  1. That is the boat I saw on the web cam. The owner posted on social media that they moved it back to the Dockyard are getting it into shape and will open in June. I guess that is too late for your dates.
  2. You say domestic flight. So you are not flying back to the US?
  3. I agree with getting some Euros at an ATM with a Debit card or ATM card. .Make sure you use a bank ATM and check for skimmers if it is outside the bank. Best exchange rate. But you shuld use credit cards as much as possible. You should use one with no foreign transaction fees. Also don't let merchants convert the charge grom Euros to USD. That is a scam. I have been u.sing Uber in countries that have it but those that don't usually have a taxi app. Don't need cash for tips except for guides as a service charge will be added to restaurant bills. Europe does not have a tipping culture. Need a few Euros for toilets. So you don't need that many Euros. I get about 20 or 40 and replenish if needed at an ATM.
  4. The shuttle price is still $7 to Horseshoe. That fare (minibuses)and taxi fares are regulated by the government. The taxi drivers want fares raised but the government has not taken any action. As far as Horseshoe prices it would be good if one of the early season travelers took a picture of the prices and menus if they are on a sign and posted it.
  5. Also a US citizen must get a visa if they embark in Istanbul. A visa is not needed EU-EU with Istanbul as a port of call.
  6. On social media they have posted re-opening spring 2023 and that they are hiring.
  7. I don’t know. I do see two boats docked near where they docked Calico Jacks’s on the Port Webcam. One is the Long Tail Floating Fun park. Next to it is another boat that could be Calico Jacks but I cant really make it out. Take a look. https://www.portbermudawebcam.com/
  8. It is easy to take the ferry to Hamilton for shopping. I answered your questions about St. George and Crystal Caves and Tobacco Bay Bay in a couple of other threads. You can take a minibus to Horseshoe Bay from the Dockyard. No need to take any buses anywhere on the island although the buses are easy and and inexpensive option. These days I take a combo of ferries and taxis because a taxi is worth the expense to me but I have taken many buses in Bermuda in the past. Bermuda is more like small town than a city. Only 67,000 residents over 25 miles. Ferry schedule. http://www.rccbermuda.bm/Documents/Ferry/Summer Ferry Schedule 2023.pdf Bus schedule. https://www.gotobermuda.com/sites/default/files/2022-10/Bus_Schedule_EFFECTIVE_31January2022[1].pdf
  9. The island Tour Centre does have a couple of snorkeling excursions from Hamilton. You would have to check about Sunday. Also the Dockyard is only a 20 or 30 minutes ferry ride from Hamilton if there is an excursion you want to do from the Dockyard. https://www.islandtourcentre.com/snorkeling/
  10. Take the #7 to Hamilton and from Hamilton the #11 or #10. If you get a transportation pass you can stop at Gibbs Lighthouse along the #7 route and the Aquarium at Flatts Village along the #11 or #10. Also the Swizzle Inn.
  11. There could be some at the ferry. I usually walk to the taxi stand in the town square.
  12. Tobacco Bay is a good beach to snorkel from in St. George. It is a 15 minute walk or a short taxi ride.
  13. I only need 3 points to make Diamond Plus.That has been since 2019 and I don’t really care…..
  14. I doubt it. Usually someone from the ship tips off the authorities. They do have sniifer dogs though so a dog might have sniffed something in her bag so then they checked her cabin.
  15. She needed better sense than to bring cocaine into a foreign country. She was in Bermuda. Their rules, their laws. I would guess you could get a lawyer but you would probably be stuck in Bermuda for a while.A lawyer and accomodations would be expensive. Most passengers caught with drugs probably pay the fine to be done with it.
  16. Bag searched getting off in Bermuda by Bermuda security. Then they searched her cabin and found cocaine. https://www.royalgazette.com/court/news/article/20230512/cruise-ship-passenger-fined-for-cocaine-possession/
  17. Passenger was on NCL Prima. Random bag search after disembarking then cabin searched. https://www.royalgazette.com/court/news/article/20230512/cruise-ship-passenger-fined-for-cocaine-possession/
  18. I have been to Maho Beach.a couple of times. We took a taxi. Can't figure out why anyone would do it on a cruise line excursion. Easy DIY. Not a generaly challenging beach. I don't recall any reason why it should be higher than a 1. It is not necessary to go near the runway. Common sense should be enough to stay away from that area unless you wanted a thrill. I personally did not like being blasted by the jet thrust but I knew that the jets flew low overhead. I think anyone would expect a jet right overhead to make noise and stir up the air. We even checked the airport schedule to make sure there would be a flight.
  19. If you and the OP need to be coddled you should probably stay onboard. And why would anyone need to be told not to walk on a path in bare feet? It says comfortable shoes All shoes are protective...... I guess 100 page disclaimers that none will bother to read are needed as the default assumption should be that people don't have common sense. That they would walk on gravel in bare feet........
  20. Some browsers can set page zoom size for specific websites. I use Safari and have the page zoom set at 125% for Cruise Critic so no need to change every time or effect other websites. The problem with text size, font and color changes made on Cruise Critic is what looks good on one device can be unreadable on others. There is a script font some have used which is somewhat readable on some computers that is totally unreadable on iPads.
  21. I am sure they will figure it out. I try to listen but the last one was not very engaging. I stopped paying attention. Two brothers co captaining a ship blah, blah blah. It was a yawn. If they determine that people are not listening then they should make them more engaging or stop making them.
  22. When they want to discontinue the program they can and will discontinue it. They don’t have to justify discontinuing it in any way. They might be reducing the frequency as a prelude to discontinuing it but they don’t have to justify it by having dwindling interest. It is a relatively recent marketing program and marketing programs eventually run their course.
  23. You can take the ferry there and back. I always use the ferry if my ship is docked at the Dockyard. The ferry has extended hours on Harbour Nights. The ferry runs until 10:30. There is a 9:00 PM run which is a good time if you don’t want to stay until 10:30.
  24. There is no quiz. You just have to watch it or pretend to watch it.
