  1. I'm on the Symphony in May so this is a great read! One thing that interests me about those menus, they have appeared to have removed a tier of drinks? What has happened to the "Royal Signatures" which are $15 (aka above the drinks package price?!)

    Have they removed them completely?!

Or am i about to find out that you can now only have the classics and must pay for the Premium:rolleyes:...

Edit: I also see a bottle of red in your cabin, was that included in your CP fare or is that the one you bought in duty free? I booked through an english travel agent, but i have the sneaky feeling only Americans get the neighbourhood cabin perks such as wine, free speciality lunch etc

I’m from the Uk and got the perks for being in a Boardwalk Balcony.

  2. Thanks for all your responses.

I’m travelling with my parents on the ship. My sister and brother in law are going on holiday to Majorca that week. I just thought it would of been nice for my sister to see the ship (as she’s never cruised before and been trying to get her in one).

We, as a family, all do live within 2 minutes of each other in the UK so it’s not that much of a big deal if we don’t get to dock there. It was just an idea.

    Thanks again. [emoji41]

  3. Last year, we gave our luggage to the porters and then headed back to the taxi rank and head for the Gothic Quarter.

There is pick-pockets so you do need to be wary but there is in all major European cities.

There are no lockers to leave stuff at the ports but just give to the porters and enjoy your day.

  4. I have the exact same problem we have 2 cabins therefore 2 bookings, and I used to be able to see both bookings in my account. Have now had to create one for hubby to see the second cabin. I think before because the surname was the same it let you add them but now it asks who you are and of course you are not on the other booking so it doesn't allow you to add it!

Such a shambles, why release something that is clearly not ready! Shame on you royal!

I’ve been able to add my Mum and Dads booking on to my login in.

  5. My main concern with this new, more restrictive menu is that there doesn't appear to be as many "allergy friendly" options as there were before. My daughter has Celiac, so gluten free is a necessity, not a choice. On several menus I've seen posted, the gf options are limited to 1 or 2 appetizers, 1 or 2 entrees, and ice cream for dessert. Also, while I know that she'll see the menu the night before, with the cutbacks in waitstaff, I don't know if they'll have the time to check which options might be able to be "tweaked" to make them safe for her to eat.

My friend has to have gluten free and she was looked after like a princess in MDR. Could not of done more for her. They knew she had to have gluten and would change things around for her.

    Just ask! [emoji41]

  6. New to the Oasis class ships. Confirmed in a deck 12 cabin, figuring it was closer to the Diamond Lounge (if we can get in haha) - but now thinking that deck 8 could be more convenient to restaurants, etc. Anyone have any wisdom on this or doesn't it make a huge difference??

    Thanks,

    Linda

I was on deck 12 looking in to the Diamond lounge on BW balcony. It’s closer to the WJ and pools. Didn’t mind walking up and down the stairs as it burns off the calories. [emoji16]

  7. Hi, first time on Royal Caribbean. Have cruised only on Princess previously. Can anyone advise what the promenade cabins are like, and if they are worth it? Any photos would be very appreciated!

Also, if you were going to book a promenade cabin, what deck would you choose and why? A friend and I are tentatively looking at Adventure of the Seas out of FLL in October.

    Thanks in advance!

I was originally booked for an inside and decided that, because I was travelling solo, it would be nice to look outside so decided for a promenade room. It’s the best for people watching. This was Explorer deck 7 I think.
