid so Im supposed to get OBC...
Sent from my GT-P5210 using Forums mobile app
Same here!
I plan on calling tomorrow. Even though the rate is still available, I screen shot it the night I submitted just in case

So far I upgraded our interior to a balcony for $80 and now got a $60 OBC by matching with the More=Merrier promo.
Not too shabby in my opinion.
I called and had Carnival do it for me. But I also screenshot the price just In case I don't see it applied w/I the next day or so. The rep on the phone said to make sure to call w/I 72 hours if it hadn't shown up yet.

WOW! That's amazing.
My cruise coming up in April is the first time we've booked ES. So far our room rate has never been as less than what we paid but the price of balconies dropped quite a bit so I was able to upgrade our room (3 people) from an interior to a balcony for $80 and upgrade my parents room (2 people) same upgrade and they got 60 OBC. I told my dad that he owes me.
Still quite a few rooms available so I'm hoping to see some more price drops in the next 60 days. I at least deserve enough for a few free drinks for all the price checking I'm doing!
-
I suppose it's what your comfortable with. I just upgraded from and interior to a balcony for $80 total for 3 of us.
I was willing to pay up to $150 difference to go to a balcony and it had been holding Strong at $250 more that what I paid for the past 10 months. The more = merrier sale happened so the price dropped a lot and I jumped on that.
When we booked our honeymoon, we booked an OV and I watched the prices of balconies. When an extended aft drop to about 200 more than what we paid, I upgraded our room. But I wouldn't have upgraded to a regular balcony for that price. I'm also very prick about room location.
I also like being my own advocate. I'm not going to wait for a call. I'll call and upgrade myself if the numbers are right

I don't know much about formula but I thought that it was only good for a day after being mixed?
Maybe purchasing some of those ready mixed bottles would be better so that you don't have to worry about wasting product.

The fact that they do this at all, even if it takes forever, is so nice. Land based casinos give you 24 hours to cash in paper vouchers and that is it. I am sure many a drunk person has come home to find a paper voucher in their pocket or wallet days later and that must really hurt when it is for a decent amount of money. I think it is extremely fair and right for Carnival to make sure everyone gets their money.
Every casino in Vegas that I've been to gives you 90 days.

Thanks. I thought so but then I was looking at pictures online and the looked narrow. I've never been in a regular balcony so I couldn't compare. *spoiled*

We just got an amazing deal to move up from an interior room to and obstructed balcony on the Miracle (cost $80 for one room and got $60 obc for the other room!) Our rooms are above the 4th life boat, which puts only our view down obstructed.
Does anyone know if these balconies are smaller than regular balconies?
My husband & I got spoiled with our aft on our last cruise. If it's smaller than a regular balcony, I might have to upgrade us again
-
Nope. Interior is still never gone down from what I paid. In fact it has stayed $20-30 more than what I paid for the past year. Right now it's only a $40 difference between an interior room and a balcony. So no OBC for me so far.
Called today and the PVP told me it would be 160 to upgrade 😡. Not sure where he was getting the extra $90 from...
Then he told me the room I wanted to upgrade to was a cove balcony 😕. On a Spirit class ship.... on deck 5....
I think I shall be calling back and speaking to someone else. This guy (my old PVP is no longer there) obviously needs some more training
-
I'm pretty sure that I know the answer but I'd like some confirmation...
We booked ES last year, are past final payment date. We are booked in interior rooms. The price of balconies has dropped dramatically. It's only $70 more to upgrade.
If I upgrade to this new category, we will still be early saver and still elegible for price drops on our new category room, correct?

I turn Gold on my cruise in April. Just paid it off and was looking at my boarding doc. Already has me listed as Gold.
-
Following. I'm interested in non taxi ways to get around. We have a 1 1\2 year old.
-
My travel doc for my cruise on her in April says boarding is between 1p and 3p.
We live pretty close to LB and plan on heading there at noon

This is what I've found while searching for Carnivals sitting service:
Carnival night owl is the babysitting service after 10p until 1a. It's 6.75/hr plus tip (15%). The do change diapers as long as the child is small enough to fit on the changing table. They have PnPs for infants.
(No actual experience yet. Baby's first cruise is in april. Found info on the carnival website forum)

My husband tried the Breath Rite strips on a whim during out honeymoon cruise. And, (hallelujah) they worked pretty well!!
I got him to use them for while after, they just were too pricey to keep up consistently. Sadly. I hope they have them in our room on our next cruise. FX.

My husband & I spent a week before/after our honeymoon cruise in Puerto Rico. If your not afraid to go off the beaten path, I know a bunch more things but here are a few to get you started:
Tour the forts: El Morro & Cristobol
Downtown San Juan: go to Barrachina. They invented the Pina Colada http://www.barrachina.com/indexb.php Try the mofungo
Hike in the rainforest: El Yunque
Kayak the BioBay. This is the one we did. They were really fun, tour guides were great http://kayakingpuertorico.com/index.html
Tour the Bacardi Factory (its free!)

I get 'land sick' really bad after every cruise. Never gotten even slightly seasick.
After a day of deep sea fishing (6 hours on a boat), I'm usually off balance for a week. A week long cruise will put me off for almost a month.
I've read that women are more prone to it.

Only if you booked Early Saver.
Long Beach "White" Dome?
in West Coast Departures
Posted
It is.
I was at the QM twice this month for events that were held there. (Royal Rendezvous & Scotfest) The dome didn't look especially dirty to me.
