I do everything on autopay. And I get alerts on all my accounts of any activity. I don’t take a computer. The iPhone and iPad are more secure than a PC. A PC would be a weak link. But since everything is on autopay that was set up at home I have not needed to usually to access my accounts on the iPad.

If you are paranoid because of that bad experience go ahead and do a cruise line tour. Your piece of mind is more important than saving a few dollars.

I enjoyed the webinar too but the elephant in the room for me is that Celebrity does not cruise Glacier Bay. When I do a return cruise to Alaska it will be on Holland America again or Princess. Since Princess has sailings that do both Glacier Bay and Hubbard I am leaning to do Princess next time.

Since you sailing begins before October 25 I could see that might be a grey area. Does any of it make any sense? Why is October 25 the start date? Not much of it makes sense to me but it is what it is.

That is a good point. A nuclear powered ship would probably not be allowed in many ports. Maybe most ports. And would the US allow foreign flagged nuclear powered cruise ships in our ports?

What is your proof of that? One person has said they were disappointed and many more said the new service was great. The disappointed person may have been a one off.

They already have. The premium tier. And I would not call Celebrity's pricing for it cheap.

i suggest booking a private one unless you have OBC to burn. The cruise line books the same minibuses and upcharges you.

I use the stick but only on my face. I had a bad habit of getting the liquid sunscreen in my eyes. The stick solved that.

It is not profitable. If it ever became profitable there would be.

I am retired and have no need to be connected on a cruise but I want to be. I like to download the news in the morning and read some of it later. I like to maintain contact with family. I am able to control myself and not spend every. moment on the interent. It is my vacation and don't need a presumptous lecture not to connect on vacation. Celebrity understands that many passengers do need it, some for work or business, and desire faster internet and is making an upgrade. That is what this topic is about. I get that now. I was not getting that it was political before because I don't look at things that way. It didn't occur to me.

You have to wait until Celebrity changes its website. The call center people are bascily human robots who read from a script on their computer screen. It is a waste of time to call them or argue on this matter. Bermuda made their changes late last week and the Celebrity certainly sends those changes to their legal department. There is always going to be a lag before the website is changed and phone reps updated.

I would not call it a city but their ship may be in the berth where they would turn left. In any case it is almost impossible to miss the staging area which is between the two berths where the shuttles are waiting.

i was able to accèss Cruise Critic and even make Facetime calls with the basic but my reading of more recent reports is that they are seem to be blocking or trying to block everything but email and texting and force passengers to have the costlier package if they want to do more.

The beach is not comfortable at 75 with cold water temperatures. Also i should mention the swarms of portuguese man o war in the water that wash ashore and are laying on the beach. But I agree with your that it is great golf weather.

You posted that you won't take private excursions because of the risk of missing the ship.

How can it be pleasant for beach bathing when it is not warm enough for swimming? They make no sense. I went once in middle May and could not even sit on the beach as the wind was blowing sand all over and 70 felt like 60. So sure if you want a hotel at $400 a night instead of $800 I guess that is what they mean by a great discount.

It is funny to me that two ex military police are scared of Manhattan. I have been there many times day and night and your fear gives me a chuckle.

I don't know where you googled that it is the best time of year. But if you like the 60's and not doing the beach I guess that is the time for you. Beach season begins at the end of May. March and April would be great golf weather or whale watching but there are no crowds because there is not much to do in March or April. Also no casinos and entertainement is pretty limited. Not only limited cruises in the winter but limited flights to Bermuda.

I think a tour is a great option for Saturday or Sunday. You can do a taxi tour $50 an hour minimum 3 hours now but taxi rates ar going up soon. There are also private minibus tours. You can pre arrange tours which is best but usually you can get a taxi tour or minibus tour when you get off the ship. They also have 2 seater electric vehicles for rent in Bermuda but you must book those in advance. We used to have a good list of tour operators but because of the covid hiatus it is pretty dated.
