  1. The daily menus are 404 (HTTP code for not found) for me on the Nieuw Statendam. I know that's not the app's fault. It's a bad link. My guess - and it's only that - is that the URL being passed to the app works fine on the ship, but not externally. Otherwise, people on the ship would not see their menus.
  2. Sorry to hear that. I'm out of suggestions. (But iOS isn't my normal playground, so there's a good chance there's a solution of which I am unaware.) Here's an image showing how to clear app data. The example is for Safari, but it should work for Navigator as well. I think that Navi uses the same webview applet as Safari, so you may want to selectively clear Safari as well. Note: I don't like to clear all my browser data because you can get rid of saved passwords and other things you need.
  3. Do you have the deluxe, upgraded MDR bread puddings at dinner? We had them almost every night a few weeks ago. There were delicious. For some reason, they were not on the Lido menu. They were only on the MDR menus.
  4. There is a downtown Publix on Andrews Avenue about a 0.6 miles/ 1 km walk away from the Riverside. It didn't show up when @kazu did her search, so keep it mind. (The short walking route is along the riverfront and through the park at Huizenga Plaza. It's about 1 mile / 1.2 km by car.)
  5. Once I turned off MAC randomization, the number of new login requests dropped dramatically. There was still the occasional request, but that appears to have had more to do with the DHCP lease expiration than anything else. (Because you know what makes for a fun vacation? Diagnosing and fixing network issues! HAL may not have rock climbing walls and roller coasters, but they do have fun activities like this. And coloring for adults.)
  6. The last resort option is to uninstall the app. Shut down and restart the phone. Then reinstall the app.
  7. Go to the app's settings and look for the options “Clear cache,” “Clear data,” or “Clear storage.” However, clearing the cache is not a universal option and some apps don't provide it.
  8. I have my default handler for the Navigator menus set to Firefox. I copied the URL over to a developer's browser, that's how I know that the URL is 404, or HTTP Not Found. We should be seeing the Blue Gala menu, but the file is not there. Maybe the menu is missing because gala is now dressy. 😉 You can see the PDF file name in the URL. The download=inline is telling the browser to display the file using its internal viewer. In other words, in the context of the current web page. https://moapp-navigator.hollandamerica.com/ds-public/api/anchor/api/content/ns/menu/a22909895098489489b655777d5e151b/d888ac55bcf645cd4f7a2c236cb304b9_blue_gala_menu_2024_v.2.pdf?download=inline
  9. Do you see the menus? I can see some, but other links are bad.
  10. A good friend of ours who was on the Rotterdam before us mentioned that she was having the problem. I couldn't diagnose the cause or find the solution until I experienced it firsthand.
  11. I would like to add that this login issue is relatively new. The authentication method was different in December. They must have changed it between the end of last year and our sailing over Easter. I saw on Rich's thread that they were updating the Volendam today. I don't know if that's the change they're making or not. But, since he's been on the Volendam for a third of year now, he's in a position to know. @richwmn
  12. I ran into an issue we were on the Rotterdam a few weeks ago. I was constantly being prompted to provide my login credentials. It took me a day and a half to figure out why it was happening. It turns out that newer versions of Android and iOS randomize your device's MAC address to add an extra layer of security. That's great for most networks, but not for ones with a lot of access points that you're moving between. (Like a ship.) Apple iOS 14 or Android 10 and higher have MAC randomization. I wrote up a little tutorial on how to turn off the randomization and present your phone's or tablet's static, real MAC address. There's a link below.
  13. What type of device do you have? Android or iOS? I can help you with Android. I'm sure someone can help with Apple IOS.
  14. The "Fix" for the Wi-Fi Disconnect issue: I noticed that the ship's Wi-Fi kept asking me to login over and over as we loved about to different areas. While it's tempting to blame HAL, the blame for this falls squarely on Android and iOS. The latest versions of the operating systems generate an random MAC address each time you connect to a network. That is more secure, but it causes the network to think that you are using a new device every time you connect. Because you are connecting to different access points as you move about the ship, your phone or tablet is presenting itself with new MAC address each time, The MAC (media access controller) address is normally a 6 octet address that uniquely identifies the hardware of your device. Now that your eyes have glazed over from geek-speak, here's what you need to do to have your phone or tablet present its real MAC address to the ship. (My diagrams are for stock Android, but the steps are roughly the same for iOS devices.) You may still have to login occasionally when your network lease expires, but it will cut the number of logins down dramatically. Please remember that you are only doing this for the ship's network. In my case that was Rotterdam-Guest, You can leave MAC randomization on for other networks if you like. However, if you run into the constant login issue in the future on another wireless network, this is the solution.
  15. Did you try clearing the app's cache and data? If one of the app's build tables gets corrupted, it can cause the issue you're describing.
  16. Rich tells you in his 134 Days thread. It's near the end of the current posts. He was near the aft pool, but moved. I wound up a photo of some random people when I snapped the back of the ship.
  17. Yes, they are. However, I snagged the URL the Navigator app was pulling for the menus and I can see that dinner in the MDR and CO are both 404. We're not sailing until next week March, so it's not the I really need to see them.
  18. If you clear the app cache and data, that usually works. You will need to log in again. You can book shore excursions on the HAL website if the app is not playing nice. If neither of those work, you can call the shore excursions office. They probably won't be in until Monday though.
  19. We're on the Nieuw Statendam next and the menus aren't showing. They're 404, so the link is bad.
  20. Oh well. If you run into any of the people you were standing by earlier, you can tell them I have their picture. 😁
  21. You'll get the "love note" tonight. We got one, because - despite watching the safety video twice - it never registered. I eventually took a video of us watching the video for proof. Luckily the third time was the charm. Best of luck!
  22. Hope I got you on the zoom. I should have pulled out my real camera and tripod. These are phone pix.
  23. That explains why I can't see you yet. 😉
